Thankyou that is the simplest and best ICM video I have watched. I have been experimenting with it and this helps a lot, thanks again. And what a stunning beach, wow.
Great session Will. We have a lot of bad weather on the coast here! So this is really useful. Although your bad weather scene was very stunning, loved the sea mist and light.. thank you for sharing.
Photographing a rugby game today (on the Rugby Europe channel), and after watching this decided, I'll sneak in a few of these as well. Not sure the players will be happy...but perhaps they will!
@@WilliamPatinoPhotography I chickened out!!! It was a crazy game right until the end (upset win) and I got lucky and was near both the winning score and then a really nice final defense and a great celebration. I was scared to touch any of the settings on my cameras!!! Oh well, I will wait for blow-out like game and play.
Amazing how we forget this type of photography when out doing a sunrise and there is a bland sky, thanks for reminding me William, really enjoy your simple explanation in the videos 👏👏
Great video, thanks for the tips. We're heading over in June next year, Milford and the West Coast on on our list of places to visit. Is the beach you are at on the West Coast? Keep the videos coming.
Great video. I often forget to try this technique. Perfect for days when the morning light isn't in favour or you can't find a landscape to shoot. Thanks for sharing!
Great tips about bad weather photography. I always used to think the sky had to be blue for a pretty photo, but I took some nice photos of Lake Tekapo with cloud in the sky. Although it helps that Lake Tekapo's turquoise colour is due to silt rather than blue sky reflection.
Thanks for sharing your knowledge and experience capturing ICM images, Your tutorial style is so clear and to the points, simple and effective. I'll get out and have ago ASAP. Cheers from "The Shire" Sydney
Legend. Thanks a lot mate! You have the perfect back drop there for this type of stuff, especially with the lack of sea stack subject matter around the shire.
For anyone interested in Will's Seascape Photography course. I can absolutely recommend it as an excellent quality course full of ideas and taught in Wills usual intuitive inspirational style. Will... thank you for another great video shot on a beautiful day in NZ, nice one!
Very helpful thank you. One request though, could you include more examples of the photos you are taking so that we can see some results of the techniques as we go.
Any setup will work here because we're not concerned about getting a 'sharp' image :) As long as you have manual mode you are good to go. No tripod needed either.
Excellent video Will. Very instructive. Thank you!😎😍👏👏
Very welcome mate
Thank you for this! Helpful!
Cheers Mel!!
You really live in a very beautiful place. Great video too.
Thank you 🙏🏻
The production quality of your videos keeps getting better and better
Will be better once we get you in a few of these

My pleasure, thank you Lisa!
Thanks for that Will - next time it’s my day off and the weather is sucky I know how I can still play . . .
Great clear instructions and something I need to try again
Thanks. Hope you can soon :)
Nice and concise with lots of info. Thanks!
Thank you :)
Really liking your handheld flow , been doing some icm myself as well
Awesome, thanks Christine!
My visit to the beach will be different next time. Thanks.
Awesome thanks Barry!

Great video. Some of my favourite photos have been from what you taught me using these techniques.
Love some of your wave ones. From this location too! :)

Thanks mate. Yeah, a lesser known secret one that hasn’t been bombarded by tourism yet 🤪♥️
The Sea stack 5:45 looks so great, i am amazed. your video included !
Thanks a lot! Yes, it's a great location. I'm yet to capture any portfolio images from here but hopefully someday. There's certainly potential.
Great video. I often forget to try this technique. Perfect for days when the morning light isn't in favour or you can't find a landscape to shoot. Thanks for sharing!
Exactly. Or you can get your original image and then an ICM as a bonus. Cheers!
Awesome!
Definitely makes me want to try out some ICM great video!
Thanks mate!

I generally avoid clear blue skies as much as possible :)

will do for the future! cheers for the feedback
Which IS mode are you using? All purpose or panning?
Doesn’t really matter because we’re not trying to get a sharp image. I just leave it on standard.
Are you using a stabilized lens and camera or will any camera work?
Any setup will work here because we're not concerned about getting a 'sharp' image :) As long as you have manual mode you are good to go. No tripod needed either.
When your panning did you shoot single shot or continues Hi+ in Sony A7r3.
Usually single but you could for sure use continuous. I just don’t like going home with that many files haha.
Love your videos, but you need to smile a just little more. The down-turned mouth makes you look worried rather than keen.
