- In this series of videos I look at the old Southwold Railway and what evidence of it is left.
In this final video I walk the old line from Walberswick to Southwold Station and the Harbour Branch.

Excellent series of films.
Thank you, glad you enjoyed them.
Just watched your 4 video's on the Southwold Line. Thank you, very interesting. great bit of history.
Thank you for your kind comment, I’m glad you enjoyed it.
I’ve just watched all 4 videos, a great bit of history especially the part of Kessingland for where I now live, I am going to Southwold Station today
Thanks for your comments, I’m glad you enjoyed the videos.
Nice series of videos, would have liked to have seen that little line running back in the day.
Thanks, yes it would have been a classic example of England in more relaxed times.
A very interesting video 👍
Thank you.
Thank you for further interesting videos. Had the M&GN forgotten the correct distance between the rails when building this branch? How did the locos get to Melton Constable for maintenance? I did find this very interesting as, although I have never been to southwold myself, a friend and his family have holidayed there almost every year for perhaps 50 years. Learning a lot about this little railway, and it’s town, thanks to your videos.
Thanks for your comments. The Southwold Railway was a completely independent railway built on the cheap. Had another company taken it over it might have survived longer than 1929.
