There are no more storied, classic ,winning, beautiful cars on the planet than the Superformance lineup. As a kid growing up in the 60’s these along with the Stingray occupied my boyhood dreams . If I ever win the lottery, I would make a beeline there and buy all 4 iterations.
I've been a Shelby Cobra, Daytona and GT40 fan forever and became a Superformance fan early on. I was lucky enough to test drive a Superformance 427 Cobra many years ago in Stockton CA, and was thrilled when I heard they entered the Daytona and GT40 replica markets but never knew about the Corvette Grand Sport until now. Instead of building a Superformance Cobra I ended up building a Van's RV-8 aircraft (oddly enough, my quickbuild fuselage was delivered in a Factory Five Cobra semi trailer!). When I eventually sell that airplane (and my current Mustang GT convertible) I'll be back in the market for a Superformance car, and I might just be giving Downforce Motorsports a call. I love everything I'm seeing here!
Wow! What an amazing assortment! You are not just a car dealer - you are a dealer of dreams! I'm sort of glad I am not in a position to buy one of those because I'd never be able to decide which one to choose!!!! Question: What do you mean by the phrase "Pro Touring"? Thanks for posting. What a great business you've developed. Hope to see you at a show soon.
I believe Superformance was blessed by Mr. Shelby himself, that’s good enough for me!!! Unlike other kit car manufacturer that disrespected him. I would not buy that dishonorable one for sure and wouldn’t drive one if it was given to me.
Nice advertisement. And I absolutely hate ads. It makes me wish I had some money to blow, I'd definitely come see you guys as I loved what I saw in your showroom. I'm an impatient man, so I'd probably have to take one of those instead of the waiting for delivery. Ha!
No Gt40 is a kit car. Even when you build a replica, there is not much you would buy that fits as you need or want. I have not seen two cars the same. This one with its huge wheels actually looks more like a kit car than any other I've seen.
Why is it that everybody wants to completely ruin the way a car looks because they insist on putting stupid looking clown shoes on it? 20 inch rims and 2 inches of tire. Looks stupid as f.
Your service is not really complete, there is no prices - like come to our showroom and talk, no I am in europe. Na keep in my mind for 60 K one gets a used ferrari a good one with 400+HP so dont charge me that for a replica chassis than you are not doing what You love thats just pretending it to charge
Amazing if you want to pay over $150k for a kit car. It’s a kit car that someone else is building. It’s still a kit car. Go to RSR build your own for half the price.
*technically* not a kit car, as it's a licensed, built, and registered as a Ford GT40 from the 60s with a continuation VIN# as if they were still built from that era. BUT, I get where you're coming from. Old car being built again decades later.
a Superformance is not a bad copy but it's still a tribute car, not a Shelby, and will never be worth much. You can get a nice Superformance Cobra for less than $50k. It's basically a kit car.
Not a kit car. Do better research before you post. Unless there is a problem with the car...I have never seen a Mark III Superformance for $50 K. The going price is between $70,000 and $120,000..
It's still not a real GT40. I don't care if you got legal rights to the name that doesn't make it an original And I've seen some of them with five lug hubs and a pin drive adapter, which is essentially a fake knock off. It's a close copy of an original in other words it's a replica. The only reason you can't call it a kit car is cuz they don't sell it that way, you have to pay for them to build it, so you are providing less options for your customer who wants to build.
This guy is living and working the dream. Top of the game, great job. I would buy from you

very cool and interesting the vins continue from the first batch of cars. nice touch - excellent vehicles and craftsmanship.
One was on Barrett Jackson sold for $250k I think
I’m in love. Going to buy one. Yep. You heard it here. Like to go to their showroom one day, dig the passion.

As a Porsche GT3 guy ( I’ve had 3 tracked them all) this is the one car I want to build
Probably because the Gulf Racing connection between Ford and Porshe.
Great work on this one guys! As per usual!
Thank you!

I think it’s a touring car that can be raced in vintage races
The GT40 is the sexiest car ever built. Nothing compares.
Did u made all this gt40s?

Fantastic video.
Amazing cars.....I think the old V8s sound better than any modern V8...Love when they really Lug from low revs.

Might not be a kit car but it sure ain't a Holman continuation or a Kenny Tompson
8:14 - yes please.
No it isn’t it’s a work of art and it’s beautiful ,beautiful ,beautiful and by god I wish I had one.x
Great!
Needs roll down windows. But they are great cars.
Excellent pitch '
I wonder if they can custom make it with more leg room for someone 6’6
Im the same height and with 1" adjustment on the pedals and thinner race seat / gurney bubble I was very comfortable
Dan Gurney was 6ft4 and he just about fit with a crash hat on with the bubble. Story goes the Mk2 was set up for Ken Miles who was 6ft3.
nice
How much is a touring gt40
3:03 He looks to be far too cramped, that shifter is way too high.
I wonder what it sounds like.
👍👍👍👍

I knew this w a DIY kit car by the music at the start. Real car videos don't need influencer music.
They're not DIY cars, but I do agree about the music.
The oversized clown shoe rims and rubber band tires absolutely ruin that car.
They might cut off someone else's arm first to see how it goes.
Also Not a Ford !! lol
I like my ERA better

I don't get it either, looks ridiculous
What happens to the human head and spine in a wreck with no head rest! Lol smh

I like your thinking.
You don’t know what the hell you’re talking about. They own the licensing rights from Ford. Do your research bubs.
You and me both, we’ll take one of each too!
@@SethLong10 ford didn't own the gt40 name, a uk company called safir ltd did. Superformance paid to use the name by buying the rights

Someday I will have a SF GT40 replica.
What 2/3 million dollars worth of cars in a renovated shop that probably didn't cost 120k
