The wonder of a generation of guitars players to be Hank B Marvin.Nobody in that style come even close to the Shadows eternal sound.A sound for the eternity,….forever beautiful, happy sound…I’m a fan from the Shadows sense 1958…A
I've loved The Shadows since 1964. Yesterday, December 9, 2022, I bought the rest of the LP (analogue) "The Shadows' Greatest Hits (COLUMBIA). 1960-1962. I enjoy listening to it so much. I regret that there is no song "Atlantis" on it, but it was recorded in 1963 so it couldn't be on this record yet Hank Marvin is the face of this great band.
The popularity of The Shadows' instrumentals was indeed waning in the mid-60s, but only temporarily. The Shadows' vocal numbers never made No. 1 in the UK, because there was no magic in them, unlike their instrumentals, which will endure the test of time and last forever.
Great conversation on both sides. Always fun to hear Hank Marvin talk through his development as a musician and star performer.
Very good and interesting interview of the LEGENDRY Hank! Thanks for sharing with us all.
Glad you enjoyed it

Wonderful Land changed my life. I was 11 when it came out. ❤
Same for me! I was 13 and it changed my life. Learned to play guitar and played in a 60s band for 30 years - of course with Shadows medleys! 😎
Played at my brother’s funeral.
