Webdriver.ie.driver. every should be in small. One thing, don't use ie. Most of the web apps are not built having IE on mind. Either chrome or Firefox

So, i started to learn this by seeing UA-cam videos and from some website. I have some hesitation to attend interviews. Bcaz, i am non-cs student and i have no any certificates in selenium testing. So, i have big confusion.

Close() will only close the currently opened brower but quit () will close entirely
Very nice explanation. Really appreciated. I have one error which says FirefoxDriver cannot be resolved to a type. I am not getting FirefoxDriver while either from selecting it from import statements or from the initialising the webdriver though I have installed gecko driver. Any other thing i am missing in order to avoid this error?

If you have added selenium server jar, you will definitely get firfeox driver. If not that's not an issue. You can simply do everything on Google. The concepts are same for both the browsers

Hi easy to understand your class.please explain about import
Import statements are nothing but a reference for our program to refer a particular class inside a package. For example, suppose you are giving directions to a person for identification, you will give like, area.street.housenumber right? Consider everything as package and classes inside. See any import statement. For example java.lang.String in this, java is a package, lang is as package and inside those packages String is a class. That's what import statements are for.

That right but in selenium u have mentioned some different import package.would u pls explain in next video.
If had said like, there will be two import statement with same name, then you have to choose this particular one. Example Action is an interface, in selenium also, action is available and in javas swing also action is available. For selenium we need the import statements from selenium and not from swing. May be this is what I would have mentioned in the video. If this doesn't answer your question, pls be more specific by mentioning the timeline in the video. Like 4:22 will take me to the exact minute of that video.

Ur jdk version and the selenium version ur using is not compatible. Try using the latest on both

Please go to the gecko driver GitHub page. You can see the list of releases. Mostly the version number will be in driver name.

You have not imported the webdriver and Firefox driver. Hover over that error and you will get quick fixes. Import the selenium web driver

If your class doesn't have main function then u can't run as java application. If you have used test annotation then you can run as testng only. Either way, the more of running is not a problem right? You want to trigger the program and test annotation is doing it. Any reason why you want to run as java aplication

U can't do anything for the sake of interview. Just appear and have an experience. When its done, start preparing. Start with agile, then jira and manual testing. Finish these three and let me know.

1) Gecko is the name given by developers of Firefox driver. Yes the name will be different for drivers.
2) driver is just a reference name. You can give whatever u want.

There are plenty of exception may occur, if the driver is not configured properly. Please let me know the error you are facing, will try to help you. Some possible causes, you may have given wrong Location or the location given doesn't have the driver. Or your driver version and your browser version is not compatible and so on

See the very first video. Download selenium jar, go to build path, configure build path, add external jars, and then select selenium jar. If u skip the videos in between, you will definitely miss these

The selenium jar that you are using may not be correct. In the exception it will give the name of the class it's looking for. U have to add the jar which has that class
