I love him! He is great and he is humble. He has to be one of the best legends to return and actually do more in the ring. The guys in AEW are doing a great job keeping him safe.
When my late first wife & I became sweethearts, I was 16 and a huge wrestling fan. She decided if she was going to have to watch it, she needed a wrestler to cheer for. That was Sting! I'm 52 now, so just an idea how long the Stinger has been entertaining his fans. Great talent & super nice guy!
For those who understand the business, he shouldn’t be up there. Top 4? No. He simply was not that huge of a draw. He didn’t pack arenas, sell merchandise, and get huge ppv buy rates like Hogan, Stone Cold, Ric Flair, The Rock, or John Cena. He did not sell out arenas and house shows like Bruno Sammartino did. Bruno has the record for most sellouts of MSG at 197.
@@brianezell5790 and neither was Flair, but most people, including pro wrestlers, put him up there. Look, favorites are subjective. Sting my all-time favorite guy. He's on MY Mount Rushmore. I'm not conceited or arrogant enough to claim my list is the definitive list of all-time greats, just mine.
He's the 1st person on my Mt Rushmore. Absolute legend of wrestling and I love what AEW are letting him do, even Darby said at Comic Con it's all Sting, he needs no encouragement.
sting has good genetics and a fantastic mind no one has looked as good as him at his age. he still looks as good as ever man insane. and this guy is so intelligent and charismatic. one of the goats
Man, I loved watching him on WCW; made my night seeing him appear and do his mysterious thing. Humble dude, awesome person and I'm so glad he is continuing to do what he loves and appreciates his fans so much.
I am so glad to see Sting doing well and staying healthy. His old partner The Ultimate Warrior (James Hellwig) is no longer with us. To think they were together in 1985-86 and I watched them live on T.V. is crazy! Been a long time and I am happy to see this legend (Sting) still doing it up!
Very surprised Wcw man himself had the rock and stone cold in his mt rushmore list. Direct competitors to himself. Albeit they exploded a couple years after the monday night wars. Sting has always seemd like a class act
Seeing the list of wrestling superstars he inspired to become wrestlers, I would definitely place him in the top 3. Sting is a very humble man but also knows his worth.
Fandoms are weird. Sting has been my favorite since I was a teenager. If I told him that, it would be just another person saying it. But seriousy, every Monday for my entire life, wrestling. And he was the one I wanted to see the most. It's hard for a celebrity to grasp the concept of what they have meant to your life. I may also never meet him, but he hears it from others daily, so you know yours wouldnt be completely understood or impactful. Weird stuff.
Mount Rushmore has 4 presidents chosen for very specific reasons Washington: Founded the country Jefferson: Grew the country Lincoln: Saved the country Roosevelt: Developed the country So I might say Andre: Founded what we thing of as "The modern WWF" Hulk: Definetly grew pro wrestling Stone Cold: Saved wrestling as the popularity of pro wrestling waned in the mid 90's Brock Lesnar: Developed the legitimacy of pro wrestling by being being a crossover champion in MMA and WWF.
I like your thinking but that's definitely a WWE-specific list. And, ironically, pro wrestlers had a hand in the formation of modern MMA through founding early MMA company Pancrase.
Sting is crazy, That was a wild dive at the start of that match
IT'S STIIIIIIING!
WHAT A LEGEND!
Sting is dope, it's amazing how a 60 year old guy is relevant, fun and still so good. AEW is using him really well, and he is doing a great job
And his voice hasn’t aged since the 80’s.

My mt rushmore. Surfer sting. Crow sting. Wolfpac sting... and joker sting.
I would argue his resurgence is an all time comeback in wrestling history...
Sting is Mount Rushmore for sure
Sting is such a class act. Loved this guy 35 years ago and still do!

If there is a wrestler that young wrestlers coming up should look up to…this is the man!
hes been wrestling before i was born ,87 ..my entire existence, and still doing high spots and shit.. thats wild to think about

Sting is the ultimate legend
What a legend in sports! And Stinger too.
Hulk Hogan, Macho man, The Ultimate Warrior and Sting(WCW).
Sting (the Icon) should be on every true wrestling fan's "Mount Rushmore"
Sadly, he doesn't get nearly the amount of love that he deserves.
I love the song Roxanne the guy is truly talented

I figured he'd pick Hogan and Flair because he wrestled them so much, but I didn't really expect him to pick Rock and Austin.
Love ya Sting, my Icon, thank you for being with me since I was 5 (I'm 39 & you've always been my #1)

Sting is a goat as well man
Rushmore on point Sting! Schmo south side of Chicago, you da pro
Stings in my mt. Rushmore. Im sure hes in alot of peoples. I started off with sting being my fav wrestler before the stone cold/rock era
Holy sht! Did not expect this! Fn awesome!
My mother let me stay up late n watch WCW when I was 6, just because she had a crush on sting haha.
I was a fan of sting as a kid when he had a flat top and wore brighter face paint
Sting chose Hulk Hogan, Ric Flair, The Rock and Stone Cold. Sting is the damn Mount Rushmore he is still killing it now at 60plus. Sting is the best.
Sting had his best days in TNA but it’s cool to see him doing AEW
Pro. Legend. Icon. STING!
Sting, Chris Jericho, Bret Hart, Steve Austin
looks great for a 63 year old period amazing for a pro wrestler.
We need a Miz and Schmo interview!
GOAT

Mount Rushmore has 4 presidents chosen for very specific reasons
Washington: Founded the country
Jefferson: Grew the country
Lincoln: Saved the country
Roosevelt: Developed the country
So I might say
Andre: Founded what we thing of as "The modern WWF"
Hulk: Definetly grew pro wrestling
Stone Cold: Saved wrestling as the popularity of pro wrestling waned in the mid 90's
Brock Lesnar: Developed the legitimacy of pro wrestling by being being a crossover champion in MMA and WWF.

Andre, Hulk, Nature Boy, Macho
