@77katsumoto What the hell. The exact same experience for me. For a long time, I was looking for it. I would be searching Nectar War or something like that and couldn't come up with anything. I was thinking "What was that game?! I swear I played it before!" But like you, I just gave up and thought I had it all wrong. I finally figured it out. Don't even remember how. Thanks for posting this video dude!
Nectaris is a good game, but there is one thing preventing it from being great. Extreme random battles. Stats mean little. 6 vs 8 hp Slugger duel or that 2 hp Slugger against 8 hp Titan...
That music played for the Xenon side when they have more units then the Union was used when the Axis side was getting it's ass kicked by the Allied Powers. Love that music.
where can i download the ROM.. its almost a decade!! i really like this game!! I have a cd but i dont hav a playstation. huhuhu. and then my cd was gone..
+Beanmachine91 Yeah, it has the original 32 maps, plays another 32 map campaign exclusive to the PS1 version, AND another 44 maps made by fans in a contest. It's just a remake of Military Madness, but a darn good one. There was a sequel to Military Madness, Neo Nectaris (Nectaris is the Japanese name for MM) that added new units, but it was Japanese only. However, I think there's an Iphone port/remake of Neo Nectaris that is in English.
UnKn0wn86 Lots of younger people get into older games because the internet, piracy, and emulation make it very easy and free to do so, be it on your computer or even on your phone. That's how I got into it this title because I was curious about the Turbo Grafx 16 library. And older people often like to play what they grew up with. I honestly keep think we're still getting amazing titles every year (like, say Undertale, Life is Strange, Axiom Verge, Downwell, Her Story, and The Beginner's Guide last year), but older game still definitely have their own value to them. Like, Nectaris is a very entry level, pick up and play turb based strategy game but one that still requires strategy. There's still a niche for that just like there was back in 1989 when the original came out on the PC Engine.
Yep this game brings back some memories and the music is just... Wow
The music for this game is badass

Same with me !!
Me I am looking for years for this! Today 2023 I found it!!!
Always a blast how the enemy always out numbered you in this game.
If you watch the farce going on up North in this game you can see that the ineptitude of the AI makes up for it

For the most part this can be attributed to extreme dice rolls.

The first turn based strategy game I played before I played other turned base like Fire Emblem
@Illbohema
You can buy the CD for your PS online then. Or search online for PSX emulator and download the ROM. PM me if you need more help. :)
There was a game that came with my laptop called crimson fields. I can see it borrowed quite a bit from this game
Same here they only thing i could remember were the animated combat scenes, but wasnt there mechs in this game?
Or have i yet to truly find that one?
@Illbohema
Hehe the music was the first thing I remembered when I was searching for this game. :)
@77katsumoto
Glad to hear that. :)

Great game, faster than the advance war on saturn and Dreamcast. Too bad not saturn port
يوجد هذا القرص لدي لغاية اليوم ونحن في سنة 2024❤
Check out the revamped version on XBLA, WiiWare, or PSN. I think it's only$10. Graphics are better but gameplay is the same.
For a PS1 update of the original DOS game I expected a bit better graphics for the combat map----
the same as advance wars but this game has a realistic 3D. cool!!
vincent asakira actually not the same.
Its more like advanced daisenryaku and a bit of langrisser.
Dis game by my shit. Teaches you real strategy brohiem.
@attilaclark Abandonia. Search for 'Nectaris'

Wow people still remember games like these? I'm surprised.

I loved the TG-16 version. I'll have to give this a try since I'm a PS1 slut.
