- Create pretty pink cottage style decor using a few simple steps and tips. Pink is a versatile color, it's not just for little girls' rooms anymore. Soft pink, ivory, and cool whites are some of the core colors for cottage style. Today's DIY decorating video shows you how to create inexpensive decor using chalk paint, decoupage with free printables, and recycle thrifted items. My tips will show simple steps to help you create unique designs using these colors in combination with soft gray and subdued hues of pink.

I spray my printouts with 2 coats polycrylic and let it dry before using on my project. it never bleeds. I love all of your projects. You do such beautiful work.

Silver or light gray cover dark colors better, and then you won't need as many layers of paint. It was just a little trick I learned.
