- A compilation of the Sheffield Supertram Network featurning a range of locations throughout including:
Yellow Route Meadowhall to Middlewood
Blue Route Malin Bridge to Halfway
Purple Route Meadowhall to Herdings Park.
All City Centre Tram Stops are featured between Shalesmoor and Granville Road / Sheffield College and all three termini are within the video.
The video begins in 2014 at Hillsborough where the lines branch of to Malin Bridge and Middlewood, and during the video is the Depot open day celebrating 21 years of the system. The arrival of the new Class 399's comes soon after and depot training can be seen after passing one on the system earlier in the day. Towards the end of the video the Class 399 Citylink Tram Train does feature in service before their grounding in December 2017.
There are some location on the network that make for stunning photography.
If you like your Siemmens Duewag's then sit back as there is about a good 2 hours of them to enjoy!
5 years later and I still love this video. 2 hours of Sheffield Supertram. I could watch them all day, could ride them all day. Sheffield is awesome
Same
very good i once route on the sheffield trams once also ten years ago
I live here in Sheffield. I love the Supertram. I want to be a Tram Driver in the future. By that time the TramTrain line to Rotherham Parkgate will be well popular. The greatest tram system in the UK I think. Metro link being 2nd best.
Purple route to Meadowhall was great every 30 minutes get a tram from manor top straight to Meadowhall or valley centertainment they should bring this service back to use the 2nd platform at Meadowhall 1 tram per hour one to Meadowhall one to Cathedral.
i love tram can you do more
This is a great video. Thanks for sharing. Where can I find maps of this Supertram system?
Google is your best bet
Who wants to get on a tram that literally goes to the arse-end of nowhere?
there was a article in the local Sheffield news paper suggesting Sheffield supertram system could be scrapped in the next 6 years would you believe it!!! any great vid thanks for sharing.
well tram or better then buses
I’ve wondered for a while Why is it called SUPER tram? Why isn’t it just a normal tram like the ones in notts or Manchester
This one can go on train tracks as well
Its just branding
@@reece5040 probably because of tramsphobia (a 20th century hate of trams)
