Man I remember helping my dad and he would always use the foam floats which barely lasted a month or two Grabbed one of the red trox floats and it’s easily lasted me over a year!
Me too, only thing I hate about the platinum is when you Knick them a little bit it drags a line of grout with it…but they do last a long time…my old year old platinum does better than a new blue troxxel
I'm interested in check one out. However Marshalltowns blue handle float has been my go to from small-town bathrooms to million dollar penthouses with 9 bathrooms.
Only float I use good float. Will be getting the skilled labor isn't cheap . Cheap labor isn't skilled. I told this to one of my customers one time when he wanted me to do the job at half the price. And he didn't like that lol. Believe me not he got some other so call installer to do the job and messed it all up. And he ended up calling me back to fix everything lol. But trying to fix someone else's mess up ends up being same price or more. He ended up spending twice as much and I still tried my best to lower the price. Funny huh.hope you have a medium in that shirt it's a must get.
Been using the standard trox urethane float to do tile display boards in the store for about the last month, (since your previous float comparo turned me on to them) wouldn't trade it for a custom/superior brand gum float ever. Even working on getting the boss to stock trox floats!! Would love a skilled labor shirt, but can't do white, any chance of adding a blk version?
I’ve used the troxell epoxy float before then the red urethane float for years I’ve used those the thing about the blue floats is the plastic backing is after a year or so they break now I use red urethane superior float and i like it been using it for 2 years now works the same as the troxell just the plastic cracking turned me away from them tbh the red urethane troxell float hands down is there best , I’ve used marshaltown floats don’t like how easy they bend when left in a bucket , Home Depot floats not very good, platinum floats made by superior as well are long and heavy used one once and extremely uncomfortable and overpriced
@@LandbergTileTV thats good stuff. I used the mapei flexcolor cq recently a few times. Premixed. Bad experience. Not sure if youve tried it? It scratched the surface of tiles and immediately dries to surface in less than a minute while the joints stays soft for hours. Leaves terrible haze thats pretty hard to remove. If you havent tried it I would avoid it
Two years later still using red troxell. Love how easy it is to clean. Saves time and $$

I've been using the Marshalltown grout float for 40 years
Used many floats over my 40 years of tiling full time and these are definitely the best I ever used
Platinum Grout float!#1 all I ever use.
