And it seems the 3DS version takes place before the Wii U version, since it shows him just becoming a cop. The Wii U version starts two years after he was sent away from LEGO City. The Graphics on the Wii U version aren't the jaggedly textured ones, so kudos on that.
Lego City Undercover on Wii U is fabulous - been playing it since the game shop with my preorder opened this morning. Tempted to pick up a 3DS just to play Chase Begins. Well, that and Mario Kart/3D World/Bros 2 etc ;)
Not liking the framerate drops, but I am excited by the prospect of an open-world 3D game on my 3DS. Looking forward to hearing more about this in the future.
I think Vita and Sony fans comment on more of Nintendo videos than the so called "Nintendo fan boys" which I like to call genuine gamers who don't judge games purely on graphics. I would rather be named a Nintendo fan boy and play zelda than play on a console with multiple generic games. But truthfully I like all consoles and people need to stop getting all bummy about it. Also, Hate comments will be ignored.

There are new screenshots of this game, just search them on Google images. You will see from the map on the bottom screen that you have mission markers. In one of the pictures, the car drives to the other direction. Don't worry, it will surely have free roam.
Looking for clues that this is free roam. Most of the time, you see a counter of objects on top of the screen. But at 1:55 you see nothing. You also see a blue marker like a mission marker. So I think it is a free roam game. The first good free roam game for the 3ds.
This is still in development, remember how far the wiiu one has come, it looks truly next gen now. This looks great but will likely be a simpler game than its wiiu counterpart
They have like two Tom Clancy games for the 3DS, as well as Metal Gear Solid: Snake Eater, two Resident Evil games, D.O.A.: Dimensions, Super Street Fighter IV 3D Edition, and Tekken 3D Prime Edition
This looks great! :D I wanted to get the WiiU version but, I don't have a WiiU. so this is the next best thing for me. And I also, I have to give it to them for making an open world game on the 3DS. This could possibly pave the way for more creative open world games on the 3DS. So yeah, picking this up when it comes out! :D

I'm not a big fan of lego games , but I'm SO gonna buy this one! Free-roaming in a big city , drive cars , fly planes , helicopters...... It's gonna feel a little bit like playing a LEGO GTA game on a handheld console. xD (And also on 3D!)

Well you have a point about the graphics, they are ok but it would look much better on Vita. I'm not sure why so many 3DS owners hate Vita, i own both handhelds and they are both very good. Vita just needs more games, i already know the browser is much better on it than the 3DS's though and the youtube app is great. Vita is more comfortable to hold, only thing i hate about 3DS really is it's slidepad kind of slips on the thumb at times, too bad it doesn't have that much grip.
Pretty impressive for an open world game on 3DS. Can't wait to see what a more impressive studio such as Monolithsoft can do with an open world 3DS game.
well for one increase resolution would add a sharpness and a brighter tint to 3ds games on the portable. the resolution its at is acceptable but you still see jags. my point is if it didn't have the 3d it would of been able to rely on the resolution it has. a higher resolution hides jaggies better.
Whether something is a sequel or not has nothing to do with when it came out. It has to do with where the story chronologically fits within the series. Since the 3DS one takes place before the Wii U one, the Wii U one is a sequel. Just like how A New Hope is a sequel to Revenge of the Sith even though A New Hope came out 28 years before it.
Defo buying both! Don't care if they both get a 3/10 reviews , I'm supporting Nintendo's exclusive Lego games :) I see the 3DS game being a 7.5 and the Wiiu game a 9.0 :D
That's fine if it was a port, but these are two different games. This one takes place 2 years prior to the events in the Wii U version of the game. So they are different games that are part of the same series :P

You can adjust the size of the browser/video so it's approximately the size of the 3DS. That works.
