      Hi Debbie. Thanks for you suggestion of taking a break. I do take breaks. My son-in-law Jamie has the hardest part of editing my videos so that they have a more professional look. I would be lost without him. Glad you liked the garden flag tutorial. Be sure to spray the flag with Scotch Guard or Never Wet. Thanks for watching💗and happy sewing😍

    You have given me a great idea for my younger daughter’s birthday. She has a large garden that she loves to work in. So I’m thinking a pretty flag at the garden would be a welcome addition to the area…😊😉
    Thanks for this tutorial, Sherrill!

    Sherill, I love your samples. We live in a breezy area so I line the bottom hem with pennies! The weight of the coins helps to keep the flag from curling up.

    With all the rain we're having, nylon would be more practical. You live in a dry climate, but here in the South, we're having lots of heat & humidity which could lead canvas to mold or mildew.

    • @TheSewingRoomChannel
      @TheSewingRoomChannel  Рік тому +1

      Hi Jane. I agree that nylon would be better in your climate. But if you do use canvas fabric, I recommend that you spray the flag with Scotch Guard or Never Wet. Glad you liked the garden flag tutorial. Thanks for watching💗and happy sewing😍

      Hi Sherry. You can draw your own letters or buy tempates to create words, and then do sewing machine applique stitches around the letters. Glad you liked the garden flag tutorial. Be sure to spray the flag with Scotch Guard or Never Wet. Thanks for watching💗and happy sewing😍

      Hi Martha. Heavier fabric will probably hold up better than cotton quilting fabric. Thanks for watching💗 and happy sewing😍
