I agree about the water level windows - need more view from the cabins. They should also allow fold down walls from the cabins to become balconies when dock of moored. Would like to see cabins for guests and crew.
Yeah I can't wait till we have a better understanding of the interior layout.
I will say I am glad the solar panel arrays move out of way when not under way to provide additional sun deck space.
I think that is pretty clever.
I saw this but didnt realize it was your video.
The Silent Yacht looks nice but it's really a coastal cruiser. When they say it can do transatlantic, it will still require diesel or a kite system because it doesn't generate enough power and it would take you longer to cross if you didn't use diesel. Until they come out with better solar panels or better battery storage, a hybrid catamaran is the best way to go. I believe the HH manufacturer offers a hybrid with solar panel sails as well.
I gotta move those antennas to the front so I can get my helo on that pad.
I'd feel nervous landing on this.

At least there wouldn’t be people shooting at me !
Absolutely stunning! Do you happen to know what kind of roll mitigation, if any, is on board?
it's a dream
They do have an option for a port side door w/crane to unload personal submarine and toys, along with 2 boats. I would like to know the reasons for the pronounced large point on the front of the ship. To me it doesn`t look good. I would venture a guess to the extended spontoon that it is the most efficient design. I would like to see a different design even if it is a little less efficient. I suppose there is a lot of customizing on a large ship as this is. I sure am glad Silent Yachts are building these beautiful boats.
I don't know what it's for, but I doubt there are any cranes on the production version of this vessel.
"or one particularly selfish one." and you just described the target demographic.
😂
Price?
It has not been launched yet. I'll do another video once we have more information, make sure to sub and ring the bell for new video notifications.
It’s ugly! The
Bow needs to be more pointed the round shape really is hard to look at!
Compared to their smaller vessels, I'm not as much a fan of this design.
From an engineering perspective this is a fail. Solar power on a boat doesn’t scale. Look up square cube relationships. The solar on this yacht is a marketing gimmick and couldn’t even cover house requirements.
I think you need to do some more research into Silent Yachts. They already supply solar yachts up to 80 feet comfortably. I have no doubt of their ability to succeed with this design.
Look at me! I know a science term! Surely I can eyeball a design and less-than-napkin-math my conclusion about its viability.
