People please understand- Only when the primary applicant (H1-B) holders have an approved I-140, the H4 applicants are eligible to apply for an EAD. Other H4 applicants cannot and are not eligible to apply for an EAD without the I-140 being approved for the primary (H1-B) holder.

The suit was filed to invalidate all the existing h4 EADs and also prohibit any future h4 EAD. And this news came into picture when the judgement came in favor of H4 EAD holders. Yes this was a bullet dodged. This saved the jobs of so many people!! That is why the news is making the rounds. And I have already mentioned this in the video. It takes lot of efforts and research to bring information to people. But just 2 seconds from someone who barely watch the video to come to a conclusion. That’s disheartening! As I have always mentioned I try my best to clear doubts and questions in the comments and feel free to reach out!
I am confused with this video content. All these years H4 VISA holders need to apply for H4 EAD and once it gets approved they can do business/ work for an employer until the expiration date. Can Pragnya or someone explain what is new in this video, did I miss something?
Nothing has changed! You still need EAD. There was a case to stop the EAD but the ruling came against it. It saved the careers of thousands of EAD holders!!

1. H1B holder has to apply for i140 for h4 to be eligible to apply for EAD 2. Yes, h4 EAD was eligible to work but there was a case filed against it. If that would have been successful then all h4 EAD would have become invalid. Thank god that scenario is avoided now.

Unfortunately you cannot do anything from your end. Your wife’s company will have to initiate her i140. Once that is approved you can apply for EAD. If she already has i140 then all you need to do is file for EAD.

The difference is if SAVE Jobs USA had won the case then all EADs would have become invalid. Thank god they did not and the law confirmed that h4 holders can work. But they will still need EAD

You still need EAD to work! There was case filed to stop h4 holders from working altogether. Now that case is dismissed. It means h4 holders can work. But they still need EAD to work.

Hi im about to move to US as a dependent of my wife . I hold an h4 visa . What should I do to get an ead?? Pls help.
Unfortunately you cannot do anything from your end. Your wife’s company will have to initiate her i140. Once that is approved you can apply for EAD. If she already has i140 then all you need to do is file for EAD.
