      @@leviton31You don't necessarily have to do something to lose your freedom. Besides the obvious "you could get framed/wrongly accused for something you didn't do" there's tons of medical issues that prevent people from being able to do simple things like this. You could be in a car accident or contract an illness at any time. Hell, aliens could enslave us tomorrow for all we know. Our freedoms are still something to be grateful for.

    Congratulations! Freedom as an adult is something you absolutely take for granted, until you lose it. I wasn’t held after my DUI arrest in 2020, but I did go to rehab a couple years ago, my first inpatient after 14yrs of addiction, and I remember the day I got out…being able to smoke whenever I wanted, with my own lighter, felt so foreign. Going to the store felt weird, too. Driving. Absolutely everything. And that was after only a month away! I can’t imagine how it feels after years!

    nice! When I was a sophomore in high school many decades ago, I finally got the braces off my teeth after several years (and much mocking), and I can remember walking on air after leaving the orthodontist. My first stop was to a local fruit stand where I bought a big, crunchy apple and bit into it. All these years later I can taste it and feel it - it was freedom. Now multiply that by about a million and I'd imagine that's what you're feeling...

    • @Crazyreviewer123
      @Crazyreviewer123 Місяць тому +5

      That’s exactly how I felt as well when I was finally set free of braces after a long 8 years. And what makes it more special it happened on my birthday date. I may have been pretty sore and not able to enjoy my birthday dinner as much but that didn’t matter to me it was the best present I could have ever had the freedom of seeing my teeth straight for the first time. It feels great to be braces free years later

    It’s Sat 9-21-24 and I just saw you getting the ankle monitor off and cherishing your freedom … I’m so very happy for you . I’m thankful for your journey shared online .. you have chose to be honest and your videos are encouraging and inspiring many … truth leads to hope . I appreciate your style of presenting info . My family suffered the loss of 2 family members dying in their 30’s from drug abuse . So much pain and heartache . I hope you’ll continue to grow and learn and share the truth online . Congratulations to you and Please know I pray for you to know the peace that your Creator .. the Lord offers . He made you and He has a plan for you … For His glory and for Your Good ( for all eternity ;). The earthly journey has many trials and tribulations but the Bible says our afflictions are light and momentary ( in light of eternity ;) … not underestimating the pain of the trials in any way .. but knowing they won’t last forever for those who belong to Jesus . I’m a 67 yr old mom / grandma person and loved when you interviewed your dad .. so much love between you ;)
    You both have beautiful smiles and hearts of gratitude ;)
    Blessings !

    Fantastic. Good for you. I have been clean for 36 yrs now. AA and NA works well for me and many. Many countries and a few cities in the US don’t incarcerate, but do get seriously involved in recovery for drug addiction. We have to struggle to get permission to bring recovery to prisons. At least for most, to call them “Correctional facilities” is a joke. I live in NC. Not so good, but not as bad as some states. I have a non-profit that helps with re-entry in our rural community. We have an 80% recitisism rate here. Of course primarily due to addition. If you just incarcerate but don’t directly work with addiction, that’s what is going to happen. Again, so happy for you. Just keep up the ongoing recovery. You videos are very constructive and instrcutive

    Brian, Congratulations!!! You have earned your freedom and taught us valuable lessons too. I am certain that your mindfulness practice has been a foundation (it changes the brain) for your ability to accept what could not be changed and to change yourself in ways that have resulted in your happiness. The key mindfulness skill of Equanimity helps us to not push away away or cling to our experiences (negative thoughts and emotions or addictive desires), which results in balanced emotions and wise decisions. Thank you for helping me look at my freedom with new gratitude since it is so easy to take it all for granted. Keep doing the good work and share it here with us.
