Itō (伊東市, Itō-shi) is a city located on the eastern shore of the Izu Peninsula in Shizuoka Prefecture, Japan. As of 31 July 2019, the city had an estimated population of 68,773 in 36,717 households and a population density of 550 persons per km². The total area was 124.13 square kilometres (47.93 sq mi).
Itō Station (伊東駅, Itō-eki) is a railway station located in the city of Itō, Shizuoka, Japan operated by the East Japan Railway Company (JR East). with the Izukyū Corporation's Izu Kyūkō Line as a tenant running a through service. It also has a freight depot for the Japan Freight Railway Company.
