Thank you for making this! I built a left handed 10.5 in AR47 from BCA about 2 years ago for a friend and he has loved it and never had any problems out of it. So I ordered me one of the same gun and over the weekend I shot it 4 times with mixed ammo just to see if it would function alright, it did great. Sunday after church I decided to take it out and nothing, eject and look at the bullet to see my light primer strike and no mark at all. I tore the gun down and right off the bat without even tearing down the BCG I noticed the tip of the firing pin was broken. I ordered another from the company you mentioned before even watching this video. It was the first company that came up on google search when I typed in, enhanced firing pin. I’m guessing they sale a lot. I’m still going to call BCA and tell them. Never hurt to have more than one firing pin I guess. Thanks for making the video take care and stay safe
Undo force. Lol. I own a BCA side charging 5.56 and it also had one of those phosphate coated enhanced pins. Within the first 40 rounds I found it to be bent. Swapped it out for s shiny new CMMG pin from my spare parts box. Hundreds of rounds later and no issues.
Same issue. Got a replacement firing pin from BCA and it broke during a few dry fire function tests with snap caps. Really disappointed in BCA's quality control.
Suppressors will overgas guns which puts a lot more wear and tear on internals. The suppressor will cause more pressure in the barrel which interfaces with the bolt face and firing pin, as well as more pressure down the gas tube and direct impingement system. You can tell your rifle is overgassed because the spent brass isn't ejecting towards your left and back, you even got one in your truck which is probably slightly forward left of you. You should get an adjustable gas block as well as a heavier buffer when you add a suppressor to your rifle. You can also just get beefier components like you did with the firing pin, but it will wear faster without the above mentioned upgrades. Otherwise basic stock internal components will be expected to break under the excess stress.
Just tried firing mine for the first time (243 rear charging handle) and had a broken pin before I even got to fire it. I just ordered an aftermarket one hoping it will work.
Just had this happen with my 7.62x39 upper and just ordered a windham weaponry enhanced firing pin even tho bca is sending me a replacement bca really should go with a secondary supplier for there firing pins
Made it through about 50 rounds with BCA upper tip broke on firing pin had shot only Belom and Hornady so I was surprised ordered 2 from black rifle enhanced plus pin not sure what means? Anymore issues since 60 rounds? Steel case in this video? Thanks

Crazy I broke one in dry fires as well
Had the same problems. I had never seen a black firing pin. I bought new ones from spikes tactical. They’re awesome
Are you checking the ejection pattern of your shells? Over gassed system is hard on the internals. Have you thought about an adjustable gas block?

Bought a bca 6.5 creedmoor upper now im just gutting it a replacing what needs be
Hmmm, I have about 100 rounds through my newest BCA upper so far and no problems .
This problem only occurs with the 7.62 x 39 enhanced pin. Is this the caliber that you purchased?
@@57dewey No , I have the 6.5 Grendel .
@@jamespollard1670 I should have specified this is a 7.65 x 39 issue since Russian ammo have hard primers

Mine broke around 150 rds
I think I quit screwing around with them and replace it with the top quality firing pin. There's 762 by 39 firing pins are junk

Steel case in this video?
Thanks
Yes, all I was shooting with steel case ammo. I still have not had any trouble with my black rifle firing pen. Probably got 400 rounds over it so far.
@@57dewey good deal there is also an enhanced plus but I am not using that one.
Thanks
Check the dimension of your firing pin hole in the bolt. The solution is a new bolt.
I put the black rifle firing pin in and have fired over 1200 rounds with no issues. I’m pretty sure they are buying crappy firing pins.
Are these AR15 or AR10? Are the pins universal?
This is a AR 15 frame, I can’t help you with whether they’re interchangeable or not.
Yep
