Little known fact that there was a family of four living in Brandon's mullet for the first season.
The cut away shot of her doing language studies with the ladies on the bus is hilarious. Classic Andrea.
They had so much chemistry together, and the writers continuously teased us
Yeah that house now in 2023 is worth 2 milion
Only people born in the 2000s are so focused on Gabrielle Carteris real age. We grew up on this show and Andrea was one of the most beloved characters of the HS years because she was so driven and focused in school.
It went all downhill after they went to college but the HS years are still one of the best teen series ever.
In my opinion all seasons are great, except the last 2. I agree with you, the HS years are the best.
Not all of us.
I graduated HS in 94, so I was supposed to be 1 year younger than the gang; and me and my friends used to wonder how Andrea could be one of us. Andrea, Steve & Dylan looked way too old to play teens. It still didn't stop us from loving the show though, but the character we all loved and would relate to was Brenda, defo not Andrea. And not because she was the nerdy one - she just didn't pass the teen vibe test to us.
I remember it being a thing that was mentioned at the time but it wasn't so scandalous because teen characters were always played by full ass adults which is why I wanted to look grown up so much.
@@NatashaEstrada in Saved By The Bell the kids were playing their real age, in Degrassi too; and I believe Dawson's Creek, although i never watched that show.
Yea no. Class of ‘98.
We always thought Andrea looked like an Aunt. Not a high school
Friend.
The son of a senior accountant in Beverly Hills thought that he was the poorest kid in school. He follows a girl home to find out that she is poorer than him. But it's actually a nice house on a nice street. Finer than any home that I have ever lived in at any time in my life. But this was the show of my teen years. People in their late twenties pretending to be teenager with everyday problems. And fantastic homes, great parties and many of them have really nice cars.
People buying $2mill homes in Los Angeles (which in this case, IRL, is not that far from Beverly Hills and is actually listed as far more than $2mill even though that valuation might not be accurate), aren’t buying them to be near public transportation. NYC would be a different story.
@@lavinder11 Zillow (for whatever that’s worth) has it at closer to $5.5mil though that’s a bit sus.
She keeps jaywalking without looking and wonders why someone runs her down in a later season.
Classic Brandon, caring more about how he comes off than how Andrea is feeling.
For the 90s kids who think this set looks weirdly familiar, it's the same highschool used for Buffy the Vampire Slayer.
Pretty sure it's the same high school in She's All That with Freddy Prinze Jr. too.
Oh no, finding this channel is going to send me down a huge binging rabbit hole of 90210.
The biggest story blunder between two characters that this show ever made was not making Brandon and Andrea come together romantically. They had the chemistry and they would have been the perfect couple on the series.
That’s the point. Andrea is a metaphor for cant always get what you want.
Brandon's nosiness was always so hilarious to me. He was worse than a sewing circle.
I'm 40 n nver cared andrea was older then them in real life. I always loved her character and the show. Her character was the most balanced female character of that show
She's an actor....in fact, she became the president of the Scree Actors Guild..
I'd argue that her character was the most underwritten on the show. The writers made her a saint, and never gave her personal faults to overcome.
I agree lots of actors are older than their age than the Characters they play😊
her house is still like 3 times bigger than mine tf
LOL, it's like Al Bundy in Married With Children. He works as a minimum wage shoe salesman and owns a decent house in a decent neighborhood.
Got to have something big enough to fit the 90's cameras in. Can't film from across the street and through the window to fit it in.
Though this being LA there are a lot of houses that look like that but are actually duplexs and fourplexs with 2-4 apartments inside.
She out there talking about being geographically undesirable impacting her education like she lives in the South Bronx lmfao
The point is she doesn't live in the district of the best school in the area. People in Chicago do this all the time to get their kids into a better public school than the one in their district.
I love the ending of this :) She is so happy to a have friend over, it's really just the school issue and not embarrassment over where she lives (she shouldn't be embarrassed
I Never noticed back in the day as a kid how cool 90s teenage male fashion was. Pretty great look of Brandon’s!
Jason Priestley for example was already a adult he was 21 year old when he star the first episode of Beverly Hills 90210 in 1990
@@cclmpr yeah I know ! But girls wore similar outfits to what Brenda and Kelly are wearing - the denim style, the flowy dresses with biker shorts underneath etc. so I am guessing teen guys wore similar outfits the guys wore I just can’t remember.
Some might think it’s Corny but I think the light relaxed denim with the white t with Rolled up sleeves looks really good !
big secret: "Brandon, I'm an undercover reporter doing a story about being a high school student"
These days that nice little craftsman home in the valley is probably worth about 2 million.
Andrea's big secret is... she is not very fond of Brandon's mullet
Don’t follow people home to force them to talk to you 😂
This show makes me so nostalgic, theme song is 🔥
Brandon has parked in the wrong direction. He'll get a ticket for that.
Did you see how Andrea just ran across the street behind the bus without even looking to the right???
So crazy to see how many productions have been filmed at Torrance High School. ❤
Her run down home is probably valued at 3 million dollars now.
Brandon's Chevy Chevette hilarious.
"Look you got me all wrong! So I stalked you out out of the campus and followed you in my car all the way back to your house so I could tell you that!" lol
The bus stop is right in front of the school. No one ever noticed her there before?
I assume buses have more than one stop. And who would come to the idea of following her? That is just creepy. She was also a very good student, usually schools have little interest in getting rid of the good ones.
@@potocatepetl YOU can notice someone or something without having to stalk them. You could be just going out to your car or something and notice it.
@@ladennayoung2939 Noticing someone at a bus station doesn't mean you know where they get out or if they go directly home after classes. I doubt teachers are so bored to follow all their pupils and make sure they live where they say they do. especially when the child/teenager has no issues.
@uklinkx all the kids at that school drive v expensive cars. They probably don't even register that such a thing as public transport exists 😄
This music DON'T have to be SO serious/dramatic. LOL.
This is a teen drama in the 90s....everything is treated like life and death regardless of context. LOL
Exactly... It should be in a Miami Vice drug bust scene. Not this foolishness. 🤣
Luv how the gang kept her secret. Kelly even helped save her w/ the makeover at her aunt's place,it helped convince the interviewer. Sweet...
At that time I had a crush on Brenda, but it took me 30 years to realize Andrea was the best girl, smarter, even prettier
Andrea lived in a different part of town and spoke Spanish. To her grandma
The Big Secret is that this is Sunnydale High and Andrea is actually a slayer
Did you see how Andrea just ran across the street behind the bus without even looking to the right??? 1:46
I loved this show.
Gramercy?! The one time I ever went to L.A and that's where I happened to stay lol
Back when Brandon rocked a mullet. Good times.
That MFer was HEALTHY, too! No frizz, no split ends or anything! Just healthy mulletude plumage!
They were soooooo cute !
I wish this went somewhere. They had good chemistry.
I was a teenager and I grew up in poverty but I didn’t give a shit what people thought.
Brandon's hairstyle is popular with the K-poppers atm
Lol at the dramatic music. My mom let me watch this as a kid and i remember none of it
Watching Luke Perry on Riverdale was what peaked my interest in this show. I didn’t grow up as a teen during the 90s but I can see why this show was so popular.
@@amystadnik324 I was born in 1997, so obviously I wasn’t able to watch this show when it premiered.
"Hey, Andrea! Can you help me study?"
I was very young when I first watch this and actually I do not understand the story well, I just knew there sere siblings, having a disciplinarian parents and all the love story ,and the Emily episodes...now so excited watching them again ...I am 39 now..before I was 8😂😂😂
The whole block that Andrea's house is on was demolished in 2016 for a huge apartment complex
Personally, I am impressed with the issues that were presented on "Beverly Hills, 90210." This particular scene has shown about the meaning of class in American society along economic lines with the character of "Andrea Zuckerman" worrying about whether she be accepted in a prestigious high school by other students and faculty there. At least this series had plenty of issues and meaning to explore in the 1990's. As a TV viewer, I really enjoyed learning from it.
Here in Germany the problem is similar: When people with "bad postcodes" (from poor or dangerous residential areas) apply for a job, they are simply sorted out in some companies...
@@janpracht6662 I see your point very well and I thank you for it. I am sure that such an example happens in just about everywhere in the world indeed.
@@popcornfps Well, I think that BOTH political parties will only continue to really run America into the ground because of the ongoing attacks between them that had been happening for decades. Other than that, I just DO NOT see where you had gotten the assumption about the Democrats wanting to allegedly continue making things more difficult for this country. Besides, I would rather vote for an alternative political party that can only have a balance of the issues that concern to the politicians of both Republican and Democratic parties. Furthermore, maybe you should elaborate on your comment anyway.
I agree that the show tackled a lot of societal and personal issues. Maybe it was sometimes a little cheesy but many of the topics are still relevant today and they weren’t always one-sided with the message or stance.
The characters of andrea zuckerman play Gabrielle catheris and Jason Priestley plays as Brandon walsh these 2 amazing actress and actor, this scene when Andrea take the bus to home and Brandon follows her to the house
Yah, Andrea, the nerd one, my favorite 🤩
What was meant to happen, ..but didn't. Damn writers!!
Look, I'm all for boy/girl platonic, but still close & loving relationships in TV shows..plus they usually turn out to be the best "couple/relationship" of the show. They should always be encouraging those types of relationships. But still, in this case, you can't deny the chemistry Brandon and Andrea had. Even as just friends. I know Brelly is the more loved ship for Brandon, (and I do like Brandon and Kelly), but I'll always believe Brandon and Andrea were each other's "one that got away". Imo, no matter the relationship status, they were each other's soulmate. Also imo, he was most himself around her. Brandrea forever! ❤️
lol I love how even the poor people in SoCal have huge houses
can we appreciate the cinematography on that very first scene..
I was in high school when this show aired and I remember the day I graduated was the day that they graduated on the show in 1993.
"Donna Martin graduates! Donna Martin graduates!" etc.. Any such drama at your graduation? Did you wish for it?
When I watched this as a teen, yes I thought Andrea looked older than everyone but at the same time what I thought was more unrealistic was the fact those kinds of kids accepted her into their group. Realistically speaking, they were mostly so full of themselves to even want to hang out with someone like her. Brandon’s friendship with her was realistic because he was a somewhat good guy with character. I don’t think they had the chemistry for a romantic relationship; just the friendship. It was refreshing to see Dylan and Andrea’s friendship when she helped him publish his writing; that was probably the first girl in the whole series who interacted with Dylan respectfully without strings attached.
good video good scenes
Is she supposed to be poor!!!!!! Are you freaking kidding me.
I love how they've using an old-school SEPTA bus in this scene.
I felt like he was wrong for that. That wasn't any of his business.
Lol. The fact that Andrea is the kind of person who would vote for politicians against school choice (aka D) makes me laugh so hard all these years later 😂😂😂😂
Sunnydale High!
Best ship on the show 👏👏👏👏
We all need a brandon ( early Brandon )
Loved this 2
She's really a guidance counselor but very short.
I like how they made the "Smart" students on the show not look the usually "Frumpy" other shows did.
How can she stand to be so poor? Look at that house, a homeless person would be embarrassed. I cant believe Brandon would still be friends with her after finding out.
everyone looks so 90s
I love how his mustang was right there when he needed it the most ?
Quando Marianna Caso e Ivana Pellegrino ai tempi del liceo stavano rifacendo Beverly Hills 90210 e voi mi diceste Brandon e io vi risposi Steve
She calls him rich but he's definitely not driving a rich boy's car.
Yes that is true Brandon and Brenda rode in a yellow Ford mustang with a convertible top.
Her secret was that she had 11 pairs of the same glasses.
The house is bigger then that walsh's 😂
I live in a wealthy area but in an apartment and I can relate to this.
Huh.... And here I thought Brandon would discover that Andrea was actually 35 years old but pretending to be a Freshman in High School.
They just made assumptions. He didn't actually say anything about him and Maryann per se.
I love this scene so much. it hits so close for me as in high school i didnt live in the district either lol.
I had to take 2 city busses to go to my transfer high school. Then, the same story to get back across town.
Where is Gramercy in Van Nuys? ;)
looks like Brando was stickin
OMG!! And old Philadelphia SEPTA bus!! The logo....dead giveaway! HA!!!
is airwolf supposed to be set at van nuys, or is it me.
I still can not believe they had a 35 y/o playing a high school student.
It says more about the 20 somethings IMO that someone so much older than them could be cast as their classmate and not look older than them
I thought Brandon ad Andrea were perfect for each other.
Wish they would have been a couple
Totally. They ruined Andrea by having her get knocked up. Had she hooked up with Brandon, she might have stayed. At least, they got to have a few intimate scenes.
Great scene but........the worst kept secret ever. It was obvious that Andrea wasn't rich like the other kids
the big secret is there are vampires at the school 😅
I love how she's in California and yet rides a SEPTA bus.
I thought the biggest secret of Andrea it's her age...
The school sets look fairly similar to Buffy's, lol
I could have seen a Buffy 90210 episode--where Cordelia looks over Buffy's clothes appreciatively....and Donna asks Angel " you're a good vampire like on Sesame Street....right?" and Angel has no clue what on earth Sesame street is...and somebody from the scooby gang says to Donna 'oh wait...never mind...we'll explain it to you' meanwhile Andrea is fascinated by the idea that things rise from the dead and are fought off by slayers...who ARE women. She's following Buffy around trying to get a story.
Her secret: 40 years old in high school
❤
Is that the Sunnydale high school from Buffy the vampire slayer?
So is nobody gonna talk about how this is totally a stalker move? Like hey I just followed you 10 miles to talk about another girl, but sure come on into my house like it's all good. 90s kids weren't cool, they just had boundary issues.
Oh, no. She lives in a nice house and has to make a long commute to get to school! Say it isn't so! Alexa, play Despacita.
Still lives in her own house and stuff
I don't even have to watch this video to know her secret. It was so obvious. Andrea was WAY TO OLD to be in high school. What in God's name were the producers thinking putting a 30 YEAR OLD woman on this show???
I promise I won't.... goes in.... sits on the bed.... asks for a helping hand
The big secret was Andrea was a main character
The big secret was that Andrea was 35 years old.
Secret? I have teachers who look way younger
🤣😂😅
who cares...;))))
She doesn’t look thaaat old 😊
I swear I was about to post the same comment with that exact age 🤣
