Whoever thought it was smart on a boat and use a boat that big for wakeboarding with nuts. But the worst part was doing it and the middle of some of the most worst voting traffic ever. You don't do that there. No GoFundMe and no lawsuit for you.

Exactly. They may have hit her trying to pick skiers up, and are blaming the other guy, to cover what they did. Was ski boat operator checked for intoxicants, standard when death occurs?
Proper ski boat small, manuverable to quickly turn around, protect skier down in water.
      Special safety equip, large mirrors..
Should NEVER ski anywhere near open boating channel.
      This was not safe.

Well at least we know the driver of the “ski” boat is beyond reproach. Not a surprise. Bet their attorneys are working double time.
Won’t be in shock if it’s someone with some influence otherwise their names would be plastered all over the news.

I strongly believe we should be encouraging people water skiing, wakeboarding, not just scuba diving and snorkeling to use two dive flags on the back of boats and front I mean why not! This should be law! Water skiers are up to/around 100ft behind the boat and wake boarders typically 10-75 ft from the boat. When you have a dive flag water vessels can’t (aren’t supposed to) come near that boat within 300 ft. Boat operators are more likely to see the flags. Let’s bring more attention to this. It could help. I’m a scuba diver. If it happened once it’ll happen again. Real Change needs to happen, it’s not solely on speed and yes people drive way too fast. I’ve seen many fishing boats in auto drive, one man shows fixing their lines instead of watching where they’re going at full speed almost hitting our anchored boat! It’s crazy out there. However, dive flags are law and you can get in trouble if a dive flag is up and you get too close. We just need more people to use them. Enforce the use of them somehow, more advertisement, something to maybe save a life when dragging people behind the boat. It could happen to anyone. I’m writing whoever I can about this. Im deeply saddened to hear this story. It’s so heartbreaking. I can’t imagine what everyone involved is going through and how they feel. The impact on their lives is enormous. Let’s do something about it for positive change. My thoughts and prayers go out to the Adler family and everyone involved. ❤❤❤

People will clutch at straws in desperate times. Speaking about 'being so lucky' after a senseless random horrible tragedy like this that ended a young woman's life so suddenly and senselessly .... is just pathetic. But that's the human coping mechanism that kicks in, it blurs reality to make life continuation possible. And no 'guardian angels' or 'miracles' were mentioned this time, conveniently. Because those only come in when randomness and luck play in favor of the outcome. Not hating, just stating facts. We live in a senseless and random world. RIP young woman.

How is it her fault? As opposed to a 78 year old person who should not have been driving a boat alone?

    • @daveclark8337

You can drive a boat alone. What you should NOT do is tow 2 inexperience skiers at the same time with a 42 ft Fjord in such a busy waterway. This mom said the girls dropped off at different times, so in the time it took to slow that 42' boat down and turn it around to pick up one girl, Ella's head was still bobbing out in the ocean chop unprotected with all the other boats going by her. It was an accident waiting to happen.

You are a total idiot. You live in a fantasy. That man did everything totally right and the person who is towing all these teenagers and a traffic zone in a big boat was wrong. You know nothing about the ocean or boating.

@@daveclark8337 Hard to believe so many have no idea how boats work, includng the media. Seems the FWC, and press just want to protect these elites, who behave recklessly, then hide behind their money, and connections.. If regular person did this they'd be arrested.
Something else is suspicious. The photo taken minutes after shows Adle's body pretty much intact, right at the stern of the 42' Fjord. If she had been run over by four 375 hp outboards, she would have been chopped to pieces, and sunk, or strewn all over the water. Even the life vest would be in tatters. I think they may have hit Adel, and are trying frame someone else. Would also explain the very vauge description they gave of a blue, or light blue boat with 2, or as may as 4 engines.

You’re all wrong. The 78 year old did nothing illegal. Simply a bad accident. If anything it sounds like wakeboarding in that location was not an intelligent move.
