Looks awesome :D It would also be great if Horizon Hobby sold the unpainted Raptor Rey body in separate parts, for example the front part, so you don´t have to buy everything if one part is broken
nice truck! i have one thats built up also. im currently running a spool in the rear and i cant keep a right rear tire on to save my life. ive used loctite, new serrated nuts and now new axle shafts. any idea why i keep losing the right rear wheel nut?
The Baja Rey will perform in a more "scale" manner, but it will be harder to drive as a result. The Lasernut is faster, easier to drive, but less "scale" overall.
It would be awesome if Horizon Hobby would buy a stronger Baja Rey 1/10: first run lost the white lilght, few runs after blew one rear tyre, the spare tyre could not be used because it was empty (it's not true that you can use it as many video say), changed into proline and they work really well. I also bought a Super Baja second hand of the first version (the one with one only spare tyre on the rear, not two like the new version) and the same happened, two tyres blew up and the new tyre did the same the first time I run them (paid almost 100$ with shipping costs). These are the first and only and last cars I bought from Horizon Hobby.
Really interesting.👌 I would like to know, is the roll cage under the bodywork a Ford Raptor licensed product,in other words is that based on a real Ford Raptor Baja Rey desert truck? I just wondered if they have copied a real truck for this
Hi, I saw on website due date is on January 2021. Does that mean after that date this beast will discontinue/no longer able to preorder, or it is just due date of shipping (for order period)?
They just are about to release this Raptor king shocks in a Spektrum smart 3S version. So I expect this Baja Rey platform to be around for a very long time. As a owner of 2Raptors this makes me happy😁. Buy popular trucks and you will have tons of hop-ups available to build up your rigs. I went with Mojave desert truggy thing on 6S and Baja Rey Trophy truck 3S for scale.
@@asagiriasagi6243 yup, you'll be getting the best so far of the Baja Rey.. You will still will need the front aluminum shock tower and SSD third members for the rear. extra pins too. Replace that servo, headlock wheels and tires from proline, HR rear shock towers etc😁 does it ever end!🤣
The V2 rear axle has larger input shaft bearings. The 3rd member upgrade isn't required immediately anymore. The front bulkhead and diff case still needs upgraded.
This would have been a superb idea if it wasnt for Losi/TLR's frustratingly awful parts availability. No it's not just covid...i have been a Losi fan for 20 odd years and they have always been like that
Check out my build too on my channel, might inspire some more ideas. Also many note that particular lower rear link set is worse than stock. All the stress is passed to the flimsy ball ends and they'll break a lot.
✌🏻😎🏴looks awesome dude 👍🏻
Thank you!
Horizon Hobby your welcome
Thank you very much for the shout out. 🙏🏼 We have built a lot of winning trucks on the Baja Rey platform.
@949 Designs - plus your customer service is top notch!

Picking one next week.
So stoked.
It would be awesome if the part specifications were listed on the website to help custom builders choose Losi parts if that is what they want to use.

That is quite strange. If anything, the left side nuts are more prone to "loosening" on vehicles!
@@horizonhobby is it possible i could trade my right nut in for a left nut seeing how the left has been fine?
I'd love to redo mine as a Ken Block Raptor.
I have doubts between this model and the Lasernut.
Which is the best option for you?
Thanks in advance

@@horizonhobby Thank you!
Nice rig mate can you please send the link for the tyres your using please
What about rear mud flaps? I just bought a Raptor Baja Rey and I noticed it has the mounting holes on the bumper. Do you know where I can find one?
Found mine on eBay from China🤣

How do you get those grey beadlock things? They look absolutely epic
They are just the stock wheels colored with a silver sharpie ;).
@@horizonhobby thanks mate! I am looking to get a baja rey but I was wondering if it would be possible to drive without the “Ford” plate on its front🙂
@@tijndejong9874 yeah, im pretty sure you can remove it from the inside
Do you have a link for the black rino wheels and tires ?
What exact light bars did you use for the front grill
He stated they were from the Super Baja Rey which is a 5th scale truck. The larger Brenthel truck.

will these tires balloon like the stock ones?
They haven't yet! The Pro-Line closed-cell inserts do a terrific job of controlling that.
Where did you got the front led lights from the grille i would love to put ones on my truck
It's a total of four light bars from the Super Baja Rey wired together: www.horizonhobby.com/product/led-light-bar-rear-super-baja-rey/LOS251064.html
What tires fit the baja rey because the offset of the hex is almost 0 and it is really hard to find rims that fit it.
Proline f11 headlock short course wheels.
How much does the thing cost after all
Why is Canada so behind receiving the Infraction? Have had mine on order for a month and the Felony is beeping delivered on the 27th of August??
Really interesting.👌

The hood line is just off. Looks squashed. I have the sbr 2.0 and that looks amazing.
I have the laser nut which i love, this truck I want also the big one 1/7 scale 😁

That "timeframe" is driven by our system that sees the next order arriving sometime in January.
@@horizonhobby I see. glad to hear. Planning to get this on mid 2021 :)

Hey more content on this??
I didn't want the front aluminum shock tower either.. until I broke mine 3months in😂 -ordered.
Keep working on those options, because that’s not even close to full option. But nice touch on the lights though.
What have you done to prevent rollovers? My Baja has crazy rollovers
Softer suspension
Horizon Hobbies, it would be really awesome if there was a new tenacity mt, and call it, the tenacity MT pro, or tenacity MT pro 2.0.
Is rhis derived from the Ten-SCTE? If so it'll be badass! That was a legit 4wd set, the first one really! The 4wd slash was kinda meh...
Nope, the Baja Rey platform was ground-up. The TENACITY series of vehicles is based on the TEN platform.
What about the front bulk head/diff case and rear third member ?? Those upgrades Seems mandatory. Great job looks nice 👍

I got an rc car from horizon but they will not help me fix it.
Hayden, have you been in direct contact with our Product Support team?
Hydro dip the body ?
Could just save time and get a better truck cuz you basically just turned it into a UDR so why not just buy the UDR
