Part 1: • Oschino on Growing Up ...
--------
Oschino accused Jay-Z of lifting a track from Philly rap group Naam Brigade to create "All I Need." He also mentioned Jay-Z's refusal to clear a song for Omillio Sparks, contrasting it with his quicker clearance for Cassidy and Swizz Beatz. He concluded, questioning the ethics of taking and redoing another artist's song without proper acknowledgment, stirring controversy in the hip-hop community.
Beenie Segal said, "I've seen Jay take whole songs. Hear your shit, and be like, Nah, that's my song."

Jay-Z is a wise student of the 48 laws of power.
"Take credit for other people's hard work" is one of the laws.
He did it to Camp Lo for a large chunk of Reasonable Doubt, and beat them to market.
Didn’t dame say it too?
The Man stole Young Chris whole style and reinvented himself
Yup he started calling him self Yung …Yung hova
He stole jazz o name and style also smh
I keep telling ppl this. It’s an interview where he admitted and said verbatim “We brothers and brothers borrow shit from each other all the time.”

Gate keepers shading others should be a subject studied in school
It has been studied. It's nothing more than insecurity.
It's like going to a job, and a person who is considered great won't train you, show you the wrong way, or watch you mess up and won't say anything. On some level they see you as competition. They're afraid that you can be just as good as them or better. If that happened they'll feel like you diminished them in their own mind even though what you do has nothing to with him as a person
*Jay was notorious for taking songs from smaller artists. He took "Feelin It" from Campo Lo and he took "Never Change" from Payroll. Both originals are on UA-cam.*
No he didn't take feelin it. Ski(the producer) gave it to both. He made a reference track that's why they both have similar cadences.
Indeed.

did Jay-Z really “steal” All I Need tho?… AFAIK he got the beat from Naam Brigade’s producer who was also producing for them & had him touch it up. He liked the concept so he wrote his own lyrics with his own flow based around the words “All I Need”
(the producer is fully credited on the album because he produced both artists versions, of course Naam Brigade didn’t get credit for a word simple phrase concept lol)

That 1 song would have changes Sparks life.
It was his song. Jay only used his hook. What be wrong with people?
@@michaelphillips9933 Maybe you’re not understanding. The part Jay used - the hook comes from Rick James originally. Sparks didn’t come up with those lyrics even on his own version. The most he could get is a check for the feature or performing it at shows.
@@OzonebxGaming He paid him for the feature. Sparks can only get paid for performing the vocals on the track but not the lyrics on the hook cause they’re not his. That’s why Rick James is credited in the booklet.
@lowkeyloki8832 the entire structure of the song was Sparks, including the hook. He took the song but let Sparks stay on the hook. But it's not a song without Sparks creating it. That's why he said give Sparks a percentage....or get a verse on Spark's original.

Facts
Sparks didn’t even write the hook on give it to me lol. He sampled the chorus
They didn't save Jay from Nas. They wasn't on the Blueprint, Blueprint 2 or the The Black Album. Jay did Jay. But that's the problem.
It’s not just the raps. SP and their affiliates backed Jay up while moving around the streets. Basically Jay had a big crew, and the crew’s crews, while Nas only had a couple of people.
They definitely saved Jay. When they were doing the disses at Hot 97 going at Nas and the Lox it was epic. I remember having the mixtape back in the days. I think is was about an hour long of straight heat just State Property going at all of them. That's what really put them on the map outside of Philly.
