With the Alley-Viper backpack, the best solution is to replace it with the POC version. Alternatively you could use one of the many clear rubber bands that came with the set to band it in place.
You have the b.a.t's back and vines right, they were first introduced like that in the comic. The b.a.t.'s went Kami kaze on the joes and rode straight into them with the spores exploding and entangled their vehicles
In the case of Mindbender-If you have an extra single carded Ripper/Monkeywrench or even the hands from Crimson Twins either or will work-but to give it the real classic look the single carded Zartan gloves will fit on those Mindbender arms. Also those spores/mines ya posted for Lamprey they go with the BAT hence the canister and purple plant-from one of the comic book issues Also what Adam Lucas said just use a POC Alley Viper pack it has the peg to hold down grappling hook rifle
Diorama insert would work with an expanded diorama to go together. Could use your 3-D printer to make a top n bottom piece, and an airbrush n stock card for flanking “beach head” backdrops. ( in robot chicken NERD voice) : soooo cooool!
...and u just dropped the $300 price down to $140. $175 if u keep everything and store it. I open all my stuff ( expect Star Wars Black/vintage) but I keep packaging behind them in display/diorama. Keep collecting bro, n more videos too; cuz GI joe will be something I can only collect by watching you.
Really wish I got into G.I. Joes sooner. Alley Viper from 93 was my all time favorite. I like the shield on the classic version better but I prefer the black and yellow color scheme. I actually just got one MOC for $45. The old figures are better quality in my opinion but the new articulation is nice. I’m curious to know if you have any dioramas? If you do I’m sure we’d all like to see what you came up with.
I'm pretty sure the B.A.T.s backpack is meant to hold the torch arm and appear as fuel for it, seems like this set dicks you out of a small, but important piece. With that exception, this is an awesome set.
That's not original color for Ally Viper. Original didnt have brown shine guards or what ever the 1 of this set has. All the moden Joe's look weird, overly stretched or something. Disproportionat imho. Thanks 4 video
I had both this and the Attack on Cobra Island sets when you could get them by the dozen for next to nothing at Ollie's. They were practically giving them away. I sold off my collection shortly after. I've since started collecting again and wanted this set again, but oh man are they bloody expensive! I know that it's a multi pack with several sought after army builders (in classic colors). They are worth the going price I guess, but I just can't see paying that much for them. Don't get me started on the prices of loose figures...
Why is the Strato Viper listed here as "Air Viper"? In any case, this is a nice set that I missed the first time around, and due to its current price on the secondary market will never own. Wouldn't be the first time.

Im pretty sure the B.A.T. was supposed to be a damaged trooper that sank underwater (hence the plant, the battle damaged head, and the broken glass).
The year these were released, I was going through a tough time and didn't even know they were there I hope I get another chance to buy them again.

Use white/school glue to secure any loose items!; it holds well, but doesn't damage the plastic!

Yes you're correct. Those are plant spores. The bats at times did use plant spores. Pretty cool accessory

You can use one of those clear rubberbands from your package. I use one of those clear rubberband's from package, and it works just fine.
I prefer the Vintage dr. Mindbender.
This is a nice set but good luck trying to find this for a decent price. All I'm seeing is 120-300 dollars. Lol. It's a cool set, but not that cool.

Yup its dumb. Aero- Vipers were green and gold and looked like a creepy guy with his helmet off.
