It took my daughter quite long to get into the whole weaning thing, we started at 6 months but she only started really enjoying eating at around 9 months, it was so frustrating but eventually she got the hang of it and now at 16 months she doesn't stop eating.

Hi there! I KNOW everyone always knows better AND I havent been a baby Mom for 12 years but I found in the beginning the wetter/runnier the food was the easier it was for mine to eat in the beginning. ❤

Great video! We’re also using huckleberry app, it’s great. Also if she’s crying or more clingy than usual there’s a fussy phase about now crying clinginess and crankiness - the 3 C’s that lasts about 1-2 weeks and it’s just them learning about distance and object permanence and that mummy/daddy can walk out of the room and leave them behind. Bless. My youngest son is the same age as Hallie. Wake windows very similar and we also sleep trained both my boys. They’re great sleepers. Glad you found something that worked for you x

I'd love to see a video on sleep and how you got to this stage of being able to put her down, walk away, and she just falls asleep 😊 my boy is now almost 9 months old and has never fallen asleep by himself and screams if I try to put him down awake 😅
If this isn’t me! I forgot how to wean a baby too it’s so true once you’re through with a stage you just forget it and move on to the next baby stage.
We use the sleep coach app works similar to the huckleberry and helped massively with sleep for our baby.

Try giving her self feeding spoons (Tomme tippee ones are great). They are shorter, flatter and foods holds onto them. Babies can also teeth on them. The one you have is a long spoon and is more for parents to feed baby. Fingers crossed 🤞

Yes! I second this. I use the nuby dipping spoons so she can do it herself and I can help her. Self feeding ones are the way forward!

I've got 4 kids and they were old different. I found taking rhe bowl away and spoon. And literally putting a bit on the highchair and seeing what they do works well . Might not work for everyone but worked well for me . Don't stress she will get it xx

Just a thought Shan, Halle might have woken up from her afternoon nap earlier because she was hungry. I found with my daughter, she drank less of her bottles once she started feeding more. I can't quite remember all the stages (as you mentioned!) 😂 but thought it was worth mentioning just in case. Anyway, you are both doing great! ❤ love the vlogs. Is your daughter on a 2 nap schedule? How long is her last wake window after the 2nd nap? How does it work for you guys?
You could try weetabix as a more softer option than porridge☺️ with banana… and you can introduce cows milk as long as it is mixed in. ❤❤

My kiddo hates purée so I've had to find all the finger foods possible to get him to eat bloody anything! 😂 he eats a lot of wafers and melon sticks right now but I'm sure it'll resolve eventually....

Don’t do this until they’re 12 months old
Totally get the weaning issues. 😂 My boy was an absolute beast when it came to both formula and food. Ate purees so easily.
We caught RSV in December about a week after we started solids with our girl. And she was quite poorly, badly dehydrated (spend half day in hospital for check up) and we had to force feed milk and calpol. And now she hates spoon feeding, so forced into BLW, but her appetite is petite! She wants to do it herself, if i get anywhere close with spoon or my hand she gets so angry! 😂😂
And it's so different with two kids. Totally see how i spend much less time sitting down with her for foods and praising, because you have to deal with toddler in the meantime too!
7-8 months with the drinking is normally when something clicks for them. Your doing so well sweet it’s hard for sure but she’ll get there 💖

I enjoy your vlogs but seeing you prop up bottles with muslins is actually terrifying 😭 it’s a serious choking hazard, it takes 5-10 minutes to feed your baby and it’s absolutely not worth the risk

Is she sitting or rolling yet she still seems quite stiff for her age …. Please stop propping up her bottles ,new mums watching this they could follow and it’s so dangerous. 😮
