- I take a look at the Silent Industries Alpha Hop Unit for Airsoft AEGs.
In this video I install it into a Novritsch SSR4.

At 5:08 I should have added the tension ring to bucking lips. Don’t forget like I did. However, the SSR4 still shot extremely accurately without it.
The tension ring aids in a better seal between the nozzle and the bucking.
And u forgot to mentioned adjustable feed tube too . U could add more hop for 32bb , But still shot like laser. i have it too.
@@Bagoly_1literally the two most important things to talk about with the new hopup lol
I am a very beginner and ssr4 is my first replica, i will try to follow your guides to upgrade my replica as well as my tech skills, excellent job you are making plus the way you explain feels easy to understand
If you getting a silent industries use their videos instead
Damn, looks like the Silent a will be a must have. Guess I have to buy 6 now for all my AEGs rip lol.
Thank You for this assembly guide! Hope you like our parts! Maybe we can see a gameplay video soon?!
Soon from me too. Your MTW hopup is far better than the Maxx hopup
The spring tensioner allows the hop unit to adapt to different mags, hower o rings on the barrel give a better air seal, my preference is spring tensioner
Would it work to put on one O Ring and then add the spring?
It's a nice enough hop chamber but as others have stated the price is set super high when you can achieve the same with an £8 ZCI rotary or a £30 Retro Arms. Be good to see you test it with a higher quality inner barrel. Get in touch.
Trust me you can’t achieve the same
Been using O-Rings on my inner barrel for spacer for years. You would be surprised how well it works.
ive used o rings on inner barrels forever, the spring gives inconsistencies, if you use the same mags and make sure they fit prior the literal no movement the oring provides is an amazing accuracy upgrade for basically no money that every user can basically benefit from on almost all platforms.. experiment youll be suprised what they work in... i turned a glock into a single shot sniper , u just had to tap the slide forward after each shot but it tripled the range and accuracy with just a simple oring on the barrel to stop the play they inherently have haha
€90 for a hop unit is extremely steep! Personally, i've never had an issue with ZCI black or Specna Arms blue rotary hop units, ever.
As for the O-rings vs spring. It depends on what you want. Springs, naturally, can be compressed introducing potential air-leaks and inconsistency. If you have all the same brand/type of magazine, you're better off using O-rings and getting the setup perfect.
Additionally, when's the spring sniper upgrade video series happening :)
My new specna arms blue hop up unit doesn’t like like it does as good as this
next time could you spare my airsoft technician brain the nightmares and remove hop up wheel/arm/ nub before you start to pull the barrel ? XD
And or turn the hop off instead of on
Quick question-since you installed it on the SSR4, how many O-rings did you use to adjust the feeding hop-up with the magazine? Since there’s no spring with the hop-up, I noticed in the video it looks like you used all the O-rings. I don't think you left them all there, right? @camman extra
The o-rings are far better than a spring. While springs help with mag compatibility, the o-rings push the hop unit against the gearbox way better, keeping your airseal fully intact. If you'd use a spring in combination with a mag that doesn't fit 100% perfect, you'd be able to wiggle the mag front to back, which kills your airseal and can cause massive deviations in FPS.
Dont get me wrong it looks great but nothing can beat to G&G rotary hop-up unit as ive notice it give far better accuracy and flight trajectory too as it uses a spring and by changing the spring to a toughter if needed it becomes a king.
The spring is worse and it doesn’t change trajectory, as long as it works well then it’s good
Wonder how it lines up with HPA engine nozzles.
no difference
in theory will work great
They have an hpa variant
Hello ! Which inner barrel will you use please ? Idk how to choose one
how long is the ssr4 inner barrel i cant find i anywhare
where is the advantage over a maxx?
what size O rings did you put onto the barrel? Unless they actually came with the hop up, I'm thinking about making this same upgrade
They do come with it
Fancy ass hop for a shit brass inner. Many such cases.
hmmm.. 90€ for AEG hop unit.. its really better then : MAXX,BEGADI,RETROARMS ?
What makes the Maxx Model M4A-PRO so good is the solid metal concave nub, which works beautifully with Maple Leaf MR buckings for an easy R-Hop. The o-rings rather than a spring though are spot on, you can buy these separately from another vendor, and you get a slightly better air seal and also reduce vibration a little 😃
@@clivearnold8796 The Begadi unit has those concave nubs as well. In 5mm and 7mm if you have a compatible barrel.
that looks kinda like a copy of the Begadi Neptune hop unit.... but worse
why would I buy this one over the begadi one?
No it doesn’t like it has more features in it, it’s easier to install and much more compatible than any other one
@@UTTPwillFAIL how does it have more features than the neptune?
@@IronPhysik just look how much parts there are to install it supports the bucking lip so better air seal, tdc system, barrel alignment grooves so it’s so much easier to install and tensioner ring systems that you can adjust so it’s much more compatible with any gun, just look at the simple design on it aswell
Found have good customer services and they provide videos on it
@@UTTPwillFAIL have you ever taken a look at the neptune?
because if you did you'd notice that all these design elements are taken from it.
infact the begadi neptune hop unit has more features and can be mounted to more guns with parts you can buy extra to fit your needs, including a BB holder system like you see on MAXX units
What the shit hop-up was inside #novritch!!!
Did you listen? He said the red one in the video wasn't stock
7:02 holly nozzle wobble... that nozzle is going to scratch the sh*t out of that poor hopup unit, top of it will take a beating.
Wrong AEG to do anything to since it's all garbage (lancer tactical rebrand).
I own this gun, and it's been a trooper so far. But keep hating ig🤷
Stupidly expensive chamber: Check!
G&G green bucking which doesn't take advantage of flat or concave nubs: Check!
I'd take 3 Retro Arms chambers over this overpriced one, it has less features than a RA and it's even more expensive than a MAXX.
Good chamber for flexing, not so much for anything else
Literally the most features in any hopup!
@@zsoltszabo2883 What? this hop up? the cheaper (never thought I would say that) MAXX has more features AND it's red, you can't beat red, I would use a red element prowin clone over this overpriced piece any day of the week
Trust me this is so much better than the maxx, every maxx review I see they have either had loads of problems with it and that’s why I’m getting this over anything else, you can’t beat the accuracy of this
And it’s 10x more easy to install
@@UTTPwillFAIL Man, if an M4 chamber needs to be easy to install being the most stupidly easy chambers to do so... well, not the most important "feature" a regular player should be looking for in a chamber.
I used the MAXX chamber as an example of a crazily overpriced chamber to compare to this same thing, even I have had less problems and better performance with ELement prowin clones than even Retro Arms, which costs a fraction of this one.
My point stands, this chamber is not a gun upgrade, it's a cash flexing accesory to the gun
