@@darrenhenry4561Esse disco é um clássico. Eu estou tentando comprá-lo mas aqui no Brasil é impossível. Ele foi lançado aqui e logo sumiu de catálogo e nos outros países também pelo jeito . Ele poderia ser relançado.
OMG!!! I’ve been looking for this tune since I was a kid! It was the theme tune to Love Bites (1996-2001), a British sex education TV show. I enjoyed the show, but loved the tune even more. My life now feels complete on hearing the full version of the song. Thank you, Dubstar ❤️❤️❤️
17 January 2020, Palermo, Sicily. Always and forever, thank you to Great Britain and the British people whose creativity, since the 1960s, has given the rest of the World hundreds of unique bands such as the Dubstar and music of unparalleled beauty, quirkiness and atmosphere. What would our lives have been without British bands? Thank you. And love, admiration and adoration. P.S.: "Disgraceful" is my favourite "girlish-sounding" album all of times and "Anywhere" one of the most "summerish-sounding" ones.
Ouvindo aqui no Brasil em 2024 . Ouvia sem parar quando lançou em 1995 . Achei-a bem parecida com " Two Of Us " dos Beatles com exceção dos instrumentos eletrônicos de resto é bem parecida.
As we’re revealing ages - I was 35 when this charted and I played the album to death in my car on a cassette lol. Now I’m 62 and I am still playing the CD. Not on Spotify sadly!
First time I heard this was in 1995 and I was 14 :) I watched this videoclip on the italian music tv (VideoMusic) only one time and since then I cannot find it "anywhere". When I found this video a week ago I was totally mesmerized and that day I was the happiest and most carefree person in the world :)
I have such fond memories of this song; whilst eating much pizza and drinking copious amounts of pepsi :o). Genuinely happy times all those years ago.....
I reckon I first heard this in October 1995, on the radio, without catching the name of the band or the track, but it stuck in my head. Well, having just found it I'm discovering the back and recent catalogue. So calm and gentle.. Great stuff, cheers!
Fucking hell mate, love Dubstar but it's not even the best Dubstar tune, but "best tune ever written!",I've gotta respect your passion bro, that's a hell of a statement.
God I wish this band got more love. I was the one who uploaded St. Swithin's Day on my old account and I'm not gonna lie, I think it contributed to their cult following c:
I'll be around anywhere Any place you want me I'll be around anywhere Any time I'm free In time the stakes will change Even predestination couldn't stay I don't mind I don't mind I'll be around anywhere Any place you want me I'll be around anywhere Any time I'm free In time this place is mine You know the inspiration in my smile I don't mind I don't mind Leave it all behind I don't mind
Perfect piece of three minute pop except its 3.40 which makes it more than perfect. Not sure about the first time I heard it but it can't have taken more than one play to have me addicted. I wish they would get back together.
I had the honour of spending several hours with Sarah a few years ago whilst watching an Erasure gig in a Suffolk forest, she was just so very lovely and chatty. What's happened to her and the guys from Dubstar?
I contacted Steve Hillier on Facebook a few weeks ago,he replied saying he hasn't heard from Sarah for several years and there are no plans for future Dubstar releases. Shame.
UPDATE...A new Dubstar album is being released on September 28th...unfortunately Steve Hillier is no longer part of the band, it's now just Sarah and Chris. I had another meeting with Sarah in April this year, she was her usual amazing self, just a lovely down to earth lady.
Steve Hillier has his own website and youtube channel where he's releasing the various Dubstar demos and other unreleased tracks. Well worth a few hours explore.
Back in the student union, £1/pint of watered down 'lager', 5 pints later cop off with some girl, back to hers, morning after where am I? Back to halls and the walk of shame... Good times
When I was a kid, there was a pretty fun sex education show on TV in the UK called 'Love Bites' presented by the super-hot Anna Richardson, with this as the theme tune. Good times ^^
I saw them performing once in a Finnish tv show in the mid '90s. I listened to their albums but I don't know how popular they actually were. Underrated IMO.
I was just listening to bbc 4 and someone wrote in saying her boyfriend wrote a song convincing her to stay in London. And today they're still together. They then revealed the song was a top 40 hit by dubstar. Is it this song?
I love that you come to each of their videos to slag them off! The second album is brilliant, and some killer tracks on the third. BTW, Dubstar is very much together and do live shows occasionally.
I wasn't trolling - I found their next two albums totally disappointing. The letdown was palpable! This was a classic first album, full of awesome songs and no filler tracks. To anyone else reading this, check out their other stuff, you might enjoy it as much as this!
I hear ya, just wanted to invite people to check out their other stuff as well. There are some real gems on the other albums, and tons on b-sides. They made some rather odd choices for singles later on, I will give you that. Lots of good tracks got overlooked.
They'll all being praying to Allah in the UK shortly so enjoy this while you can. Funny thing about there Brits. Long on singing and short on stomping.
Loved the song at the time and still do. Also , being a Dubstar fan in 1995 was like having access to a wonderful secret no one else shared .
Tune loved it and Sarah at the time
This is one of the best tunes from 1995. I totally adore this song. Means so much to me.
Dubstar - Disgraceful- Still my best ever album still!! From 1996 onwards 😃😃😃
Deffo❤❤

One of the 1990's lost tunes. Totally gorgeous song from the age of Britpop.
Totally underrated band!!!!
48 years young and still a refreshing blast from the past for me too. Great album to boot!
I loved Dubstar…I saw Dubstar live in Newcastle Quayside in 1990’s, Sarah Blackwood was sitting on a suitcase outside the venue ❤️❤️❤️!
Loved this song when I bought the album in 1996 and still enjoy hearing it now.
I dare anyone to listen to this and not even slightly swing their head from side to side - wonderful slice of mid-90's _joie de vivre..._
I bet you were fun to hang around with in school.
Having all these Dubstar videos finally on UA-cam makes me very happy.
Their music has held up surprisingly well. Ah, the memories.
one of the best chill out tunes ever after clubbing in the 90's with a joint
Like a fascinating mix of Lush, Cocteau Twins and Everything But the Girl and a great song either way with enough to stand on its own.
Shame in my country they don't have much fame. But Dubstar is the 90s brilliant! Sarah is beautiful
Oh, how this takes me back. What a wonderful tune.👍
Iove Dubstar forever. As for first looking, nothing. But opened with time
i love this song. Cant believe I was like 12 when it charted. I'm 31 now. Still love it
Love Dubstar!

Still love this song even in 2020
i will love it forever!!
start of 1996 for me ♥ what a year
Reminds me of my ex-bird.
This album is great! The best of 90's
great tune,, miss the 90's!! she was well fit😍😍
Heard this on the US CD, which was apparently a compilation. Never knew there was a vid for this song. One of their better songs. Very bouncy.
I have such fond memories of this song; whilst eating much pizza and drinking copious amounts of pepsi :o). Genuinely happy times all those years ago.....

A lot of the songs on the first album have a reggae backbeat. Works great.
Underrated is right. I didn't hear about them until fairly recently. Missed a lot from this group.
Great new album 2 in 2022
The best song ever written.
Fucking hell mate, love Dubstar but it's not even the best Dubstar tune, but "best tune ever written!",I've gotta respect your passion bro, that's a hell of a statement.
great pop track from 1996. tales me straight back. love the mid section too. stuff like this is timeless.
Jerrys000 *1995.
Still an evergreen classic!
This has that 80's Love Tractor sound.
Great tune, haven't heard it in years (I think I might still have the CD single of this somewhere).
MrThunderwing Goddamn, Sarah Blackwood was sexy back in the day...
brilliant song. so 90s very catchy tune.
still love this tune :)
Beautiful voice and well, bloody bootiful.Amazing song.
how was this song forgotten by time..?

Sublime electro/guitar pop
Today's Britpopple answer! I knew it was Dubstar but chose the other 2 songs before giving up annoyingly...dammit!!!
Love the intro, btw.
Terrific Song
Takes me way back!!
I'm going to play this in my new car.

Thanks a lot. I've been looking for this video since 1996..)
Early tv performance ITV This Morning a sussed place to play though it was with Not So Manic Now
Would love to hear this with just a vocal, guitar, bass and drum track.
First time hearing this and I totally like it :D
I am not to familiar with the music genres from the 90's, would you considered Dubstar as trip-hop?
This is a pretty good song I like it
this and the remix on stars are their best songs
When I was a kid, there was a pretty fun sex education show on TV in the UK called 'Love Bites' presented by the super-hot Anna Richardson, with this as the theme tune. Good times ^^
WanderlustZero thank you, been driving me crazy thinking which show it was used on.
Does anyone agree that Sarah looks like Maria from Silent Hill 2 here? ))
shame about the incorrect aspect ratio. pls fix it ASAP!
leuk jeugdsentiment
Persistenation???
Were they popular in Europe and Australia?
I saw them performing once in a Finnish tv show in the mid '90s. I listened to their albums but I don't know how popular they actually were. Underrated IMO.
northern england's answer to southern england's saint etienne

Great band shame they only did 3 albums!
Great debut album then the two follow ups weren't anywhere near as good. Odd. Still...
I love that you come to each of their videos to slag them off! The second album is brilliant, and some killer tracks on the third. BTW, Dubstar is very much together and do live shows occasionally.
Just my opinion, friend. The first album is brilliant and each follow up sounded less and less like Dubstar. There isn't a bad track on the 1st album.
I respect your opinion... just offering another viewpoint!
I wasn't trolling - I found their next two albums totally disappointing. The letdown was palpable! This was a classic first album, full of awesome songs and no filler tracks. To anyone else reading this, check out their other stuff, you might enjoy it as much as this!

No I don't mind.
Don't think much of the backing dancers lol
They'll all being praying to Allah in the UK shortly so enjoy this while you can. Funny thing about there Brits. Long on singing and short on stomping.
Showing your ignorance there, I see 🙄
