@@thalmoragent9344 I take it you didn't read the second or third book. I really hope people flock to the cinemas to see this masterpiece. Showing the studios that visionary directors with free reign will pull in the numbers and bring people back to the cinemas.
When I saw Austin I thought he is literally Feyd, and now I'm sure Bautista also will deliver Rabban perfectly(he didn't get a chance to show Rabban 's really evil side in Part One) The face on the character poster and now this, it is literally Rabban from the book(s)
Went to see this yesterday best decision I ever made, this is why we love the movies but there are once in a generation films that come out we'll be talking about for decades to come just like Star Wars back in the '70s and I love my unlimited card and my mum's got one for our local cinema we go once or sometimes twice a week we love the cinema :)
i find it stupid, just because you were the leader across the road on the same planet, mean you have the right to rule over the resistance.... that's reall bullshit way of thinking, he just deserves to be part of the stuff... not the leader... if someone has explanation of why this guy lead all the group in DUne 2 i would appreciate
Seriously? He leads because they all believe he is the Messiah born to lead them to victory against the Harkonnen and the Empire. The reason for this belief is thousands of years of manipulation by the Bene Gesserit creating a religion which Paul fits into. That's why he leads the resistance. Read the book.
I get where this is coming from, but the Lisan Al Gahib (the "savior" of the Fremen) literally means "voice from the outer world". So at least for the Dune worldview it makes sense. But I get where this is coming from, since it's like how the white character becomes the leader of an indigenous tribe and leads them to victory (like the Last Samurai with Tom Cruise). Your point is one of many dilemmas Paul Atreides (the main protagonist of the movie) faces throughout the movie, so check out Dune 2!
I'm sorry, but I already know that it will be a typical Hollywood movie with effects and nothing else. I'm currently watching Dune from 1984 again. The extended version is and will always be the best. Kyle played Paul brilliantly, as did the rest of the cast, and the fact that I keep coming back to this film is proof of that. I watched part one of 2021 once and it doesn't interest me. The same will happen with part two. Lots of screaming. Long dialogues. And all Timothy does is scream. Part two will be worse than the first. It's not enough to just create results. What matters are actors, and the best ones were and will be from the 20th century. current youth are amateurs who get roles for their looks and that's it😮
The 2012 Spicediver Alternate cut of Dune 1984 is probably the best edit that gets it closest to the book, which I had read back in 1983, so I knew & understood the story in the 1984 movie when I saw it in the theaters back then. I know that Walken will be the Emperor in Dune 202x, but I was hoping that Kyle MacLachlan would have become the Emperor instead, making him symbolically come back full circle as both Emperor (Paul) in the 1st film adaptation & now as Emperor (Shaddam) in this 3rd adaptation, since Kyle himself has gotten old, gray-haired & seasoned as an actor. One day, 3-5 decades from now, there will be another Dune movie adaptation & then another one decades after that & then another & so on & so forth. 02/23/24
I love the depiction of the Harkonnens in Villenueves Dune.
Me too!
