@@Sims.4.Isla. don’t even get me started😂
I unironically think Haley’s one of the smartest characters in the show. Not necessarily book smart but she’s incredibly inventive
It's sorta like penny from tbbt who was actual glue of the group
People have different types of intelligence. But every human is smart in one way or another
Street smarts
@@kevinsaviro2708 No, not every human is smart “one way or another” lmao
@@natalier4053 Uhh but they are though? People excel at different things.
Hailey's breakdown in the car is so underrated
Sarah Hyland's specialty has to be the meltdown. I just saw an SVU episode where she delivers possibly the best perp meltdown in 23 seasons of the show
@@Ramboost007 she's incredibly hyper. Her and Gloria are the two most hyper characters on the show, with Alex and Claire following.
Haley telling Andy that he is the first man he loved is also underrated like her eyes after saying that ......
Iknrr
She’s the perfect example of how a selfish, shallow person can also be charming and lovable. Sarah was perfect for the role.. she killed it.
she isn't selfish at all . I mean we all are a little selfish
@@ride9581 yeah but she can keep shallow
yeah, but she does look like a cartoon lamb.
@@ride9581i am the opposite of selfish which is actually a miserable thing to be 🤣
It’s because even though she was shallow at times she had times of humanities
After that I think Haley is my favourite character. So sassy but also sweet, also there was some real character growth. She's honestly underrated
not underrated in modern family but as a sitcom character sure
agree but I kinda hated her ending tbh :/
@@sameehaxo how come? Like her being pregnant or how she was as a person
@@horrorwhoree not that she got pregnant I just think she broke out of her "dumb" girl stereotype the time she was with Andy and she showed that she had a lot more to her than just some girl who loves to shop but then she got back with Dylan and got pregnant which just reinforced her stereotype and brought us back to s1. She was still great i just wish the writers incorporated more of her growth in the ending
@@sameehaxo trueee like i thought she gonna start her bad bitch girl boss era and start to finally mature and start a career or something like that but then she stuck at home for 9 months 🥲
Edit: its sad that her ending is somewhat similar to clair's life its not like its bad but i feel like haley could have gotten a nicer ending
I'm not embarrassed to say I've done the "I'M NOT GOING ANYWHERE!" bit to myself before every job interview. 😂

She's grown too much to be back together with Dylan😭
IKR?
I AGRREEEEEE
Yup
no fr
I feel like Dylan matured a lot. He went from being in a band to becoming a whole nurse. I’d rather she ended up with Dylan than Andy because Andy was always gonna chose Beth.
Haley is the best character in the show. Hands down. She is smart in her own way, pretty, and ICONIC
i love every character only manny is like too mature tbh would’ve loved to see him actually being more of a kid like luke literally twin but diff moms
frr
@@brnsatt yeah but that’s what gives him a unique personality and lots of old grandpa jokes constantly getting called a grandpa I like that he’s unique and Luke is a bit more boring I love Luke tho but just less of a personality
I think hailey and lily
@@lizxiia3442 well some find dad jokes funny for me personally would've love to see manny be more of a kid, but overall modern family is the best series my 12th time watching it over and over
My favorite thing about Haley is her commitment to having a better relationship with Alex
Yes older sister things 💜
What she's always making fun of her how is she committed lol
@@frozenlama23 after her 18th birthday they slowly start to shift towards each other. In the later seasons they share secrets, give advice to each other, and they become good sisters.
Yup, she always rescue Alex before she's about to commit a social suicide. She always taught her to make friends, go out, dont be judgy and don't be a social outcast. She even stopped her from changing her roommate in college.
the “im not going anywhere” scene made me cry when i first saw it, she’s such a good actress
‘A baby with two hearts *gasp* I didn’t know I was pregnant when I ate that brownie.’
Funniest shit ever
she's such a great comedic acress

Actress*
Nop
To think that Sarah Hyland, who played the character of Haley Dunphy, suffered chronic pain throughout her time on Modern Family, but never let it show.
I didn’t know about any of this until after the show ended, and rewatching it now does hit different when realising what she had to go through. Even more comforting is that she was surrounded by good people in this show. I know Julie Bowen (Claire) was her rock through and through.
So the actress has an ilness?
Omg what its called?
@@robotzombie4754 She had two kidney transplants.
@@Stacy55ish omg,how did that happened to her? Shes pretty young for such a hard predicament
@@robotzombie4754 Yeah, she has an issue with her kidneys since childhood, I think
The show did her so wrong. I remember how much growth she had as a person and they condemn her to surprise pregnancy.
The pregnancy kinda did help her grow and realize what she wanted in life
I love her little family ♥️
But pregnancy is what made her finally responsible.. In last thanksgiving episode even she said while being surprise by on her own and says " what a beautiful person i have become" ...when she decides to prepare thanksgiving food to return favour to her parents as they helped her so much with her twins
And even generally she was more mature in last 2 seasons ..but she didn't become boring unlike season6 days ..that was the main reason in season 8-9 how writers made haley the original haley
the pregnancy was okay, getting together with dylan is bullshit
Could have been worse, she could have been indoctrinated with Woke and morphed into a humourless social justice warrior, like what happened to my younger sister. We used to have fun, now my sister and her “man” are best avoided, they recently made my 73 year old mother cry by ranting at her for enjoying the sitcom “Friends”, she thought they were joking which enraged them more
That emotional breakdown in the car was funny 🤣
And I love how she says "I'm not going anywhere!" in 3 tones with 3 completely different meanings🔥
what are they ?
Hard to imagine she was seriously ill for much of this, going through kidney dialysis.
She's so strong
To say nothing about enduring an abusive relationship.
@@NJGuy1973fortunately, she had Julie help her through it.
Her face while speaking to Alex at 8:05 lmao 😂😂😂
Haley isn’t book smart but she’s witty and that’s just as valuable in this life
No. Read a book.
I am book smart but not witty, and I couldn't agree more. I wish I was witty sometimes, it would have gotten me out of many problems
Alex and Haley's relationship is actually goals
It’s like seeing Daphne and Velma as sisters or seeing DJ and Stephanie switch personalities.
“What? She’s awesome, it’s confusing … “
@Blue season 8 episode 20
The end scene when Haley’s laptop cam was live and caught her singing into the blow dryer then started choking/coughing is one of the best Haley moments ever lmaooo!!
🪦💀🪦
I feel the “I’m not going anywhere” meltdown so freaking hard … I’m still mad they gave a Haley so much growth and then ruined by having her settle down and have kids with Dylan
Having kids is fine..but i really wished she ended up with Andy
The kids ending is just
Sad
The kids ending is honestly sad because it makes it out like you can either have a career or have kids as if they're mutually exclusive
Sarah is such a natural in the role of Haley. She deserves more success after MF. I hope she continues with her acting career. "Im not going anywhere" is my favourite scene in the whole show.
Haley's excitable, hyper personality is what gives her character its charm.
haley's ditzy but she's also so nice to everyone. especially alex in spite of all the banter
I’ve seen the whole modern family and the “IM NOT GOING ANYWHEEEEERE” got me
The way she was randomly kissing that tutor boy on the couch and her mom was like ‘Haley!’ Poor Claire didn’t expect anything else 😆

It’s clear how Sarah Hyland grew as an actor, the breakdown in her car around 4:00 was really good 🤣
" A baby with 2 hearts...I didnt know I was pregnant when I ate that brownie, I didnt"
Classic!!!
I love how lily says “idk, something about shoes prolly” lol
8:14 I focused on the hat and what he was saying, but for once I reached the same conclusion as Hayley.
‘because we feel sorry for you, cause’ books are your friends’ 😂😂
Haley in the car screaming by herself hit me hard
“A baby with two hearts!?” i forgot that completely that was hilarious
Only seen clips of Modern Family here and there...but this is the perfect example of how opposite an actor is from their character.
Trying to imagine what she went through whilst filming this...just incredible.
"Classy start to a classy lady."
That was a tactical nuke of a zinger!
Her acting on 4:11, its amazing 💚
that “do you hate me?” was really strong. amazing acting
She’s actually super smart

Her character development was one of my favourites of everyone on the show.
I have watched this like twenty times and I still love it😃😂

honestly, Haley's character development was amazing
I always loved Haley as a sister to Alex. She was always there when their parents treated her as a middle child !

It makes me feel as though I'm part of a family. My family disowned me.
I know the video is about Haley but the visual gag with opening the car door and then it immediately closing was absolutely hilarious
Wait that was on purpose?

“A baby with two hearts” 😭😭😭😭😭
2:22 never EVER let anyone cross their legs in the passenger seat of a car. Doing that risks devastating leg and hip injuries in the event of a head on collision.

4:28 what a actress.
Sarah hyland
not haley's line in the video but claire being like "the only person scared by that costume is ME" made me laugh too much 😂😂😂
This is a Sarah Hyland Appreciation Video
I recently saw the episode about her computer camera being on, where earlier in the episode the song Caribbean Queen was playing at Mitch and Cams for like a second and I didn’t expect to hear her singing at the end lmao super funny
The Dunphy’s really deserve a spin off
They’re hilarious
we love haley dunphy
sarah suffered a lot lot of her medical isues (she had a kidney transplant that failed ,again she did a transplant) played the character gracefully!
That car scene was her transition to being a likeable character for me
“Because we feel sorry for you because books are your friends”
So I finally binge watched the show and decided that Haley is my favorite character she’s just so charismatic without even trying.
I never saw the bit where they start to watch the video and Claire immediately shuts it and says she's grounded, what episode is this ? 🤔
it’s an extra & they’re watching dylan’s music video : ) it’s on youtube though ua-cam.com/video/TcmuseErtbo/v-deo.html

8:34 dear god
I get what Hayley talked about everyone having stuff. Too bad all her examples are all her fault. She chose not to study, she chose not to care, she chose to be chasing after boys and anything else but trying to look to her future. Because...she as shallow and popular and didn't think anything else matter. So, in a way, Alex was kind of right.
Totally agree.
@AZBYCX totally agree with you. People are smart in different ways, just happened that Alex is smart the way school wanted her to be smart.
She might have chosen the wrong examples but she did go through some crappy stuff since everyone including Alex joked about her having ED and Claire never helped her do better, she only told her off.
things that "matter" is pretty subjective. i definitely would've chosen to live a bit more like hayley if i could go back. being pressured by my studies was unhealthy and made me more stressed than happy and i can't even confidently say it was all worth it.
@AZBYCX Actually, If I'm not wrong Alex is good at school becuase it the only thing she has... Haley and Claire have a special connection so do Luke and Phil, that's why Alex tries to excel, so people would look at her. Haley is social by nature, but with time learns the importance of education, even if she doesn't finnish college. Honestly, both characters are so well written, constantly balancing each other, Haley lears to be more responsible and Alex ends having a gap year working as a barista and made friends.
Sarah Hyland was 19 when she started playing Haley when she was 15, so she didn't really look like she was aging. Now she's 33 but physically she doesn't look like it.
1:07-1:12 This was great character development for Haley. She was spot on, everyone has their problems or 'stuff'
No character in this show, has been dunked on more than Hailey.
Dylan's return and her sudden pregnancy, cemented my theory. The writers decided to make her a 'failure'. It felt like she became dumber and less independent, every passing episode of the last two seasons.
It was hard to watch. Because beforehand, Hailey's growth was remarkable and I thought she would finally escape the 'peaked in highschool' stereotype.
If anyone, the failure should have been Luke. Who somehow, magically found the time to become college material, while hitting on every woman in sight and running errands at the country club.
Sooooo true #justiceforhaleyandalexdunphy
That's stupid af, why would "failure" mean getting pregnant? If anything her life just kinda mirrored her mom, getting pregnant young and thrown into parenthood. Her character still matured immensely and she always stayed true to herself.
No. Haley was a complete bitch to her sister most of the time, humiliating her and everybody calling it 'humor'; being shallow, vain, futile and stereotyped. She deserved to be let down 🫠
@@silverysnowfox uh, yes. Getting pregnant in your early 20’s with a high school boyfriend without a degree, a real job, accomplishments, no life experiences while still living with your parents is definitely a failure.
The country club teached him stuff, the old folks there love to give unsolicited advices.
