Great show! Loved the talk about opening your home for gaining community…I too have a husband that hasn’t been a huge fan of my gift of hospitality, but it’s something I love to do and I agree that it is crucial to a happy and fulfilling life❤️

From being politically homeless to understanding how important marriage is the second time around all makes sense. We'd get along real life. Love the channels.

Interesting watching the interview and then hearing the weekly check-in. I was raised in the kind of community ChayaLeah promotes and it suffocated me so I rejected it. I'm unapologetic about not wanting marriage and children. I still have trouble being a part of groups with strong / extreme beliefs or religion. But I now see the same online - 'us' and 'them' with 'woke' or 'trad' religions.I don't do social media. I wonder what would happen if online went away. Could we go back to...?

Bridget -- you can find community in a Christian church. There are so many great churches in Austin. Your interest in Judaism could be a gateway to Bible-believing Christianity for you -- the roots are there. I think you would find Christian history fascinating. Early Christians puzzled on whether or not the faith could even be open to gentiles (in books like Acts and Galatians), and it turned out that ancient gentiles eagerly adopted the faith and became part of Christian communities. Church has been the primary source of community for me outside of my immediate family all my life. Its a major component of being a well-adjusted and healthy adult person to have a community that both challenges you and also provides security and emotional support. Americans have seemed to forfeit this over the last 50 years, and most haven't even realized what they are missing out on.

For sure its weird how D Prager and B Shapiro say Jews for the Hebrews of Exodus... were they even a quarter of the people of Israel then?
