Grinnell Jr comes up screaming at the top of his lungs that he is the most awesome Falcon ever; and Lindsay is like: "yes Jr. you're feared by all, the great Falcon of the Bay" as she yawns 🤭
Thank you so much for this video! Grinnell Jr hasn't changed a bit! Lindsay heard him coming! Wonder if she was thinking, dang I can't get away from him! She is so precious and has such a layed back attitude! I know they don't feel what we feel, but I wonder! Ha ha! Then Grinnell Jr announces when he's leaving! Even when they were banded... Lindsay was quiet for the most part and Grinnell Jr screamed the whole time! It was so good to see them so beautiful and healthy! Thanks again! Take care! Whoever puts these videos together, I really do appreciate them!! 💜
Really interesting that Lindsey made a 12+ minute oration on her own and Grinnell Jr screamed for food/company/any attention for at least a couple of mins but the two are pretty quiet or relatively quiet together. My theory is that both fledglings are looking for attention and food from their parents. Also laidback Lindsey is a triumph of nurture over nature since I believe that she is not Alden's chick.
...thank you UCB for proving this falcon nesting site that encourages more and more skyscrapers to do the same and restore historic peregrine populations. if we could only do the same with sea otters all over the California and West Coast! Huge environmental benefit besides species benefit. Thank you so much for letting us watch when so much science is today completely hidden from public access and enrichment. Does the state/public UCB keep cutting edge Science secret or public? Thank you again.
I see juveniles do this fairly often -- as if they've forgotten to tuck their wings in. It's like the way toddlers go running out of the house before their parents get them fully dressed!
Yes. It's on the official Twitter. Sad news to share with you all: Lindsay was found dead today on the west edge of campus. Lindsay was last seen at the Campanile in the first week of August and it appears that she likely died not too long after those observations.
@@jessicalau3152 Thank you so much for reaching out and letting me know what happened. So 🥺 sad to hear that. She was my favorite! Such a laid back personality! Glad Grinnell Jr is still thriving! Thanks again for letting me know. Take care!💜

😂😂😂
Every time Jr appears he's screeching, LOL.
Great to see the loafer and the screamer together again.
Lol good nicknames
How lovely to see Brother Grinnell Jr and Sister Lindsay get together again by the nest. A very heart warming event.
Such a treat. Lindsay was loafing for a couple hours. I’m convinced she’s Alden’s progeny.

RIP, beautiful Lindsay. 💗😭😭
Ugh. I just found out that Lindsay passed away. Very sad news, indeed. RIP Lindsay...and thank you for the memories.
They are so different in temperament.
So happy to see that they're both thriving 🙂
❤️ 💕 love
This has to have been the most brutal season for Cal Falcons since this observation began. Hopefully next season will be better. RIP Lindsey..
These are the "Days of Our Falcon Lives." Nonstop drama.

Loafers!
Is Jr lazy with his wing tuck... or is it normal to let them hang like he does... I haven't noticed it on the others...
That’s how birds cool off.

In which country is this nest?
We are located in Berkeley, California, USA
Now a days GJ not coming. Is he already dispersed from parents?
It's relatively likely he's left the territory by now.
@@calfalcons You think he actually survived? Because now we know that Lindsay didn't...and she was still on campus after he was last seen.
