Thank you so much for this video! I tried out a few of the techniques featured here and it upped my pumpkin carving tremendously! Your tools and tips were spot on! A great artist AND a great teacher! Thanks!
I learned a lot from this, adapting it to my wood carving, chips were flying before the video was over. You're a heck of an artist. Thanks for the tips and inspiration. It goes without saying, but you have a new sub!
Now that is just plain wicked. I'm going to try carving this way next year. You're so talented and such an inspiration. Keep doing you and stay wicked darlin. 👻 🎃 👻 🎃
That is AWESOME!! You make it look easy! The paint gives it a great touch, but it even looks wicked without it! LOVE LOVE LOVE this - now I have to try it! Thank you!!!
This is AWESOME!!! I know that I need to add to my tool list. I did like the added touch of Your airbrushing with paint!!! It really was the final finishing touch to Your AWESOME PUMPKIN!! I am sure that I will not be able to create a sculptured piece as nice as Your's but I am dang sure going to try to make something a little cool. Thank You for sharing Your talents with Us. 😊❤️🎃👍🏼
"only took me 2 an a half hours because i had to move the cameras around" Boi that would take me 2 an a half weeks just to get anything that looks like a non standard pumpkin face!
Thanks for sharing, was actually wondering the time frame without cameras and tools to use...I have not had any experience but I am artistically inclined, thanks again for sharing one of your talents (not a talent but, you know)
Super AWESOME Sculpting. A work of ART! Excellent Job! Subscribed, liked & shared. Thank you for sharing your fun creative videos. Take care, Safe, and Happy Halloween. :D
Kris tru I usually don’t unless I need to add lighting or it can help them not degrading as quickly. Most times I just keep em till Halloween then toss them out
Thanks for the video but plz next time show the tools u use closer I did it but with a regular knife of course didnt came out like urs but is pretty good thank you.
Not a tutorial if you're going to speed blast through all of it. At least cut to different phases of the process at normal speed, explain what you did and speed blast through the rest. One thing that comes across often when doing pumpkins you didn't address was grain direction. What to do when carving one way and you get a bunch of fibrous meat that disrupts the smoothness of the surface.
I might try sculpting a pumpkin this year.
it's pretty fun, also check out my foam pumpkin mimic video. If you go that way it won't rot so you can use it year after year

"only took me 2 an a half hours because i had to move the cameras around" Boi that would take me 2 an a half weeks just to get anything that looks like a non standard pumpkin face!
Ha! Thanks, just takes practice :)

Kayla Murphy Thank You!

Thanks for sharing, was actually wondering the time frame without cameras and tools to use...I have not had any experience but I am artistically inclined, thanks again for sharing one of your talents
(not a talent but, you know)
Thanks! I can usually sculpt a pumpkin in 2-3 hours
Did it work for anyone else. I'm going to try it, and I'm good at carving but want to try sculpting.
Yeah lots of people have tried this since I posted it a couple years ago! Good luck and have fun 👍
it's great!. excellent jobs! 👍
Alexander uribe Thank you!
I think we both have a different idea of "simple"
Ha! 🤣 That may be but in my defense compared to the other pumpkins I’ve sculpted this was the simplest of the group 👍
What all did you use to pigment your pumpkin? I want to add some color for depth but wonder if the preservation bleach will undo my colors?
createx airbrush paints specifically the opaque versions
How does the needle tool gauge depth of the pumpkin flesh if you do not remove the top to see inside? Is there a technique I'm missing?
You’re pushing the tool in until you don’t have any resistance. Then you know you’re in the cavity.
Super AWESOME Sculpting. A work of ART! Excellent Job! Subscribed, liked & shared. Thank you for sharing your fun creative videos. Take care, Safe, and Happy Halloween. :D
1SixScaleCrafter Thank You!!!
Did you hollow out the inside of the pumpkin and if so did you do it thru the bottom?
Kris tru I didn’t hollow this one but I did two years ago. I cut a hole in the back then put it back in place with toothpicks
Is it necessary to hollow them out or doesn't really need to be done? Sorry first time attempting to sculpt
Kris tru I usually don’t unless I need to add lighting or it can help them not degrading as quickly. Most times I just keep em till Halloween then toss them out
"This looks pretty good..." NO sir... it 🤬 AMAZING... Thank for the video... it helped alot. Happy 🎃 👻 🎃 Halloween
Thank you very much I’m glad it helped 👍
What is the first tool you use to shave the skin off the pumpkin?
Miles lillard just a standard clay carving tool. You can buy a full kit at most art stores 👍
have you tried vacuum forming a half pumpkin sculpt? seems like it would work quiet well :p
vfxforge no I haven’t might look into it next year!
Thats really beautiful! A nice different direction from the usual human face sculpts! Anybody know the names to these songs, btw?
Thanks for the video but plz next time show the tools u use closer I did it but with a regular knife of course didnt came out like urs but is pretty good thank you.
I used a bunch of clay sculpting tools check out the other 2 videos on the channel
Awesome work with exquisite detail... but theres is one thing u might want to change- the word "simple" in video title lol
Thank you!
gutted thought you were making it out of foam :)
Paul Pethers Hmmm maybe next year!
@@SKSProps would have had a wicked paint job
Pumpkin carving is hard
It just takes practice 🙌
Not a tutorial if you're going to speed blast through all of it. At least cut to different phases of the process at normal speed, explain what you did and speed blast through the rest. One thing that comes across often when doing pumpkins you didn't address was grain direction. Thanks for being a fan! This was one of my first videos and I've learned a lot since then I plan on making a new one this year with voice over
Bruh, if you can't pick things up by watching, someone explaining every little detail ain't gonna do you much better.
anyone else get the grinch vibes?
It looks crazy and unsettling.
Wayne Bakken Thanks man!
You carve pumpkins
I eat the seeds
Just roast them first
Can you please make the new Hellboy right hand of doom from the Hellboy 2019 movie With Floor mats and minimal tools
Notice me
directed _cosplay maybe there will be a ton of new foam videos in 2019!!!
I wonder if someone sculpted a Freddy Kruger face on a pumpkin
I do wonder what the percent mixture is for the water and bleach
HD Brony about 60 40 bleach to water
@@SKSProps Thanks!
SKSKSKSKSKSprops
Love that
Thanks!
