As a hardstuck gold 3 that has recently reached plat 1 i can agree that we are very inconsistent at times and that i have learnt to play my ranked matches like they are unrated as i feel less nervous and i somehow perform way better when i realise that i am having fun with my friends

@@magua3971 good question, a lot of times after id make a bad play I would terrible for the rest of the game because id be worried what my teammates were thinking and stuff. So to combat that, I disabled the spectate count, all chat and team chat for a while. After doing that a lot, I didn't really care for what my teammates thought anymore, that basically got rid of most of it.

@@arizz620 Muting chat/vc in some cases would be disadvantage since there are some people who actually comm. Honestly the best thing to do is play more and get better so you don't have to worry what others think. And if there is someone negative, you can just mute them then.

When I watched his gameplay, I thought iron. He has potential to climb a bit, though. Reaction time needs a lot of work and he needs to either play with people who are better than him (golds and up) to learn more game sense/positioning/counter strafing or just do a ton of deathmatch to practice those skills. Crosshair placement, as Egg said, needs to improve because he's flicking too much.

at least for me, the biggest thing i notice when watching iron gameplay is reaction time. i feel like irons with good reaction time are similar to mid/high bronzes. crosshair placement really doesnt matter in iron lobbies because whoever starts shooting first basically always wins the duel so reaction time matters more imo (im plat 2 for reference)
Not necessarily, people start spraying/running and gunning with vandal, it's just cringe even in bronze lobbies (I'm silver btw)

was hardstuck bronze 2 a few weeks ago, and ive just hit gold 2 today. anxiety and stress was a HUGE negative factor in my gameplay that i was able to get rid of, no more shaky aim or indecisive decision making.

Watching live + rewatching now really makes me feel like the biggest issue Zan has other than crosshair placement is their reaction time is actually so slow and sluggish, their util usage can definitely use some help as well, esp on Fade (not sure if thats their main agent, but a lot of their usage was kinda sus to me as an initiator main), but their reaction time especially needs help

Theres so much more than that its just overall gamesense first of all not being sure what to do and exposing to multiple angles.overpeeking and exposing himself to 2-3 people to shoot at him.not focusing on economy and just forcing smgs and guardians.using abilities with no idea what to do after it just throwing his util hoping that he or someone will use it.terrible crosshair placement.terrible recoil control
I also think that Zan’s sensitivity is too low, if you notice when an enemy is slightly off their crosshair his crosshair is moving at the speed of a dead snail which makes it impossible for him to kill enemies when they’re moving
@@aidanj1708 low sensitivity is not a problem usually it only becomes a problem when you dont have good crosshair placement i personally play 600dpi with 0.2 ingame
I was hard stuck gold for almost the full 2 years that valorant has been out until a few weeks ago when the new act started and I went straight up to high diamond, for the past 2 years people thought I was smurfing in gold. Before my rank up I wanted to be in one of these but now I cant really. :(

Sometimes people are stuck in low elo, not be cause of their skill, but because of their toxicity. Which brings their team down, making the team perform worse and therefor lose.

As someone who used to be hardstuck gold. I agree with the inconsistency. I knew what I needed to improve and be more consistent with crosshair placement and aim + covering teammates with util. Climbed to plat and got double promo to plat 3 and I’m almost diamond now playing solo que flex :D

The way the golds were playing at the start makes me feel grateful I have good teammates in plat though I’m still technically in gold.

I was iron and I could beat silvers, it's just difficult to climb out without stacking with cracked irons, half irons are working to climb, the other half is people that deserve iron or don't play the game enough to get good I have since got silver 3

If you are stuck in iron it's your problem. If you have non-shit aim, listen to teammates and try to play with them you should be at least bronze/silver.

But, the fade eye/octopus I feel is just an easier sova dart as you don't always need lineups to make it perch on some small ass ledge
Secondly, all of fade's throwables follow omen's blinds mechanics
I.E. if you throw fade's eye while walking, it'll travel faster, hence farther
And if you move back, it'll go slower, hence closer
Now you can use this to make it land on a small edge easier

i think as a player the best think for them to work on is probably crosshair placement because a lot of the kills seemed to be pretty lucky kills like i saw a lot of run and gun kills and kills while fully spraying
imo the main problem in iron is the fact they refuse to learn lineups and mostly play random agents every game as well as looking at the sky/ground
Running and gunning is optimal at 5m with a spectre
Personally got placed in bronze 3 and i felt that i play way better than that, its hard to climb when the enemy team has diamond smurfs, but in a month managed to get to gold 3 and now playing with plat players feels pretty comfortable getting in top 3 players of the game half of my games. I think finding the right group to five stack and learn together, making callouts, and having positive attitude is the way to go. Good luck climbing man
Look, I'm not going to violate but if you can't solo queue to gold or plat then you have a major problem. Honestly, their reason that they need to find a team is pathetic, it is gold, a base level of gamesense, aim and communication is necessary but in this clip we see they have none. It is the common problem of blaming teammates where you don't realise that you're the one who is utter dogshit. Finding a 5 stack in ascendant or immortal I can see, anything below is pretty much a joke if you 5 stack in gold or plat your just a copium silver or bronze.

@@ffgnikhilgaming9621 mostly because your kills are meaningless. The difference between impact and kills is very big. Coming from someone who played Cs and valorant, I used to be "hardstuck" in Cs low ranks "carrying" and then as soon as I started entry fragging properly, taking space, playing areas which were needed, not pushing everything I ranked up very quickly. The problem is you have good aim for iron and awful gamesense. However, the great news is gamesense is pretty easy to learn and I think if you play more team oriented you will probably rank up incredibly quickly. Also for valorant play smokes and utility because you damn well know if your team plays smokes they are going to use one smoke a game and it's going to be in the most useless spot know to man. When I carried games it was as viper and as those agents. The most duelist oriented agent I played was Kay-0.

First, everyone's aim is trash they let you get away with things that you shouldn't be able to so entry fragging is easier. Second, a lot of the time your team will be mentally challenged, but so is the enemy team. It's not that you always get paired with idiots, it's that the whole game is idiots, their team also has instalock reynas and people who take 1s to aim at someone's head. This being said, you kinda need to be doing the dirty work, being smokes and entrying is pretty much needed because your team won't smoke well, and they sure as hell won't entry well. In fact for entrying they'll push one metre then hide in fear. And finally idk if you do this but fuck lurking most of the time it's useless only top people who actually know the point of lurking with a reliable team should do it. Lurking in iron or silver or even gold is basically letting ur special ed team die and then you having to ace because you left them alone instead of taking site with them.
The reason why its good to use fade eye early is that you instantly get info even if broken and you can get the fade eye back in only 30 seconds and if you have lineups that are random then you can use the eye affectivly

Started a year ago in literally the lowest rank Iron 1 and recently hit Gold 1. I dont have any plays to play with and usually only win games when I get match mvp.
I got placed in to bronze 2, and I solo queued to gold 1, but I don't expect to make it past gold this act, I'm still learning and I may be fighting between silver and gold this act, hopefully next act I'll have improved enough to make it to platinum
I was hardstuck silver for the longest while in Episode 3: Act 2 but ever since Ascendant came and I played more Valorant, I placed Silver 1 in Episode 5 and reached Plat 1 in less than a month. I am not sure if it's because I've gotten better or the rank system has gotten more unbalanced. Regarding Zanvorth's rank, I say he would be at least Bronze 2, at most Silver 3.

i actually can agree with him, im on duty 4 times in a week, 12-24hour shifts, i just got out from iron, i know i have the actual gamesense and stuff, but it really depends on you that you can get the rank you think you deserve or not, i had a huge winning streak, i was stuck at home because of COVID, and i had plenty of time to play Valorant, and im not really playing competetive at all, i just started and i got out from iron very quickly.
i think its up to you, if you're good enough you'll get out eventually

He's a good guy, hopefully he figures out his own way of climbing the ranks. Otherwise just know gold is probably one of my most disliked ranks, it's extremely simple getting stuck within gold lobbies, you can often either find yourself really struggling or coming across simply trash players.

His aim is decent it’s just his decision making speed, his crosshair, and reaction time is the things he needs to improve. Also it would help him if he would learn the Miyagi method or any other method that is closely related rather than standing still while shooting.
Honestly I believe that you can be hardstuck iron, from experience you have to carry yourself out of that rank I found getting out of bronze a lot easier than iron- a silver players perspective

In the bind match when they were playing bench (14:10) that was a great example of why they are not in gold. they threw a haunt pinged someone in ct then proceeded tp peek heaven in the open instead of just waiting it out for a better peak. def does not deserve gold. maybe bronze might even be too high

The gold players obviously have come all the way to gold with their skills and sometimes you don't pop off all the time. Even TenZ who arguably is the best valorant player does not ace every single round in Valorant. Sometimes you just have bad games and you have to come to terms with it. What Egg did here is equivalent to, "So, what color is your Bugatti?" to people who talk shit about billionaires who got a fancy wrap on their Bugatti. Keyboard warriors are an absolute menace.
When I was an iron my silver friend(not my friend anymore) used to talk so much shit on every play I do, even my brother heard it from my headphones and I made Alt accounts to avoid him 😅 having good friends plays a huge factor in ranking up and toxicity limits that. Ego is also a huge factor in every thing in life. Now I have no friends to climb with, but you know at least I’m having fun.

I know this videos a bit old, so my comment wouldn't really matter, but there are a few things I want to share. Recently, Gold-low plat isn't mid elo, it's low elo. What makes a gold really deserve gold is the decision making skills and not wanting to use their abilities for a team benefit. For instance, an initiators value on helping the team gain info on site, its tremendous. Learning when, where, and how to use it makes such a difference. However, this video was a perfect example that improvements is really possible. I've watched koukie play in iron videos of yours to participating in gold ones. Huge ones!

The thing about iron is that everyone in iron is so bad that if you can’t get yourself out while supposedly at the skill level of a gold, you should probably be in iron.
The real difference between an iron and gold from experience, is overall better fundamentals like utility usage and awareness . Obviously Aim and gun control is a lot better, but honestly I’ve seen some golds with iron aim and climbed purely game sense.
As a fade main I don’t think I agree with Egg about not using Haunts at the start of the round. It’s a quick way to get a sense of attacker positioning early on and allow for reinforcements to come quicker in cases where they rush site and we have to play retake. Also, if you use it early, and the attackers don’t rush, you usually get Haunt off cool-down right when fighting for site which is helpful. And using Haunt early in the round on attack allows duelists to punch through site, knowing exactly where most cleared defenders are.
