Notice that the hens really started poppin' those eggs out when that guy stopped singing and Martha played her piano solo.... The hens know good music!
Their harmonies are practically telepathic. Incredible talents. And the idea of the ultra-sophisticated Bozzies singing in a barn and playing a hay-covered piano - inspired and so fun.
Those "Bozzies" were awesome... Their close harmony is stunningf. Can you imagine how a trio like this might go over today on a show like, "America's Got Talent"? I'm willing to bet they'd rock the house... ('Course, we won't see their like again, I'm sure...)
This is some real roots excellence not only vocally and the piano, but the lyrics are super clever and funny. It's also real roots excellence for comedy with most of what future SNL people would need to know. School kids should study the Bozzies. There's a lot going on artistically and Connie continues on to do great things for young polio patients.
Thank God for the technology to preserve these gems for us to enjoy today.

Ah the old straw piano. Haven't seen one of those for a long time.

These Girls were way ahead of their time! Great Stage presence, very likable and amazing harmonies. This was a music video!

The song is extremely silly, but what they're doing is absolutely amazing.
It was Connie who played the piano solo not Martha.
does anyone know how to get chord charts or sheet music for the Boswell Sister's songs?
