I hear a respectful amount of Bernadette's phrasing, I wish more witches did that. Perhaps it's just the original writing but others get too loose with it imo. Patina's voice is good enough to do it without sounding obvious or copyish. Just singing it as written is a bold choice imo and it paid off. Loved it. ❤
@@calzoneyed wrong. Changes are made when someone is not able to do something consistently. She wasn't able to pull off the original Sister Act script either. This is a wrong choice for Yhe Witch. There are MUCH more capable actresses with much better voices...that wouldn't have to change the key.
@@TheMaltebella its not the pitches in the old key that is desirable, it’s the place it reaches in the original actresses’s voice. And Pattina reaches a really juicy part of her voice in this key, and that’s all that matters. There is nothing wrong or less desirable about the different key- its actually preferred. And of course there’s other actresses that would sing this in the original key, but they aren’t looking for that, they’re looking for what Pattina Miller would bring. Who cares about the scale in which a voice is sung in, musical theatre isn’t supposed to be about singing high. It’s about singing with juice.
That last note gives me goosebumps EVERY. TIME. God. Absolutely stunning.
Petition for a Broadway Revival with this cast

Can there be a revival of this with this case please?
Wish granted
Y’all are so quick 😂. I was there last night

Had these automatically uploading on my phone. I fixed it!
What key is this in?
The key of Patina Miller
The starting key is E Minor, 4 steps down from the original key of G Minor in the OBC.
@@Oncearanger88 Well, I think the director was the one who made the change
