Because when inspiration flows like spirit through us it is what gives us life. We are part of the universe and as long as we keep appreciating, seeking joy and calling on inspiration and growing through creativity there is no reason for decline. 💖
I'm a filmmaker, but right after graduating, in the middle of shooting my first feature length documentary, I had a baby, then another, moved a country and for a few other reasons became a stay at home mom. I'm editing meaningless advertisements for a living now, when my kids are in kindergarten 12 hours a week, or late at night when my family sleeps.. A few weeks ago I had a job which had a more artistic approach and working on it felt like I came to the surface after being underwater for years. I feel perfectly healthy apart from being tired all the time, but I just learned that I have cancer. I think it could develop because I didn't breathe. Now I will.
Sometimes totally “random” videos on UA-cam bring unexpected inspiration. I didn’t know her work before but happy to know it now. This video should have a million views! So inspiring!
I guess, that the algorithm showed me this marvel of a video because of my interest of this one the other day: ua-cam.com/video/vRwdfExcdnc/v-deo.htmlsi=y10bOam-56p4vf82
I wish that media, instead of focusing on beauty products they would show ladies like this one. Is they anything more rejuvenating like this?? She is a true inspiration! Thank you for this video 🙏
I'm 66. I look in the mirror and think "Who the hell is that?" then I laugh. Age is to remind us of the absurdity of our egos... it's still me in there. I have to embrace the change. I never worried about aging until, suddenly... I looked different. I don't look like 'me.' But as an Artist... Oh! What a blessing to be an Artist, so as to have something important to be obsessed with, rather than how I look!!! I LOVE what YOU wrote!
@@andreaandrea6716 thank you so much! As an artist my self I totally feel you! I am 47 and realising the same things. Being an artist is really a blessing. Creativity is the youth of the soul! Much love ❤️
@@olgamoraiti Beautifully put!! Creativity IS the youth of the Soul!! I have always thought that when one is creating, one is ACTIVELY not dying. It really is a blessing. The other thing... I think that women, that we are at our peak, the most beautiful and vibrant, in our 40s! I hope you are living this and loving your 40s! It is a special time because YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE, finally! And you walk that through the world. Much love! ❤
How wonderful..this woman has found her purpose and never let it go…I’m a 76 year old woman, have been drawing my whole life…I stopped to raise children, work professionally after a divorce but picked up my drawing and painting tools as I got older…now it’s what I do. What a blessing.
“Why does nature do it better?” “While I work I’m not thinking, I’m doing” Omg I’m so glad I stumbled across this video tonight! She’s so lovely and inspiring!
"It makes me feel like I'm part of the universe" That really gave me pleasure, as I realize I have been star gazing, for inspiration lately. What a wonderful soul, and kind to share here art.
I just started drawing and creating after after 40 years! I haven’t stopped in 2 years but I often think about the time I lost and how much better I would have been, or where I would have been if I hadn’t stopped. I’m 60 now and just pray that my physical and mental health will allow me to reach my 90s and make up for lost time. Inspiring video
The production quality is off the charts. I love the look of this, the halation and the softness. It looks comfortingly analog. And what an amazing space.
Lovely and inspiring. She's old enough to be my mom, I'm around her daughter's age, and FINALLY with the possibility of making art primary in my life. Thank you.
Short and sweet. Rockburne seems so aware of her presence in the art world and also appreciative of what it has given her and what she gave the art world. And btw, after college I began work in NYC in the 80s and even then some of these raw work lofts were occupied by artists. I remember being invited to a loft in SoHo where a friend lived with her artist parents. Coming from the suburbs it felt like I had gone to Oz. Of course now just pricey "luxury" residences...
Yes what a loss. The bohemian thing has all but vanished from cities, along with magazine stands and quirky little shops. The space this woman has is gorgeous.
Dear Dorothea! ❤️Thank you for your Inspiration! I am 62 years and Hope, that I will paint some more years… for me its having quit playful dialog with God. ❤
This is a great insight into the painters inspirational live. It is also well filmed and edited by this young film maker. I'm going to hit the button to follow. limelight.
So beautiful thank you for this video…. And I wanted to see more … haha …your space is amazing! At 63 I go into my studio every day and do some thing. This is so inspiring for me to just keep creating art ❤
Hello Josh, it's a good thing that I went to your website or I would not have found this video. It's another inspirational video about a person in the 90+ bracket. I LOVE it. As I said in another video, I hope that you will explore more of the 90+ years culture of people who live their lives to the fullest. We need it. As a mature adult, I am just falling in love with painting, just beginning to grow the talent. Thank you. Eve
Amazing lovely works of Art, such colours and forms, and technique, you have found something very special, so thanks for sharing it with us. My mom is (still very much here in spirit) also an artist, and worked until she was 85, she also loved colour, form, space made abstract and figurative often together.
Thank you. I'm 64. From Italy. I Paint since little and lately i find all excuses not to do what i love the most. Thank you fir your inspirational words. I hope to find my way into painting again with your inspiring Life. Thank you from my heart
Wonderful video she is very cool. I am an artist too and a similar thing happened to me in elementary school, the teacher held up my painting of an ice-skating rink with trees, buildings, clouds and people wearing scarves and hats and mittens and in all different directions in skating poses, some were holding hands and some were on their butt because they had just fallen and she held it up to the class and said "Look at all the details and excitement, can't you just imagine yourselves in this scene? Antonia's a real artist in the making!" and I remember the class ooing and ahing and looking at me like I was special. I never wanted that feeling to end I'm 61 years old now and I am in my studio right now typing this :) Nver quit creating.
I love her work. I'm going to go google to see if I can find something that I can afford. What an amazing human she is. And she IS the inspiration to women (at least to this one) that she hopes she is.
A wonderful and inspiring lady who is living her life the way she wants too. Love the studio/loft, l would definitely enjoy working and living there as well. A beautiful video. 😊
I’m 40 and think about getting back to it everyday but feeling lost in this chaos that is the now. Sometimes it’s like that for years or even a decade . But I do feel the need to give the gift it’s time on earth . What a shame to keep it hidden in the drawers of our mind . 😭
This film glosses over what could have been a great insight into a life long working practice. The saccharine music is really off putting too. Will definitely look into her work.
Your artwork is truly exceptional! I am in awe of your talent and the way you bring your creative vision to life through your pieces. Your use of color, texture, and composition is masterful and speaks to your unique artistic voice. I am so impressed by your work that I would love to purchase a few pieces to add to my collection. Your art deserves to be showcased and appreciated, and I would be honored to display it Thank you for sharing your gift with the world, and I look forward to supporting your artistic journey through this purchase. Please let me know how we can proceed with the acquisition of your stunning artwork.
The highest and at the same time the simplest and most consistent life, artistic or scientific: work day after day, week after week and so on until the end 🥰
This is turning out to be one of my favorite creators. The stories are all so personal and inspiring and combined with the amazing videography these are just extremely nice to watch. Keep it up!
"I have to paint, it's like breathing." This perfeclty encapsulates how we as artist feel no matter the art. Amazing!
Yes... I felt this statement.
