There is an issue with maybe his lateral movement yes but the same was said about Spillane and look what he did ...Tommy is ol school hard hitting smart he definitely has the capability of being a starter so dont be surprised if Diablo or Spillane goes down you see him shine early because he's definitely not like the backups we already had at LB i can definitely see him taking someones spot in the near future...Raider till I Die!!☠️🏴☠️
Pete Werner is a good comparison with 1 exception.. Werner is quicker which enables him to get from sideline to sideline faster Im a Buckeye fan and watched both guys college careers.
If they wanted a good linebacker they could have drafted Payton Wilson in the 3rd round and still got Glaze in the 4th, oh well, maybe next year. Eichenberg is not fast enough sideline to sideline, unless he can develop speed, he will be a back up, special teams.
That’s the one pick I didn’t agree with, he’s lack of speed is going to be a weakness in the NFL, the new NFL LB is a three down LB. And like the great RIP Mr AL Davis said you can’t teach speed.
You can't teach good football player either You can tell from his tape he really understands what he's supposed to do Sure he's got some physical limitations but he's the kind of heady blue collar guy you want running the defense
@@raideralexofficial It's hard to increase your speed but you can gain time through play recognition. Also, knowing how to shed blockers and get through the line, into the backfield is something that can clearly be improved in any Defensive player without having anything to do with actually being able to run faster.
Well,,,, there's not a lot of competition for him. Deablo is good for missing 4 games a year. Mauga is way too big an slow. Burney and Butler seem like Busts. We lost Curtis Bolten. If either Masterson or Spillane go down, this guy will be getting starting reps.

After all these years, we finally drafted an actual LB. I hope he develops into another Spillaneesk player.
esque
Raw talent 🏴☠️ Welcome
Special teams player. Solid backup.
Solid pick. I think will become every down LB, worst case will be run stopper in running downs.
Reminds me of Pete Werner. Maybe someone who is an OSU fan can weigh in on that comparison.

I agree it will be hard for him to make a huge impact at LB unless he can improve his speed / coverage
He’s faster than Spillane

What about Darien Butler?
His third year after being hand picked by our Head Coach.
Is he a bust? Time to move on?
Not going to make a difference. Worst pick of the day. Average player.
Not too impressive
