Incredible breakdown thankyou! You covered the key themes & character metaphors in such depth. The power only exists if you buy in to their delusions of grandeur. How do they react when you say no? When you see through the charade? See them for what they really are? Ultimately the members of the club are themselves pawns of the system designed to protect itself. I lived in London for 4 years & interacted with many different groups of society including some of the more 'privileged'. As someone international, apparently I didn't fit in to their classification system, nor do I judge someone on their superficial labels but rather their character, allowing me to observe the nuances of elitism in British society. Money, family, status, the school you went to is not what gives a man class. The way someone treats themselves & those around them, their character, their virtue, their state of consciousness is what true class is. It's a damning social commentary on the pitfalls of privilege, the entrenched inequality in British society & the inevitable self destruction this leads to on an individual & societal level. It's a particular survival strategy based on extraction, exclusion & entitlement. It's not one based on the true fundamentals of existence which exists in unity & interconnection which is why it requires such illusions of grandeur & institutions of entrenched power. True class is a state of consciousness.
just came across this video! you cover a lot of things that had crossed my mind about the entire movie but in a more accurate fashion and also well prepared facts. Good job!
A nice chunk of fury wrapped in a tasty roll of film criticism, with appropriate amounts of context as condiments. Really good work.
Tasty like green eggs and ham with extra chunky cookies, not upset for feeling sick due to the knowledge. Very well said😏
This is fantastically put together! I'm shocked this doesn't have more views.
Agree. A very in-depth and accurate analysis imo. Really enjoyed watching.
awesome video!!! so thought provoking

Wow, this was a fantastic video. I needed it too. As an over-educated, under-employed, poorly located netizen laborer, this is cathartic.
The algorithm has no taste. This is extremely well done very enjoyable
Just found this video today after thinking of this film for the first time in years. Very well done, sadly relevant as ever
Really hate that you missed how Chris lashed out on his daughter instead of the boys who degraded him.
SO WELL WRITTEN. Why doesn't this have more views?
The Algorithm.
Great video review/analysis, I wasn’t even aware that this film was based from a play/a real club from Oxford so thank you for that!

Really enjoyed this video! I felt so much fury at this film, it's incredibly good at getting under your skin. Thank you for such a succinct review!
Love this. Love all your content. Please make more videos! (Unless you are genuinely too busy or doing something more fulfilling!)
surprised that this has so little views, really well made video
Brilliant video!
Any young working class people thinking of joining the miltary these are the type of people you'd be serving under and fighting for
Would you be willing to do a full-length commentary for the film (DVD watch-along style)?
brilliant well written and prouced, pity about the tash
This is anti-moustache rhetoric that I simply *will not* stand for!
Brilliant!
amazing video even if your fashion sense is a bit misleading
I just watched this film and your review is better than Mark Kermode’s.
