@mice madrigal You cannot reduce the number of frame, you would only have part of a video. But you reduce the resolution (default 1920x1080) to something like (1280x720).
+Ballyweg When you make the original version, make sure you edited the 0 to O, PiANO! said she/he used IVipid to make it faster and when she/he types O it looks like the original version, Thanks!
I didn't use the sound I am going to upload it to my channel the I am going to download it in my iPad and get the 1950s vision of 20th century fox theme
Dude, the memories, I remember when I was so much younger and downloaded this (on my now lost and broken laptop) in excitement Imma download this now and keep it in my memories folder
@FREAKYspongy Render means it saves what you made into an movie file. If you didn't press save, it just means you didn't save the blender file, but if you let it render, you should end up with your intro (and you can always save the blender file afterwards.)
@RosalinaRacer Are you using the newest version (2.60a)? Did you remember to unzip? Try running blender as administrator. That's all the tips I know of.
If you want to be sure, you can try to change it to something like C:\ and then render to there. The file should appear after a the first frame has been appended.
@tomok4u What format did you use? (leave it at H.264) Your program should be able to use that format. Try recoding it useing my "TUTORIAL Rendering Encoding Compressing Formats"
Render looks noisy, spotlights not working and background not displaying. Do you know why. I am rendering on an M2 Mac and cannot install the old version of Blender. Should that be the problem?
Thank u for the reply i just bought the liongate presentation from u it was more easy but this one from fox im going to try it just only another q? When u render it stop by itself or i have to stop it?
@Cwby7T Yeah, I've tried that, but it just gets too confusing. If you playback the tutorial in HD on a big screen, you should be able to see the small buttons.
You can use any program. Windows Live Movie Maker is the easiest one (if it won't import, convert it using XMedia Recode to WMV first). The music file is included in the download folder.
@crazygirl6073 Strange. Try to rerender it, but this time, open the console through Help -> Toggle System Console. There you can follow the rendering progress. Wait till it reaches frame 600.
@jayt5280 I've been trying to fix it, but somehow, I just can't seem to find the error. No matter what i do, it just keeps going the wrong way round. Sorry.
@avila1761 Laptops are generally slow on rendering these things, because the CPU gets stressed and gets too hot, and then the CPU underclocks itself. The only way to speed up the rendering process is to reduce quality/resolution.
THANK YOU SO MUCH. Your tips worked to perfection and I have my finished result in my videos folder. I will recommend you to friends!!! WELL DONE!!! thanks so much
If no settings were changed, it should render as an H.264 video file. If you have a lot of jpeg files, you can put them together in a sequence with any compositing program (Adobe After Effects would be the easiest) and then speed it up.
Hello there, The set up doesnt work for version 3.5, lights are not visible, world texture doesnt show correctly, like most of the elements doesnt work.
@ThedooLG The programs needs to calculate (processing through the CPU) the "raw" materials, e.g. light-shadow results. As to exactly how that works, you would have to look it up, but it is highly CPU depended (cores and frequency). What CPU do you have, for it only to take four hours?
Lag can be caused by several things. First of all, check your file size, if it's very big (1GB) compress it using XMedia Recode. If it's not, try using VLC Media Player for playback.
thx great info..ifollwed your instructions but when it did download after like 2hrs it was in my folder as the avi file but no animation and an error mssg along with it...is that common...thx
It normally takes around 10 hours. You can look at the frame number to watch when the file is finished. (600 frames in total) The file is called 0001-0600.avi and by default located in the same folder as the .blend files.
Oh, that's a very old system. Is it a laptop? With a single core, this can take many hours. I don't have any experience with that, but I'd guess (rough estimate) it can take 2-4 days!
hallo , ich komme leider nicht klar. nach dem rendern habe ich einen animierten film, aber der sieht so aus wie in der bearbeitung und nicht so wie er sein sollte . was mach ich verkehrt ?
@jayt5280 That is a bug, that has occurred in the newer blender version. I have begun correcting it, but it'll take some time till I correct all lights. Write me again next week, by then I might have finished it or you can try using an older blender version.
@Ballyweg thanks for ur totorial! It's nice but i have a problem. When i click animation a warning "error intializing audio stream "appears and it doesn't allow me to render the video. Why do this happen? how can i solve it?
Very nice tutorial..just a question. I am running mac and i followed you're steps. But if it's finished rendering, it's just a picture...of a movie that takes 1 second...
This is great, my son loves the 20th Century Fox logos. My audio didn't quite turn out right, it cut out at the end. I guess I'll have to try again. Thanks!
Hi there, This is great and mine is rendering now. Just wondering whether you could tell me how many frames there are so I have an idea of how far through rendering I am? Should have worked it out before I started! Thanks
Note: This requires Blender 2.79b (see description for links).
I'm watching this video in South Korea :)
I Know MY IQ OVER 1 THX :)
12 years later and you still update for us. YOU DA REAL MVP
this also works in 2.77 :)
no way still updating
Anyways, ballyweg. Antoni's remake is realistic
This video is what introduced me to blender and animation when I was a kid. It’s so nostalgic to come back to.
true, even though i diddnt have a pc when i saw this
THANK YOU, VERY, VERY, VERY MUCH !! After trying thru other tutorials (and failed), I finally made it! Francisco from São Paulo, Brazil.
Do you have any tutorial on how you created the ending on this video? (From 4:37 to 4:57)
The best tutorial on UA-cam by far I will post my result as soon as it has finished rendering.
+History Channel: Fanfic I vipd have removed it
What about 20th century fox television and 20th television so I can take a closer look Ballyweg.
Just download .zip here: www.blender.org/download/
Wow, it worked! It took about 20 hours to render on my Toshiba laptop with windows 7. Thank you very much!!
Fantastic program + Tutorial ! Worked perfect the first time I used it.The 1080p setting only took 2hrs to complete. Thanks Ballyweg!
Matt Hoecker Fox Logo Just Worked! I Have Blender 2.77a, And It Just Worked!
WHERE IS THE DOWNLOAD LINK FOR 20TH CENTURY FOX 75 YEARS LOGO?! HLP ME!
Yes. There are 600 frames. It takes me around 6 hours on a very fast CPU.
Bro
and still great
CRAZY
@davedex Are you sure you remembered to unzip before beginning? Try putting it in an "open directory" like documents or downloads.
What a fabulous tutorial!! Easy to follow with concise step by step instructions.
Dude, the memories, I remember when I was so much younger and downloaded this (on my now lost and broken laptop) in excitement
Imma download this now and keep it in my memories folder
That's the world of 3D rendering...
@FREAKYspongy Render means it saves what you made into an movie file. If you didn't press save, it just means you didn't save the blender file, but if you let it render, you should end up with your intro (and you can always save the blender file afterwards.)
Great tutorial, nice and simple. Well done mate!
@wcwcool It should slowly compose the frames. There are 600 frames.
It's taking so long
i remember leaving the family shitty 2009 laptop burning for like a day and a half to render a shitty centory fox logo
@RosalinaRacer Are you using the newest version (2.60a)? Did you remember to unzip? Try running blender as administrator. That's all the tips I know of.
@antaloliver There should be a little icon with handles below the 3d view, where you can enable that.
Why my video hasnt got any lights or shadows and etc. Just the yellow text on white background? I wrote to you and send you a pic on Facebook
I have this problem too! Please help @ballyweg
Make sure you use Blender 2.79b.
@@vasilikigrant9856 Make sure you use Blender 2.79b.
Great tutorial - Fox Video intro turned out to be exactly what I wanted it to be!
thank you so much Ballyweg
took almost 1 day for this ..
on a Win8pro toshiba laptop (3rd generation core i5, 4GB RAM, 2GB)
CHEERS! ;)
@zanemaz You mean the program crashes? Did you unzip before opening it?
@GermanCoverAwards You're computer might not have enough processing power. Try rendering at a lower resolution.
@davedex Use the middle mouse button or the numpad keys.
Did you change any of the settings? This should normally not happen if you let it render completely.
Did you install it and then double click on the blender file to open it?
@crazygirl6073 Did you change the frame number settings? The file should be called 0001-0600.avi.
@lhy0118 Try changing audio codec output to MP3 (under Encoding in the Render tab)
Animate means saving. It is rendered into a .avi file.
Ballyweg! Can I Fix Matt Hoecker’s 20th Century Fox logo?
Render looks noisy, spotlights not working and background not displaying. Do you know why. I am rendering on an M2 Mac and cannot install the old version of Blender. Should that be the problem?
@eamodec A red filter? Sorry, I've never encountered that error before. If you upload it, I can take a look at it.
@freddo256 The file is called 0001-0600.avi and is located in the template folder.
@elimozzarellicheezy You can look at the frame number in the top left corner. There are 600 frames (when it say 600, it's done)
@crazygirl6073 Did you let it render all 600 frames?
Thnx man,i didn't think I would actually find a tutorial for that.
Thank u for the reply i just bought the liongate presentation from u it was more easy but this one from fox im going to try it just only another q? When u render it stop by itself or i have to stop it?
Yes. You can change the text texture.
Have you tried using VLC Media Player
@Cwby7T Yeah, I've tried that, but it just gets too confusing. If you playback the tutorial in HD on a big screen, you should be able to see the small buttons.
It turned out nicely. Curious if there is any way to interpolate the frames so I could do a 60fps version with the same time scale.
Worked like a dream, thank you so much!!
@thomesss Try converting it with XMedia Recode. if that doesn't work. Render again but leave the settings at the default I set it at.
Well I'm not sure I know what you mean. You can move letters by using the arrows.
What kind of animations?
You can use any program. Windows Live Movie Maker is the easiest one (if it won't import, convert it using XMedia Recode to WMV first). The music file is included in the download folder.
Still struggling with this, but won't give up. Could you explain what is happening in the bar above the animation . . . . frame, time, etc.
Thanks.
@bodaboda12 Use blender to make the intro. After Effects should be able to read the rendered file.
@olenadiya It's in the same folder as the .blend files. Look for 0001-0600.avi.
@crazygirl6073 Strange. Try to rerender it, but this time, open the console through Help -> Toggle System Console. There you can follow the rendering progress. Wait till it reaches frame 600.
@WHATCRACKER1 Why? Something missing in this one?
@bodaboda12 This might be a blender bug. Try an older version or wait for a newer version.
WELL DONE!!! thanks so much
@BicMacAndChips1 If you leave all the settings at default, it should save as 0001-0600.avi (video file) in the template files folder.
Not only. You can use blender to render pngs and then put them together in AE.
@ThedooLG The programs needs to calculate (processing through the CPU) the "raw" materials, e.g. light-shadow results. As to exactly how that works, you would have to look it up, but it is highly CPU depended (cores and frequency). What CPU do you have, for it only to take four hours?
Does anyone know why my render doesn't have a background image?
thankx ballyweg that helped me alot an also what about this animation that you have merged in last
Lag can be caused by several things. First of all, check your file size, if it's very big (1GB) compress it using XMedia Recode. If it's not, try using VLC Media Player for playback.
thanks BALLYWEG!!! i really like all your tutorial... thanks a lot dude.....
excuse me, can you get me the link of the page at 0:40??? please, i didnt' find it!!!!
What do you mean? How do you want to use it?
@entyce66 What error message?
Can you make the universal please with globe
It's normal for it to drop down while appending the frame. Which template did you use?
thx great info..ifollwed your instructions but when it did download after like 2hrs it was in my folder as the avi file but no animation and an error mssg along with it...is that common...thx
There are 600 frames. Which template are you using?
Hiw do you resize the text in 2.66? it doesn't seem to have have the green an red boxes you mentioned.
Is it possible to use a png image in place of the text and get the same effect?
Actually, just found it in your instructions, 600 frames. Thanks again!
@eeslopeter I've got it on my to-do list, but it turned out more difficult than I thought. I'll try to get the fix finished by the end of the month.
@jayt5280 That is a bug, that has occurred in the newer blender version. I have begun correcting it, but it'll take some time till I correct all lights. Write me again next week, by then I might have finished it or you can try using an older blender version.
hi nice video mate how dit you made that outro? (opening door and that kind of stuff)
+KronkelGaming Here's the tutorial: ballyweg.net/lionsgate.html
@Ballyweg thanks for ur totorial! It's nice but i have a problem. When i click animation a warning "error intializing audio stream "appears and it doesn't allow me to render the video. Why do this happen? how can i solve it?
Very nice tutorial..just a question. I am running mac and i followed you're steps. But if it's finished rendering, it's just a picture...of a movie that takes 1 second...
Excuse me. Would you please offer the Film Title of Universal? Thank you.
Hi, I'm using it on Mac, but the final rendering is only an animation, without lines - lights - backgrounds. What am I missing?
I'm using 2.8 version: I will try with 2.79
@cyberchiara66 Strange, try to manually go into Encoding (in the Render tab), then change the audio codec to MP3.
What logos do you like? I sound like your voice !
when i click animation my computer laggg.... then i will wait 5hrs ....to finish
theres an easy way to fast the blending..? please reply...
Ballyweg can I insert other background music while playing it?
This is great, my son loves the 20th Century Fox logos. My audio didn't quite turn out right, it cut out at the end. I guess I'll have to try again. Thanks!
@Havoc461 Make sure you have unzipped before beginning. Also try running in administrator mode.
Yes, it's a H.264 avi video format (can be played with VLC media player)
@URtvOfficial You must have changed the output format. Leave the Output format at H.264.
@RosalinaRacer Strange, try editing it and then just backspace it out (Right Click, TAB, Backspace, TAB)
I did everything by your vid but I can't seem to send it to my video ile or to my software what should I do know?
Hi there, This is great and mine is rendering now. Just wondering whether you could tell me how many frames there are so I have an idea of how far through rendering I am? Should have worked it out before I started! Thanks
The first thing in the bar is the interesting one. It shows frame number currently rendering. There are 600 frames.
