Mario, just discovered this channel. My grandfather and great grandfather where involved in Illinden, left Smerdesh in 1907 and ended up in Toronto where we live to this day...

Thoughts on Jovan Babunski
Same as Dimitar Grdanov, they were of Macedonian ethnicity but were traitors. The IMRO killed Jovan Babunski's brother for unknown reasons or i do not know why, then Jovan joined the Serbian Cheta and all he did was ambush the IMRO members and kill them. He was one of the Serbians in 1918 who changed Macedonian surnames into Serbian with force

Fantastic video, Mario. It was like a virtual tour through a snapshot of revolutionary history with a mini re-enactment-like presentation. You made this chapter of history come alive. Wouldn’t it be wonderful if you could do more on-location videos in the future!

Who can’t fall in love with Ohrid? Oh, how I wish I could visit again. I have spent only one day of my life there. I live so far away and it doesn’t look like travel restrictions will lift anytime soon.
Also, you have developed great communication skills, Mario. Unscripted presentation, ad-libbing and improvisation are skills not many of us can master and you breezed through it. Can’t wait for your next video.

I have always wondered why in the Bucharest Treaty and the carve up of Macedonia, considering the Illinden and other uprisings why the formation of a Macedonian state was not considered and why there was no Macedonian voice, or was there?
