Will crack a piston ring land first or lift the heads due to weak hd studs Iv done pre much the same build and at 240kw it hated life lol ...he wanan throw a exsternal oil cooler on it n ceramic coat or heat wrap all the hotside parts ..hes in for some fun lol
@@matthewwillshire4418 Yeah you make a good point there, I agree it would lift the heads once you start going over 25psi or higher which this turbo can definitely do, it'll be a good test I suppose. Besides even if they blow it up, a built motor just means more content 👍🏻

Hi Devin I really can't wait to hear this thing! but a little suggestion that you should add some sort of rubber washer in the transmission mount to avoid cracking due vibrations in the pipes

How do you learn to do all that? Watching you dismantle everything made me think of all the parts you gotta remember and where they go.

Instead of getting a blown up motor like mentioned previously.. you should invest in the stage 3 closed deck blocks!! Stronger and holds together better from what I’ve heard. Reason why I believe it is stronger: under power the open deck flexes enough to throw the cylinders the tiniest amount out of round and also causes an uneven mating surface between the head and block which I believe is partial reason subies are known for blowing up!
i love you these builds on all the cars my concern is the STI is not a regular featured car that we see all the time it just pops in here and there. I feel after this great build the car will disappear for a few months until the next mod would like to see the STI featured lil more.
