I read the manga in middle school and quickly grew to love Grell, she was what got me to learn about my own identity and question if my body issues were what I thought they were, she's also how I found out what it meant to be trans, I'm not saying it's the only reason I'm trans obviously but it's a piece of it, it makes me so happy to see everyone referring to her as a woman now especially since back then no one really did that, jokes on all the fanfic writers who unintentionally made a lesbian reader insert lmao
