Not to worry - ever former CA resident I know, including me, who has moved to TN did it to get away from the crazy politics in CA and the list of things that goes with those crazy politics: cost of living, crime, illegal immigration, high taxes, very 2A unfriendly state (CA), traffic, way too many people, many CA residents only care about themselves and are not neighborly like folks in TN, and the list goes on.
Most people leaving CA for TN are not the people who voted for the current crop of losers ruining CA.

Same, and my story is from around 15 years ago...
I called to ask about returning something, and remember first talking with a lady. Then Lenny took the call, and it was the trippiest thing to hear the voice of the guy I had heard in the promotional and instructional videos I had watched at the time.
Afraid I can't remember exactly how the exchange went, but I know he convinced me not to return whatever it was. 😅
My wife and I met him at a gun show in OC CA and he was the coolest guy. It was before I knew who he was, I only got some caps from him, but he was super nice and welcoming. Ever since then I've been shopping at the Glock Store.

Its actually sad. California is still part of the USA, arguably the best state, most especially in terms of weather. Imagine having moving states to achieve freedom that shouldve been legal to practice in said state in the first place.

We left the Peoples Republic of California 6 years ago for Las Vegas. Love it here…never looked back…got my CCW, great gun culture here. California is caving in on itself. As long as folks keep electing Marxist, it will continue to fail. Sad too, it’s such a beautiful state.

Its exploding here in Tennessee which in turn the cost of living will increase with it. Happened in my hometown in Maryland back in the 90's and drove out all of the people born and raised there!! Now its happening here. Plus there are 4 new Californian employees here at my job! Just a matter of time till the blue cancer comes with it and completely ruins this once beautiful state!!😡

Completely agree, but if Conservative voters keep on leaving Cali, it can NEVER become Red again.
CA is doomed they had a recall election for newsom and voted him in again this was after he sent the state into chaos during the covid shenanigans of 2020-2023.

I left Califonia in 1991 mostly due to the high cost of living and traffic. This was before California politics fell off the left end of the scale. I moved to Texas and my standard of living soared! Lenny Magil made a great choice moving his great company to Tennessee. Lenny, enjoy living and doing business in a "free state!"

I've been to the Glock Store several times when it was in San Diego. It's a good place. Everyone working there was nice and professional.

Lived in Los Angeles for 5 years during the mid to late 1980's and towards the end l knew things were going to turn for the worse. I moved to Tennessee where my wife is from. Unknowingly it was the most important decision I've ever made. No state is perfect but some are a lot better than others. Honestly look at any Democrat run state and see the chaos.

Great interview. I think I have watched most of Lenny's videos over the years and have enjoyed them all. The one reason I own Glocks Now I had just the opposite happen in my family. My youngest son moved from Texas to California. Someday he will realize his mistake.

Nice interview. I met Lenny decades ago while he was still shooting VHS programs (you should check out the Rock n Roll series) and was delighted when he opened up a San Diego store near my home. He always had time to chat and I found him friendly and very knowledgeable. He fled the People's Benevolent Socialist Republic of California around the time I escaped to Nevada. Glad his Glockstore is doing well in Tennessee, but sadly the store is now a little bit of a drive. Lenny is one of the good guys.

I had a problem with his shop once…..his manager at the time did absolutely everything he could do to prevent me from talking to the owner. In the end the manager lost a customer, parts and a credit card dispute. All could have been handled with $20 bucks worth of parts. I hope he brings his A team with him. Good luck Lenny!

Commiefornia isnt gun friendly. I used to go to the San Diego store a lot as a Sheriffs Deputy and appreciated their blue program with LE discount prices. I too have since left Commiefornia the Demorat Hell hole!

A state that makes you get permission to exercise your 2nd amendment rights is not exactly a "Free state".
I really hate it when people say that. Most of the people moving out of CA are doing so because they hate Blue State politics, and are often more constitutional in POV than the douchebags who say that.

I had lived in the Empire State of NY for 50 years and I sold my house and moved to NC, couldn't afford to live in NY because of the taxes and the economy was not good, nowadays I don't have to worry about crap like I had in NY for I'm much better off then I was, but if you don't like it then you can leave, thanks for doing what you're doing Lenny 😉 and enjoy the move and you're better off an happy for your decision, thanks again 👍

I first saw a Lenny Magill catalog in 1998 and started by ordering gun-related products and nutritional supplements. He's a good and solid guy.
Best thing I’ve ever done for my family is move out of Komifornia. Born & raised in HB. Left CA 10 years ago and moved to Phoenix. I promised my wife I’d buy her a house and I promised my kids they’d stay in one school to maintain the same core group of friends. I bought her house in a bad ass neighborhood 1 year later. And kept my word to my kiddos. Promises kept. To this day my kids have same core group of friends. We’ve watched them all grow up. It’s been awesome to see. My oldest is 19yo now. Tye same kids he was in 5th grade with walk in our front door all the time. We love it.

Yup, as a Michigander TN is a very popular destination. Following Real Estate in TN and saw the change. Dirt cheap properties and money to be made. Then suddenly prices went through the roof. Went to an auction and it had Californians there outbidding everyone. There is a boom going on.
