I was in the Navy based at North Island Naval Airstation with VS-41 and VS-33 two west pacs AZ2 and I lived in North Park and then Impereal Beach 1982 to 1988 it was a very nice town and getting used to spring summer year round was different and I never got used to christmas lights on a palm tree and came home to the Seattle Wa area when I got out ..
Oh cool - I was in SD about 6 years ago. I stayed in a hotel right across from the convention center (which you can see near the start of the video) and walked that whole distance down the to Midway Museum. Even bought a T-Shirt from the Harley Davidson shop in the village. Great memories but I kept looking for the rock stacker - didn't see him/her. Used to be out there close to the village.
The WW2 aircraft carrier you see (USS MIdway) is a living museum and definitely worth a tour. It also hosts events. I went to one of those hosted by Anhauser Busch. I had a surreal experience drinking beers on the flight deck of a historic military vessel with the stars and beautiful San Diego skyline twinkling at night all around me. Proud to call San Diego my home town.
Incredible video! Perfect!! I support you very much. I respect you I have learned a lot from your video. Thank you so much for sharing your wonderful video.
Hi ! What a vibrant harbour district of the City. Monuments, park land and every type of vessel their to be seen. So much activity. Thanks ! Cheers ;-)
SD is so much nicer looking than LA, it's like they're in 2 separate countries even though they're just 90min apart. I recommend anyone thinking of moving to LA for the climate and scenery to consider SD, it's arguably better for both though LA has more visible hills in the background. There are a variety of people and places in SD as well, it's not a small town and ethnically homogenous. You'll just find less social status and fame chasers compared to LA, which is also a plus. Also, if you're trying to get into the entertainment industry or already are, LA is obviously the city for that.

San Diego was better back in the 70's and 80's.
Certainly more affordable and less crowded. But the downtown region is way more vibrant post-2000 and the skyline is much more impressive now.
Seeing the, ummm, relaxed attitude towards mask handling and social distancing I am not surprised the virus is burning through your country.
