1:20 to 1:32 I honestly cried tears of joy when Marty made it home, against all odds. Doc and Marty have a priceless and deep friendship. 2:34 Doc’s shock to see Marty again so soon is understandable, under the circumstances.
Sam Sticka I think that’s because they had no plans to do any sequels for a while and therefore had to refilm the scene when they made Parts II and III.
@@danielgraham1082 probably because in 2 and 3 Marty and Doc returned from 2015 to 1985 and messed around with certain events for a bit, including Doc bumping into himself, which he said was huge no-no. That's probably what caused a small distortion. At least space-time continuum didn't collapse
DOC: Aaahhh MARTY: Ok ok relax doc it's me it's Marty DOC: No it can't be I just sent you back to the future. MARTY: Yeah I know you sent me back to the future doc but im back im back from the future...............DOC: GREAT SCOTT.
That's cool, to see all three moments side by side and see how they compare! I knew that Doc's return to camera from between the fire trails in Part II/III was different that it was in Part I, but it's interesting to see just how different. And to see what was omitted and what was kept between various versions of the scene.
Note that they were careful to omit Marty completely from the BTTF II version - only the car is seen. Probably to avoid confusion, as immediately prior (in the film) we'd just scene Marty receive the letter from the Western Union officer.
I think you’re correct. It’s possible, (however unlikely) that some fans may have confused “past” Marty with “present” Marty. That is, if they showed “past” Marty in the DeLorean for the Clock Tower run switching from “present” Marty reading the letter and saying “there’s only one man who can help me”. The point is, I believe you make perfect sense.
Any theories why Part II adds extra celebratory screams from Doc? I wonder if running into '85 Doc gave him extra enthusiasm, and perhaps threw off the timeline a little bit. Think of it like watching baseball. If a pitcher and batter face each other two at-bats in a row, what are the odds of it unfolding the exact same way both times. The pitcher's pace may be different, the batter will likely swing at different things. So E & E's chat could have potentially changed the flow of Doc's evening. Probably not big stuff but minor details here and there.
Nah it’s just because they had to reshoot the scene and couldn’t get it exactly the same. Heck, even the Johnny B. Goode scene gets a whole extra solo.
@@FKMDC It seems like an easy fix to remove it though, and '55 Doc is unaware what's about to happen, so I look at it as the faintest difference makes him unknowingly change his behavior. Maybe the conversation with older Doc adds to his faith in their weather experiment and he doesn't tear up the letter, thus an extra level of enthusiasm that it worked.
In part 2 & 3, The lamp posts don't make the electrifying sound (instantly after the DeLorean vanishes), and there are 2 additional sounds when lighting flexes last 2 times (a second before burning up)
Safety Time Machine 1. Automatic door locked. 2. Goes invisible. 3. Moves airplanes over it. 4. Has camera outside/TV inside so time traveller only watchs.
1955 Doc seems to miss the point that a time machine like the one he invented can let anyone redo a date more than once. The idea of the latest scenes in Part II was to redo a date that happened in the original Back to the Future, and November 12, 1955 was probably chosen since that scene demonstrates the meaning of the title of the original movie.
@@seanagulan9481 I can understand that point, BUT 1955 Marty that came from 1985A already knew EXACTLY where Doc would be regardless. I think they just wanted to add more excitement to Doc, but something about the Part 1 victory just comes off as more authentic surprise and shock of success than 2 & 3

Ronstar308 no we would’ve known
Joey Taylor I didn’t until I saw that mentioned on a wiki about recurring gags in this trilogy.

unlikely to confuse the two as they are wearing slightly different clothes and people seeing the second likely saw the first
Part II and III were probably shot once and II with Marty trying to revive Doc just continued while III just ended as Doc fainted.
Part 2 ended with Doc being unconscious while part 3 continues after that
@@SMPandanic wrong. Part III ends(cuts to black screen with title sequence), while Part II continues the scene after he faints

Kevin Pennell I read this and was confused on how he could’ve met 85 Doc then I remembered that scene
Or maybe,
They reshot it because of part 2 Marty popping up
@@FKMDC Both are valid.
After all, Marty in a jacket isn't on the stage light rails in BTTF's shots... 😂 😉

Imagine an edit for Part 1 that transitions into the end of Part 2 during this scene.
imagined if they ended part one as marty came back lmaoooo
Great work, thanks! I've always wanted to see Doc's post scene from I and II side by side.

i can't even tell for sure if they re-shot all the scenes or just parts.
Parts
(whispers): Great Scott.
I never realized how different parts II and III are. I thought it was exactly the same but I guess I was wrong
02:08 Yeeeeeaah!!!
0:49 that part is in back to the future 3
Obviously they have reused the same footage from the first movie for the others.
well yes. it's the same event after all
I like Doc’s scream even more from Part 1, I don’t get why it was changed with 2 and 3
