Ecuagenera is coming to do a show near me in July and I ordered an Anthruirum Warocqueanum! So excited. It won't be my first import (I have my first one coming tomorrow from Aleya! I'm so nervous ~~ ) but will be my first anthurium so.. hopefully I don't kill her.

Great! Vid Alice! Love your plants💚🪴
Thank you Lynda ❤️❤️
And now, because of you and @unplantparenthood I need that mustache orchid! I don't have orchids, I don't like to care for them.
I've been having a problem with my Gloriosum lately, with mold spots on the leaves. I thought it might be because the foliage fertelizer, had it on other velvety ones in my Milsbo as well. Fans run as usual. But I've noticed the humidity in my cabinet has gone up to 100% as it gets warmer. So maybe it's because of that. I have the guess that the EFN on the leaf tens to mold, in such high humidity. Every now and then I wipe it of, with some alkohol water mix.
I also had the Same thing happening to my verru, where the cataphyll rotten and the new growth rotted in the bin. So I think they tend to get mushy and then the new groth unterneath rots, If you dont remove it in stagnent 100% humidity.
I actually got a gloriousum from ecuagenera around the same time you got yours maybe a bit later? End of April. Anyways I think they gave me the dark form one so maybe it is luck of the draw!
Must be all the good angel karma you’ve got saved up 😆
Orchis need a specific fungi (dont know if it is that mico) so the seeds can germinate . Thats why they go in to TC where the seeds sits in a media where it can germinate, and of course it is 100% steril in there.
Would be interesting if it is possible with Micro. Maybe I'll do some research and try it at home. Would be a fun project.
I have had orchids for many years (first plant addiction) but have never got around to growing them from seed, because you have to work sterile when using the flask method.
Hi perfection selections. Btw Anthurium Peltigerum gets huge as well like every aroid. There is a vlogger who show a wild community growing on a road and he was saving it from widening the road construction.
The one that Jing hauled was actually A. timplowmanii!
so want a couple gloriosum and the sp columbia. . bliss if i could locate some that have been acclimated.

Hi! I am in Ontario Canada. There is a delivery and Popup happening within the next 2 months. I had a few questions. One: are the prices different if you buy online and pickup at a delivery location? Versus at a pop up?, and what are the pros and cons for one vs the other?
The price I believe *should* be the same, however if you preorder you’re eligible for discounts if you’re buying higher quantities. The discount tiers should be listed on the price list.
Pro of preordering is definitely to secure any plants you definitely want, but pro of buying on location is the ability to pick the specimen you want! Sometimes certain plants come in really poorly and if you preordered you’re stuck with it.
However with preorders you can sometimes take advantage of certain sales (father’s day sale for example)!
Hi there, I got the A. exstipulatum as well, though mine did not survive the shipping process (cold damage + rot +mold). It looks like a climber and I'm unused to seing that in Anthuriums. Curious to see how it will grow for you :)
I’m curious too! I think it’ll be a while for mine, it definitely took a dive after shipping 🥲
Do you grow all your plats in semi hydro or pasive or do you at least give them a little water reservoir?? I am thinking about getting into growing and antheriums and other aroids and I was wondering if semi hydro was a better way to grow them. 💙
I’ve been moving anthuriums into semi hydro this year (in pon) and I’ve definitely been enjoying the results! But if you’re new to it, I would start off with plants that might not be as sentimental to you ❤️
If I see any level of rot on my orchid roots I cut off as best as I can and then spray with hydrogen peroxide
Noted for next time!! I’ll treat them like my aroids
Importing hoyas from Russia Indonesia and Thailand. Aroids from Indonesia.
