From the look of it, it looks like it keeps going towards New Orleans. Hope it pushes off to the North soon. Hope we will not have to go without power for too long. The Tornado threat has me scared too.
Don’t worry I’m riding it out with ya.. the tornados is only thing that’s got me worried as well. But it’s not gonna be too strong by time it reaches us. This a tiny storm
@@CNSTAdventures Thanks for reply. I been in New Orleans for about 5 years, and I think this is the 4th or 5th storm that we have had. By far, the worst was Ida. I recall there was a Cat 2-3 hurricane that came through around maybe 4 and a half years ago, not long after I moved here, and it moved through very fast, and there was not a lot of damage. Luckily the power was not out for very long. I think about 1 day, without power.
@@gregh1853 That hurricane just kept pushing to the East. I can't believe that Houston got hit by it. I did not think it would go that far east. That is really horrible when such a large metro area gets hit by a hurricane. I seriously thought about getting a bus yesterday to Houston, but decided not to.
On the north shore thers are 1000s of pines that died during the drought last yr - My guess is after this storm passes by all those dead pines will fall on the roads and power. Lines - its a weak storm but all those dead pines dont bend when the wind hits them - It hasnt been quite long enough for them to rot but there stiff and will easely snap even with mild winds - for us in rural areas it will be interesting -

I'm in houston area......good luck....we had 6 days with no power......it sucked....I rented a room in college Station for 6 days.....

Once the cell towers quit working and the power goes out it'll quiet down.

Vermillon Bay is south of New Iberia. Terrebonne Bay is south of Houma.
