"Some claim dem a Muslims uh uh uh Dem claim dem be Christians Some a say dem a rastafarians uh uh uh Dem say dem be Ogun servers BUT I and I and I IS ONE WE ALL ARE ONE PEOPLE I AND I IS ONE..." That right there is a powerful messag, y'all. We are all ONE people. Great song from a lavishly talented artist, rest in peace, Majek. Nigeria & the rest of the world mourn you. Rest in peace.
Great guy met him in 1990 at the Oba of benin Palace, a great guy. Great performance. He came in with his boots, shorts no top in handcuffs holding and ringing a bell....what a show. A very talented guy. Nigeria craves more prophets like this.
I was in secondary school then and I never believed Nigeria will ever come to were we are now. It was a military era and we thought it would be better in democracy. Who did this to us.
In one of his interview he said he make sound and don't play sound, and the evidence is there as a mark we will all feel. May he continue to rest well in peace!!!
this man was.. and will always be a prophet cos this is what is happening right now in front of our eyes...but we are blind to see it......religion and politics.....
This beautiful record came out the day i got married, And the biggest question is that, How many Nigerians realised the storm of confusion that's coming towards our nation or understand the true meaning of this song track then??, Instead of changing our ways of how we became vulnerable in the hands of religious cowboys leaders, We keep falling into their traps more and more on daily basis, And today, there's no stress without church, Especially pentecostal churches with deferent criminal names.
so far they have gone brother, they cannot go any further. The Lord has arise in your life and all enemy henceforth will be scattered. go shine my brother and fulfill your destiny in Jesus name
I was a 12yr old boy in Lagos at the time. Him, Ras Kimono, Edna Ogori, Felix Liberty, and a young siblings who sang; " duro ti mi oluwa. Omo keke remi ti ra agbara... duro ti mi oluwa" pardon me if i didn't get the spellings right. I lost the language when my parents sent me back to Ghana right that year. I think the song was released the very year Sunny Ade or Sheno Peters released "Fugi cabbage" And i have never seen Nigeria since i was sent babe to Ghana
Oh Big Brother majek fashek Big Brother what do you want what I want one love Rasta from Smith ataq one love Big Brother may God guide you and protect you and give me the strength to come back to your feet again your song Smith One Love
I saw a post about him on Facebook..as a lover of music, i❤ rushed here and discovered raw talent, OMG! rest on Legend...i am definitely doing a cover of one of your songs oneday as a tribute.❤
has almost always been. But from a global perspective on religion, Things thought in the books (bible for exemple) are stories with certain meaning which you can agree or disagree. you can have your own opinion. Only power and money and vices always change individuals in a perversive way. has always been. So where i come from for example christianity had a lot of power (as much as the kings)... not so long ago, maybe 30 years ago they still had power and 40+ years old people are suing a lot of priests because they would abuse the kids. and back then the kids couldn't speak against them because they would either not be taken seriously or put in detained crazy houses. the popes has always disregarded that until last year i think, and now if a priest commits such act he would be expelled maybe... but thats nothing compared to until 200 years ago when my ancestors were heavily taxed, they lived with almost nothing and obliged to have 1 kid a year or consequence=more taxes. the churches even today retain their sculpted gold ceillings. Wonder why people are less and less religious? my two cents.
everything he said as at that time is happening right now in all over the world. what a great man and we thank God you are still alive to see all these things happening....
REAL TRUTH RELIGION IS POLITIC.I HAVE TRAVEL SO WILD IN AFRICA AND EUROPE THAT MAKE ME TO BELIEVE MAJEK.IS BETTER WE START LIVE AS BROTHERS AND SISTERS, LIVE IN PEACE
it is fast becoming clear to everyone that the lyrics in this song is the whole truth, afterall we can now see it and cite a whole lot of examples. It is time to leave HYPOCRISY alone and face reality. Love brotherman!
The first time I listened to this track it got me thinking "How did you degenerate to this point" If truly we serve the same One True God then wars, strife and its like would be a thing of the past. Even till today Dec 2014, Christians, Muslims, Traditional worshippers are gearing for the worst all because of the spoils of office. Nigerians have a rethink.
I hope 🤞 our northern fellow citizens will listen to this great lyrics.who know if they will forget about Boko haram, bombs and Ak47’s yes? No? Or maybe not? Million dollar question waiting for answers.
And the GO of RCCG went into closed door meeting with president Buhari. I am sure he said, hey folk, "remember we run this sh**t together". Mystery of iniquity is working.
Oh God pls cme rescue majek..I love this jam..Sme claim dem be ogun servers.Make all this evil spirit olokun ogun people free majek o..Only God can judge majek
Well need to talk, this foreign religion has destroyed us, I have been saying this for along time ,we need go back to our roots,,all black people, it our ancestors calling us back, africa is the promise land ,the land filled with milk and honey, that has been destroyed by religion, tribalism, cololcolonial mentality, greedy government .
majek is right, if we are serious about one nigeria, an economic strong nigeria we must find it in our hearth to fully separate state from religion. the north must understand that and so the west..and we must also support strong state government.
One thin for sure is that Religion is Politics and am not religious. The Spirit of Justice and Good is the God in us and the Spirit of injustice and oppression is the evil that we must not satisfy. Those who still believe in the stories told by the Whitman and the Vatican are the people I pity,I was one of them and God opened my eyes to see ....
"Some claim dem a Muslims uh uh uh
Dem claim dem be Christians
Some a say dem a rastafarians uh uh uh
Dem say dem be Ogun servers
BUT I and I and I IS ONE
WE ALL ARE ONE PEOPLE
I AND I IS ONE..."
That right there is a powerful messag, y'all.
We are all ONE people.

Great guy met him in 1990 at the Oba of benin Palace, a great guy. Great performance. He came in with his boots, shorts no top in handcuffs holding and ringing a bell....what a show. A very talented guy. Nigeria craves more prophets like this.
He saw into the future. Rest in peace, Rainmaker.
I was in secondary school then and I never believed Nigeria will ever come to were we are now. It was a military era and we thought it would be better in democracy. Who did this to us.
My sister it has gotten worse o.we are now in shege promax.
You are so right, there was no money back then but we had peace, unity and plenty of fresh food to eat
Me laughing because this comment was 5years ago. Imagine now
The base line is something else. Great musicians who played on real instruments not computer beats.
I feel attacked 🤣🤣 but what you say is true
Spot on, it was the base line that really attracted me to this song. You must have an ear for details in music.
Old beats are the best
God bless you my brother. Your ears judge you no wrong
In one of his interview he said he make sound and don't play sound, and the evidence is there as a mark we will all feel. May he continue to rest well in peace!!!

Religion on it's own is politics. It's about the umbrella where corruption hides.
Christianity is a party
Islam is a party
What makes a man is life and what made lives made me
Fashek spiritual man,and his spiritual songs. Miss the old days
Very appropriate for the present times.
