- Hello scrappers and planet lovers. In this video, I will show you all the free copper, stainless steel, tin, silver, and other metals you can get from scrapping a toaster oven and rotisserie oven. I will show you how to safely and effectively identify and separate the metals in order to maximize your profit and divert both items entirely away from the landfill.

Thank for sharing this awesome scrap tutorial!

Sometimes on those motors that you hit on the vice, squeeze the ends opposite of the motor with pliers or maybe in your vice and those motors will just slide out of the housing. I hope that makes sense.
HI I love your channel
Nice and informative as always 👍 Thank you
So nice of you
Another great video!!!
Glad you enjoyed it!
You get enough of those bells you can make a wind chime. 🐎
I always just put those small light bulbs in shred.
For the first time you made me turn off the sound. 60-40% wire. Couldn’t listen one more time. Still watch your videos. 🐎🌻✌️
Not sure what you mean. Was the sound not good? If you mean I am repetitive it is because I have a lot of beginner scrappers and I teach as if every video is the first one.

Not sure what you don’t understand. Yes, it is you explaining 60-40% copper wire. I know why you do it. Just get tired of hearing it.
I have got 25’ of what you call 40% appliance wire (3 strand ). When I get done it will be 75’ of #2 bare. Retired no time schedule. 🐎🌻✌️
What will final weight be though? Retirement sounds nice. I hope you are enjoying yours! Stay well.

It all adds up. ✌️
Why you removing the heating element on oven? Great video
Heating elements are worth more than tin price
Great video as always. Does anyone know if those brass prongs at 13:12 have to have the wires completely removed? I have a bunch, but some have little bits of wire that are annoying to remove.
You shouldn't have to remove the wires as long as it's bare copper (no insulation). For clean price, a little copper on brass for clean brass is okay...a little brass on copper is not for clean copper.
Trace amounts are fine, but I hint a lot of times it depends on your yard or the person working the scales. Another option for the prongs that have the plastic casing on them is to cut them off and put in a bucket. At the yard I go to in London Ont. Gives 16 cents a pound. Not as good as clean brass, but better than mixed wire price
@@TinManScrapper thanks for the tip! 😊
@@cuscrapping some that I have have aluminum wire. I suppose those need to be cut off then...
@@WilhelmFreidrich That will depend on your yard. Mine would take them. Be sure it is actual aluminum wiring and not just tin coated copper as most are. If it came from an appliance, the wiring is not aluminum, but tin coated copper.
