This debate has been ended by the creators long ago. If Aang and Korra fought, 9/10 Aang would troll the fight and successfully escape. But that 1/10 involves Korra capitalising on a mistake and punishing Aang. Korra is physically stronger and skilled. Aang is more experienced and versatile. A fight between them would be similar to Aang vs Ozai. A fight Aang almost won in base. Aang would get a lot of hits in and Korra can take hits but if she lands one, he's toast. It's 50/50, not a stomp.

People be saying "we have only seen aang as kid we dk how strong adult aang is" like we have seen adult korra. Both aang and korra mastered avatar state when they werent even in their prime okus just likwe havent seen aang in his prime we also havent seen korra in her prime. We havent seen adult korra at all. However we know little about adult aang in the book one of korra.
Korra trained with an older Katara as stated in Book 1 and shown in the comics “Patterns in Time” that it was combat. In said Comic it’s stated she mastered earth bending and water bending by the time she was around Aang’s age. In episode 1 she’s stated to have mastered all 3 elements. Though I believe Aang is the superior fire bender. Korra is the better water bender in terms of feats and versatility. Earth bending is debatable but I got Korra considering that Toph believed Aang still needed training with earth bending just days before Sozin’s comet while Korra outright has the narrative of master in book 1.
Allow me to cook real quick: Korra will always be stronger. The creators themselves said that every avatar after will be stronger, why? Not because the avatars add their power to ravva everytime they die, but because ravva grows in power. Remember in the game when Korra said “my power has been growing since before time began”. Guess what. Avatars didn’t exist but ravva did. Ravva becomes stronger from the good the last avatar did. She grows from light and piece. And since aang did a great job as the avatar he boosted ravvas power for Korra. Ravva is the ever growing power, the avatars lend their bending skills when in the avatar state not their bending POWER. And when ravva was killed notice how when she was ripped from Korra she was about the size of a human? And notice how when she was reborn she was the same size as Vattu? Korra fused with a bigger, more powerful version of ravva. The avatars past skills didn’t even matter. Ravva was still little with them even if their power was all combined before Korra lost the lives. So this literally proves that korra has the most powerful avatar state to exist, by A LOT. it took 10,000 years for ravva to grow as big as a human from a tea pot size. But Korra is fused with a fully powered up Ravva.
I'm curious about this as well- it's never implied that Raava lost any power over the years, in fact each avatar has only gotten stronger.The Raava within Aang and the newly reborn Raava within Korra would more then likely be equal. Which is also partly why I give him the win in avatar state since their strengh would be equal but he has the skill of past avatars while she only has her own.
Pretty much the Raava that was within most of the Avatars was a very small Raava and is extremely weak. Whilst when Raava was reborn, she was significantly larger.

@joshuafrazier3904 The problem with those two things is that Korra was forced into the Avatar state by a poison that took very long to kill her and the BS air technique has been shown not to be instant and needs the opponent to be still.

I've been thinking, the feat korra displayed at the end of her series is the most powerful feat any avatar has done, Korra tanked kuvira spirit beam which was amped by all the spirit vines around and Korra deflected it and blasted a hole through two universes, this feat is crazy cus raava and vaatu where created the same way, raava and vaatu birth was what created the spirit world and every spirit in existence and even the mother of faces who created the physical universe and split the spirit and physical universe apart, this feat she dud is at least universal and raava and vaatu individually scale above her and cosmic aang/cosmic korra would scale above both raava and vaatu combined which would also make them scale above the mother of faces who has universal lvl feats, and Korra duplicated what raava and vaatu did by blasting a hole through two dimensions/universe, that would possibly scale her ti to universal considering raava, vaatu and the mother of faces did the same thing when they were created. Even avatar kuruk, during his battle with father glow worm also did the same thing, when he and glow worm energy clash, it ripped a hole through reality and through two universes but because of this, glow worm's energy greatly reduced as well as kuruk life force too, and if aang were to do the same thing, his life span would also be reduced, but korra on the other hand perform this feat casually and walked out with kuvira like nothing ever happened, this is because Korra us more stronger than any of her previous lives and most people would doubt this claims because the attack didn't look big but you guys are forgetting that there is more AP in avatar than DC, even in dragon ball during the tournament of power, Vegeta used hus full power to defeat one of jiren team mate but his attack didn't even look like it could destroy a planet and even when goku fought kelfa in his ultra instict, their attack didn't look like it could destroy a universe or a planet, through out the tournament of power, goku and his team went all out using their full power but it didn't destroy the rim they were fighting on and even when ulta instict goku was shaking an infinite realm, it didn't even destroy the rim they were fighting on, that a good example of AP and the same goes for avatar. So what Korra did there was no joke and only ignorant people would not care to understand that fact, and i hope a power scaling UA-camr would go into that detail cus i think the avatar verse is been down played too much. But just to keep some critic down i would just scale her in her avatar state to planetary and above and aang in his avatar state to planetary. But their cosmic form is outerversal.
Good video, but I do disagree with the base to base argument. Korra is consistently shown in the series to be much more gifted than Aang when it comes to bending. She could very easily grasp metal bending because of her skill, she learned spirit purification after just watching once and got it perfectly on her 3rd try, she mastered airbending in approximately 6 months (as stated by Tenzin), and her fire bending power is far beyond Aang’s. Not to mention Korra is also just blatantly physically stronger than Aang as well. Aang may have more versatility with earth and air, but it is shown consistently in the series that he struggles against people with aggressive and powerful styles like Azula and Ozai. I also think it’s a wild take to assert that Toph is saying Aang is above a prime Korra because she “see’s everything”. The context clearly is her talking about her training with her and how she’s a total flop because of her ptsd and poison. I mean, we have literally seen Korra break out of the most powerful blood bender’s grasp and then proceed to overpower him before she met Toph which is something Aang has never done even while in prime without the AS.
Aang has never fought Azula in a definite 1v1 though? Everytime they fight, he has another objective occupying his mind; be it escaping to get some sleep, defending Katara or destroying the drill. He hasn't actually fought her in a direct fight

Korra’s losses are normally her being nerfed or fighting a completely new fighting style that didn’t exist to her previously. Aang is literally trying to overpower Azula and being unable to do so. She overpowered his crystal armor, could escape the entire Team Avatar at the same time, and could easily outmaneuver Aang while he was expressly trying to catch her without her bending. The show is pretty consistently pushing this narrative.
You can’t call aang fans fanboys because they say the obvious korra would not have the experience and skill in the avatar state like aang. I’m pretty sure it does matter for korra cause they reckoned it in LOK. But that doesn’t mean aang wouldn’t have all there skills and experience. Being in the avatar state doesn’t make you more tanky. It’s just a power boost in korra now. And because of the reckon in korra you can say her avatar state is more power but aang has the better one cause he still get massively power but he also get the ability and experience of past avatars to use in the fight. korra has to hit the best air bender to ever live when he also has the combined ability of over hundred avatar. her big attacks won’t really mean anything. Aang can block or dodge them. I love korra too before I found out the change to the avatar state I believed korra slams but after re watching avatar TLAB nah no way she wins unless it’s middle or beginning of the show aang.
Aangs wins in the avatar state as well. His avatar state is more powerful. Korras Raava is stronger. It’s stated that you get the power, skill, and knowledge of the previous avatars. So while Korra is getting the power of a stronger Raava. Aang is getting the power of a weaker Raava and the added power of each individual avatar, added into one that’s existed in the past 10k years. Raava gives power but only her own. the avatars themselves add onto that power. Thats why they channel their power through Raava to the current avatar. It’s also why each avatar becomes stronger than the last cause they gain the additional power of the one that came before. The thing is since Korra lost her connections she doesn’t get their power. Prime Vaatu who’s equal to prime Raava lost to wan. So if just 1 avatar can bridge the gap between a weaker Raava and a prime Vaatu. Then an avatar with the power, knowledge, and experiences of however many avatars existed in that 10 thousand year time span far exceeds a prime Raavas power. Korra doesn’t scale above other avatars feats since she lost her connections. The connections of the previous avatars give power. Since her avatar state is weaker without the connections, she doesn’t scale above the feats cause she doesn’t get their power in the 1st place.
It highly depends where in their series. Their training is fairly equal, Korra has a lot more power in her bending and both are similarly skilled. In almost any moment in the series Aang has no controll over the avatar state. Korra does throughout most of the story. Korra can do a lot Aang can't and vice versa. It's not a good comparison no matter how you take it. We never see them at a similar age and their stories and lives go completely different. but there are some ways Korra beats Aang with no discussion. -Accomplishments, Aang achieved a lot, but he didn't save the universe. -Physical ability. Aang is quick but I'm pretty sure he can't lift a man -A good relationship with their family. Korra has supportive parents, Aang has no parents and limited to Katara, Tenzin and those 2 non-airbender kids who were always in his house.

I only respectfully disagree with the vatu argument because kyoshi in her avatar state has done far better feats then roku in their avatar states. As we see the strength of kyoshi compared to roku. Roku couldn’t stop a large boulder and was struggling against a volcano meanwhile kyoshi just casually created her own island by earth bending alone. Roku also couldn’t lava bend even tho his past life can magma bend. So I don’t actually think they’re strength passes but rather the avatars are there to pass the knowledge whenever they are channeled with each other.But other than that I agree with everything and I think this vid was great👍

When was it confirmed that katara only taught Korra healing, it doesn't add up since we saw katara attend, and judge her bending tryouts, if katara has a say in Korra's fire bending, how does it make sense not to partake in her water bend training Katara most likely taught Korra a more experienced version of katara for a longer period of time making Korra logically superior, but it doesn't end there based on screen evidence and feats Korra is superior and is a master of all water bending forms aside of blood bending Aang is severely lacking in that regard since he never showed proficiency in high level moves such as freezing, and waterspouts, the later he can only accomplish in the AS But that's besides the point the reason Korra wins is because of her unrivaled versatility she can bend multiple elements at the same time fly while bending rocks, use waterspouts while bending flames and creating a tornado all in the process all without the avatar state aang and other avatars primarily bend only one element at a time that is without the AS
Korra wins in base. She has better water bending feats(bent a wave 20 stories in base, created a huge cyclone). She was able to have a slight upper hand over Kuvira in an all metal room. The Toph statement is not very concrete as Toph often puts down others and could have been saying she’s the worst avatar out of sarcasm. Korra has insane durability, endurance and stamina while aang lacks in those categories. Aang lost to Toph in comics, and struggled hard with Ozai before his avatar state. A lot of his fights are interrupted or he runs away. He was even defeated by Jet😭 but he wasn’t attacking him. Korras metal bending is crazy underrated and she even hit kuvira with it. She has great physical strength and resisted amons blood bending, the strongest blood bender in the verse.

Aang actually has better and stronger feats in the Avatar State than Korra even in comics. I think this means the latest Avatar has the most potential in the Avatar state but that doesnt mean from the very first time they use the Avatar state their the strongest avatar ever. For example Aang in Season 3 was the strongest hes ever been in Avatar state even though hes already used the Avatar state many times before. Korra is physically stronger and skilled. Aang is more experienced and versatile. A fight between them would be similar to Aang vs Ozai. A fight Aang almost won in base. Aang would get a lot of hits in and Korra can take hits but if she lands one, he's toast. It's 50/50, not a stomp.

People be saying "we have only seen aang as kid we dk how strong adult aang is" like we have seen adult korra. Both aang and korra mastered avatar state when they werent even in their prime okus just likwe havent seen aang in his prime we also havent seen korra in her prime. We havent seen adult korra at all. However we know little about adult aang in the book one of korra.
Korra trained with an older Katara as stated in Book 1 and shown in the comics “Patterns in Time” that it was combat. In said Comic it’s stated she mastered earth bending and water bending by the time she was around Aang’s age.
In episode 1 she’s stated to have mastered all 3 elements. Though I believe Aang is the superior fire bender. Korra is the better water bender in terms of feats and versatility. Earth bending is debatable but I got Korra considering that Toph believed Aang still needed training with earth bending just days before Sozin’s comet while Korra outright has the narrative of master in book 1.

Allow me to cook real quick: Korra will always be stronger. The creators themselves said that every avatar after will be stronger, why? Not because the avatars add their power to ravva everytime they die, but because ravva grows in power. Remember in the game when Korra said “my power has been growing since before time began”. Guess what. Avatars didn’t exist but ravva did. Ravva becomes stronger from the good the last avatar did. She grows from light and piece. And since aang did a great job as the avatar he boosted ravvas power for Korra. Ravva is the ever growing power, the avatars lend their bending skills when in the avatar state not their bending POWER. And when ravva was killed notice how when she was ripped from Korra she was about the size of a human? And notice how when she was reborn she was the same size as Vattu? Korra fused with a bigger, more powerful version of ravva. The avatars past skills didn’t even matter. Ravva was still little with them even if their power was all combined before Korra lost the lives. So this literally proves that korra has the most powerful avatar state to exist, by A LOT. it took 10,000 years for ravva to grow as big as a human from a tea pot size. But Korra is fused with a fully powered up Ravva.
How exactly is a reborn Raava prime Raava? She was immortal being with 10,000 years of experience. How is a reset version of her the "prime" version.
I'm curious about this as well- it's never implied that Raava lost any power over the years, in fact each avatar has only gotten stronger.The Raava within Aang and the newly reborn Raava within Korra would more then likely be equal.
Which is also partly why I give him the win in avatar state since their strengh would be equal but he has the skill of past avatars while she only has her own.
Pretty much the Raava that was within most of the Avatars was a very small Raava and is extremely weak. Whilst when Raava was reborn, she was significantly larger.

I've been thinking, the feat korra displayed at the end of her series is the most powerful feat any avatar has done, Korra tanked kuvira spirit beam which was amped by all the spirit vines around and Korra deflected it and blasted a hole through two universes, this feat is crazy cus raava and vaatu where created the same way, raava and vaatu birth was what created the spirit world and every spirit in existence and even the mother of faces who created the physical universe and split the spirit and physical universe apart, this feat she dud is at least universal and raava and vaatu individually scale above her and cosmic aang/cosmic korra would scale above both raava and vaatu combined which would also make them scale above the mother of faces who has universal lvl feats, and Korra duplicated what raava and vaatu did by blasting a hole through two dimensions/universe, that would possibly scale her ti to universal considering raava, vaatu and the mother of faces did the same thing when they were created. Even avatar kuruk, during his battle with father glow worm also did the same thing, when he and glow worm energy clash, it ripped a hole through reality and through two universes but because of this, glow worm's energy greatly reduced as well as kuruk life force too, and if aang were to do the same thing, his life span would also be reduced, but korra on the other hand perform this feat casually and walked out with kuvira like nothing ever happened, this is because Korra us more stronger than any of her previous lives and most people would doubt this claims because the attack didn't look big but you guys are forgetting that there is more AP in avatar than DC, even in dragon ball during the tournament of power, Vegeta used hus full power to defeat one of jiren team mate but his attack didn't even look like it could destroy a planet and even when goku fought kelfa in his ultra instict, their attack didn't look like it could destroy a universe or a planet, through out the tournament of power, goku and his team went all out using their full power but it didn't destroy the rim they were fighting on and even when ulta instict goku was shaking an infinite realm, it didn't even destroy the rim they were fighting on, that a good example of AP and the same goes for avatar. Good video, but I do disagree with the base to base argument. Korra is consistently shown in the series to be much more gifted than Aang when it comes to bending. She could very easily grasp metal bending because of her skill, she learned spirit purification after just watching once and got it perfectly on her 3rd try, she mastered airbending in approximately 6 months (as stated by Tenzin), and her fire bending power is far beyond Aang’s. Not to mention Korra is also just blatantly physically stronger than Aang as well. Aang may have more versatility with earth and air, but it is shown consistently in the series that he struggles against people with aggressive and powerful styles like Azula and Ozai. I also think it’s a wild take to assert that Toph is saying Aang is above a prime Korra because she “see’s everything”. The context clearly is her talking about her training with her and how she’s a total flop because of her ptsd and poison. I mean, we have literally seen Korra break out of the most powerful blood bender’s grasp and then proceed to overpower him before she met Toph which is something Aang has never done even while in prime without the AS.
Aang has never fought Azula in a definite 1v1 though? Everytime they fight, he has another objective occupying his mind; be it escaping to get some sleep, defending Katara or destroying the drill. He hasn't actually fought her in a direct fight

Korra’s losses are normally her being nerfed or fighting a completely new fighting style that didn’t exist to her previously. Aang is literally trying to overpower Azula and being unable to do so. She overpowered his crystal armor, could escape the entire Team Avatar at the same time, and could easily outmaneuver Aang while he was expressly trying to catch her without her bending. The show is pretty consistently pushing this narrative.

Aangs wins in the avatar state as well. His avatar state is more powerful. Korras Raava is stronger. It’s stated that you get the power, skill, and knowledge of the previous avatars. So while Korra is getting the power of a stronger Raava. Aang is getting the power of a weaker Raava and the added power of each individual avatar, added into one that’s existed in the past 10k years.
Raava gives power but only her own. the avatars themselves add onto that power. Thats why they channel their power through Raava to the current avatar. It’s also why each avatar becomes stronger than the last cause they gain the additional power of the one that came before. The thing is since Korra lost her connections she doesn’t get their power.
Prime Vaatu who’s equal to prime Raava lost to wan. So if just 1 avatar can bridge the gap between a weaker Raava and a prime Vaatu. Then an avatar with the power, knowledge, and experiences of however many avatars existed in that 10 thousand year time span far exceeds a prime Raavas power.
Korra doesn’t scale above other avatars feats since she lost her connections. The connections of the previous avatars give power. Since her avatar state is weaker without the connections, she doesn’t scale above the feats cause she doesn’t get their power in the 1st place.

It highly depends where in their series. Their training is fairly equal, Korra has a lot more power in her bending and both are similarly skilled. In almost any moment in the series Aang has no controll over the avatar state. Korra does throughout most of the story. Korra can do a lot Aang can't and vice versa. It's not a good comparison no matter how you take it. We never see them at a similar age and their stories and lives go completely different. but there are some ways Korra beats Aang with no discussion.
-Accomplishments, Aang achieved a lot, but he didn't save the universe.
-Physical ability. Aang is quick but I'm pretty sure he can't lift a man
-A good relationship with their family. Korra has supportive parents, Aang has no parents and limited to Katara, Tenzin and those 2 non-airbender kids who were always in his house.

I only respectfully disagree with the vatu argument because kyoshi in her avatar state has done far better feats then roku in their avatar states. As we see the strength of kyoshi compared to roku. Roku couldn’t stop a large boulder and was struggling against a volcano meanwhile kyoshi just casually created her own island by earth bending alone. Roku also couldn’t lava bend even tho his past life can magma bend. So I don’t actually think they’re strength passes but rather the avatars are there to pass the knowledge whenever they are channeled with each other.But other than that I agree with everything and I think this vid was great👍

When was it confirmed that katara only taught Korra healing, it doesn't add up since we saw katara attend, and judge her bending tryouts, if katara has a say in Korra's fire bending, how does it make sense not to partake in her water bend training
Katara most likely taught Korra a more experienced version of katara for a longer period of time making Korra logically superior, but it doesn't end there based on screen evidence and feats Korra is superior and is a master of all water bending forms aside of blood bending
Aang is severely lacking in that regard since he never showed proficiency in high level moves such as freezing, and waterspouts, the later he can only accomplish in the AS
But that's besides the point the reason Korra wins is because of her unrivaled versatility she can bend multiple elements at the same time fly while bending rocks, use waterspouts while bending flames and creating a tornado all in the process all without the avatar state aang and other avatars primarily bend only one element at a time that is without the AS
Korra wins in base. She has better water bending feats(bent a wave 20 stories in base, created a huge cyclone). She was able to have a slight upper hand over Kuvira in an all metal room. The Toph statement is not very concrete as Toph often puts down others and could have been saying she’s the worst avatar out of sarcasm. Korra has insane durability, endurance and stamina while aang lacks in those categories. Aang lost to Toph in comics, and struggled hard with Ozai before his avatar state. A lot of his fights are interrupted or he runs away. He was even defeated by Jet😭 but he wasn’t attacking him. Korras metal bending is crazy underrated and she even hit kuvira with it. She has great physical strength and resisted amons blood bending, the strongest blood bender in the verse.

Aang actually has better and stronger feats in the Avatar State than Korra even in comics. I think this means the latest Avatar has the most potential in the Avatar state but that doesnt mean from the very first time they use the Avatar state their the strongest avatar ever. For example Aang in Season 3 was the strongest hes ever been in Avatar state even though hes already used the Avatar state many times before. So Korra has potential to be the strongest Avatar in the Avatar state but hasnt shown the feats yet. So I think Feats over >>> Statements.

I think that aang in the avatar state would beat korra no it's not because of bias but because aang has and had better feats in the avatar state when korra goes in the avatar state nothing changes does she get stronger yeah but look at her feats she lost to her uncle while she was in the avatar state lost to kuvera in the avatar state lost to sihere but I'll let that one slide because she was poisoned meanwhile aang in the avatar state was beating the shit out of ozai general old iron zuko and the fire nation army see how when aang goes into the avatar state that he gets the upper hand unlike getting a slight power boost and it amounting to nothing the only good avatar state feat Korra has is spirit bending literally and that's just sad
she easily overpowered kuvara in the AS she knocked her down on the 1st attack and her third attack would have killed kuvara. kuvara beat her after korra left the AS

@@sonicnetwork2944 yes he got killed in the AS and needed paku's spirit water, katara's healing, and iroh's sacrifice to remain to alive. all the other times he was in the AS it was rava and the past avatars fighting for him. she only lost to unalok/Vaatu in the AS and thats while he was also in the AS
