My father started taking me to junkyards and hockshops when I was 3. One of my first cars--a 66 Volvo he made gaskets out of carpet pads. He was frugal--not poor. I have seen many a junk yard. He was a good Dad. I wish I remembered more of his lessons.
THT'S A NICE JUNKYARD ! CARS ARE IN GRAVEL .HERE WHERE I LIVE THE JUNKERS ARE IN WEEDS KNEE HIGH .YOU HAVE TO WATCH OUT FOR SNAKES AND OTHER CRITTERS .
Oh my gosh, an inventory list with vehicles in named rows and columns! We don't have near as many junk yards as we once had but there still are a couple of "pick n pulls". The assembly consists of the "bucket" (the back part of the light) and the "lens". Back in the early 1980's, a rear tail light assembly for my Audi was $300 new, $150 used from a junk yard. New head light assemblies for a lot of vehicles run about $200 and up; if you can find them for your vehicle.
I know what you mean, I’m pretty territorial about my tools too😂. If my old man needs to use mine, I need to either watch him put it where it belongs or have him put it in my hand when he’s done using whatever. Otherwise, I know it’s a good possibility I won’t find it again in this life lol
If you think this is scary, you should sail by the Mothball Fleet in a small boat. Spoooky! The windows of the ships look like big dead eyes staring down at you. My skin always breaks out in goosebumps until I get past them.
I enjoyed your walk too. I’ve been to a car junk yard with my hubby too. And like you , i enjoy looking inside the cars too. But have no idea what I’m looking at. Lol lol lol
You made me laugh with your comment about Joe saying ink pen. My ex-husband said ink pen and I thought that funny too. Of course, he had to specify ink pen because there was no way to distinguish the difference between how he said pen and pin. 😂 He thought saying them differently was somehow hilarious. His family was from Southern Illinois.

Fresh air, exercise, and good company....sounds like a great day!
Wow that's the nicest junkyard I've ever seen ! All in order. Clean rock to walk on .
That actually looks like a lot of fun to me, too! I love when yall go on adventures!
Darlene, what a great adventure you had with Joe today. Thanks for my dose of Rocket. I love seeing him.
Such a fun video! I agree, we need more of Joe and Darlene’s Marvelous Adventures, Also Starring Rocket! ❤

That was a nice little ride, glad to see you 3 together!
I remember going with a boyfriend my first time, and was amazed too. Freaking about the wrecked cars. Loved looking inside the cars too

I laughed so hard when you yoinked your screwdriver back out of Joe's pocket! lol
My ex husband always went to the junk yard for our car parts. It's a heck of a lot cheaper than buying brand new.
Love these videos of "Darlene and Joe go on another adventure".
Auto boneyard 😅. That’s where my brother learned his welding skills. Cool place

Looks like fun. They're called Pic-a-Part where I live.
That's a great time for me! I may just come to visit just for that junk yard!
You're out having big adventures. How fun for you guys.
I never thought I’d see the day you’d bleep words out! Now I really want to know what Joe said! Had to be really good! 😂😂😂
It's not words that I bleeped out but his playful insinuations, lol
I've been to a place like that. ☺️ It was fun! Looking for a headlight and tires. Cheaper than buying new.
Glad Jo found what he was looking for. What's really fun is going to the dump!!!

I LOL-ed so hard when you slipped that screwdriver out of his pocket 😂😅
Darlene! I was so convinced you had a hand tattoo in the intro I had to re-watch it a couple times to check 😂 thought you’d gone hardcore rocker 🎸
That’s a well organized junk yard. Last one I was in was a mess and muddy
The best part:
Darlene: “I’m surprised nobody told me to stop recording”
Joe: “Nobody gives a shit”
😂😂😂😂😂 love this!!! 😂😂😂😂😂
I forgot all about that! Too funny!
Geezem Darlene. You are braver than I. I’d be looking all around for those long scary noodles. Have a great day.

Aww..wish I could hear what he said....I bet it was fucken hilarious.
It was nasty and I loved it, lol.
Did you trim your hair? It looks so cute!!
Hey Darlene, Joe forgot a flipping piece!! Just kidding!
You can use toothpaste to clean the lens makes it like new.
I thought Darlene you had got a tattoo for a second 😂🙏🏼
Too funny!
The first time I saw a car junk yard. Omg. I thought it was so weird too. A cemetery for cars. Sort of sad.
That a better junkyard then we have in Ohio
Hi, sweet Rocket man ❤ Y'all be safe with all the crazy road rage asses out there.
