That's funny. I just got done watching the other video with the smart Mexican guy. He knows his shit. I haven't pulled codes from mine yet, but around 4th gear it will just go neutral. It's intermittent and my thought is if 4th were completely gone mechanically, it wouldn't be intermittent. I haven't torn mine apart yet, but I can imagine it'll be a similar issue. I've seen several videos of these, to understand this may be a common issue. Thanks for the vid, man.

King 250sx happy to help. If your remotely mechanical and can or know someone who can solder its a easy fit once you know whats wrong. Mines been running fine ever since.

I had to solder mine 3 different times in one week.. kept breaking used solder with lead.
Finally fix mine by building up the solder to the top of cover and added strands of wire.
Broke at 300k rough miles, vehicle was really beat on, 4x4,

I got p1764 on a 2005 armada v8 and it was pretty much the same problem. I soldered it back together and car works fine. Hopefully my solder holds for a while 🤞

How long did your transmission last after fixing this problem?

Hey Mate, how did you open the TCM? I've removed mine from the valve cover and can't open it.

I managed to open it. you have to start on the solenoid connection side and work your way around.
